Sleuth Report: Lesley Groff’s Husband Purchases a $5.85 Million Naples Home
A multimillion dollar Florida property has been purchased through a trust bearing the name of Daniel “Ike” Groff, the husband of Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime executive assistant, Lesley Groff.
In Epstein’s Florida Shadow: Husband of Executive Buys $5 Million Home, journalist Lisa Tait reports that the Daniel M. Groff Revocable Trust purchased a luxury residence in Naples, Florida, on March 30, 2026.
The sale is a matter of public record. Its connection to Epstein comes through Lesley Groff, who managed Epstein’s schedule, travel, communications, employees, visitors, and frequent massage appointments for approximately eighteen years.
The purchase is not evidence of criminal conduct. It is relevant because it documents the current financial and geographic footprint of a family directly connected to one of the most important administrative figures in Epstein’s organization.
Report Snapshot
The property is located at 3190 Crayton Road in Naples, Florida.
Public real estate records confirm that the five bedroom residence sold for $5.85 million on March 30, 2026.
Tait’s report includes an image of the recorded deed identifying the buyer as the Daniel M. Groff Revocable Trust.
Daniel Groff is the husband of Lesley Groff, who worked for Epstein from 2001 until his July 2019 arrest.
Daniel Groff is a securities trader and a founding partner of Tourmaline Partners.
The property purchase occurred shortly before Lesley Groff appeared for a closed interview with the House Oversight Committee on June 9, 2026.
Lesley Groff has denied knowing about Epstein’s abuse. She has never been criminally charged in connection with Epstein.
The Naples Property
The property is a recently constructed luxury home in the Moorings neighborhood of Naples.
MLS records for 3190 Crayton Road describe a five bedroom residence with five full bathrooms, one partial bathroom, a pool, an elevator, a three car garage, and more than 5,000 square feet of interior living space.
The home was built in 2023. It previously sold for $6.5 million in April 2023.
The March 2026 transaction closed for $5.85 million. The available listing history identifies the sale as a cash purchase.
The public listing confirms the address, price, closing date, property dimensions, and basic transaction history. Tait’s report supplies the additional deed information connecting the purchase to the Daniel M. Groff Revocable Trust.
A revocable trust is a common estate planning and property ownership vehicle. Purchasing a residence through one is not inherently unusual or suspicious.
The relevant fact is ownership, not the legal structure itself.
Who Is Daniel “Ike” Groff?
Daniel M. Groff, commonly known as Ike Groff, is a securities trader.
A professional profile of Daniel Groff identifies him as a founding partner and cohead of global equity trading at Tourmaline Partners.
His career has included positions at Greenwich Prime Trading Group, Williams Trading, and Merrill Lynch. He earned a finance degree from Western Michigan University and an MBA from New York University.
Public reporting has connected Daniel and Lesley Groff to a multimillion dollar residence in New Canaan, Connecticut.
Tait also reports that a Florida company created in February 2026 lists the Groffs’ New Canaan address. That corporate filing and the Naples deed may provide additional avenues for researchers examining the family’s property and business structures.
No evidence reviewed for this report establishes that Daniel Groff participated in Epstein’s criminal conduct.
Lesley Groff’s Central Administrative Role
Lesley Groff began working for Epstein in 2001 and remained employed until his 2019 arrest.
Epstein reportedly described her as an “extension of my brain.”
Her responsibilities included maintaining his calendar, coordinating travel, arranging meetings, managing communications, handling staff instructions, and scheduling massages.
Released records demonstrate the scale of that work. The Epstein Data communications index identifies thousands of messages involving Groff and Epstein.
One email shows Groff arranging a meeting between Epstein and Jes Staley at Epstein’s residence. That record appears in EFTA02518927.
Another shows Groff coordinating Epstein’s participation in a Palo Alto event involving Reid Hoffman. That communication appears in EFTA00344557.
A 2014 exchange shows Groff coordinating transportation and attendance for women living in apartments connected to Epstein. The email appears in EFTA00373345.
These records establish that Groff was deeply involved in Epstein’s scheduling and logistics. They do not, by themselves, prove that she knew the criminal purpose of any specific meeting, massage, trip, or appointment.
EpsteinWiki’s Lesley Groff profile provides a broader examination of her role.
Scheduling Massages and Travel
Groff acknowledged before Congress that she scheduled massages for Epstein almost every day.
Internal investigative records went further. According to reporting based on DOJ files, investigators wrote that Groff booked flights for girls who traveled to Epstein’s residences in addition to scheduling massage appointments.
Calendar evidence cited in the Epstein files documents hundreds of appointments and flights involving women in their teens or twenties. The relevant calendar material appears in EFTA00144273.
Groff told congressional investigators that she never met the masseuses and did not know that any were minors or experiencing abuse.
She described scheduling massages as a small part of a much larger administrative workload.
Lawmakers expressed skepticism. They questioned how someone who worked closely with Epstein for eighteen years and scheduled frequent massages could have remained unaware of his conduct.
That skepticism is not a legal finding. However, it identifies the central unresolved question surrounding Groff’s role.
The Secret Florida Agreement Named Groff
Lesley Groff was specifically named in Epstein’s 2007 federal non prosecution agreement.
The agreement stated that federal prosecutors would not bring charges against Epstein’s potential co conspirators, including Sarah Kellen, Adriana Ross, Lesley Groff, and Nadia Marcinkova, if Epstein satisfied its conditions.
Groff has said that she did not know she was included in the agreement.
Her inclusion did not constitute a conviction or formal determination that she committed a crime. However, it demonstrates that federal prosecutors considered her relevant enough to name expressly in an immunity provision negotiated by Epstein’s attorneys.
The agreement protected more than the four named women. It also extended protection to unnamed potential co conspirators.
EpsteinWiki examines the agreement and its extraordinary immunity language in the article on the 2007 non prosecution agreement.
Why Florida Matters
Florida was the center of the first major criminal investigation into Epstein’s abuse.
Palm Beach police began investigating Epstein in 2005 after the family of a fourteen year old girl reported that she had been brought to his home for a paid massage.
Investigators identified additional girls and documented a recruitment system in which victims were paid to bring other girls to Epstein.
Despite the evidence collected by Palm Beach police and the FBI, Epstein received the secret federal agreement and pleaded guilty to two state offenses in 2008.
He served approximately thirteen months in the Palm Beach County stockade. He received extensive work release privileges that allowed him to leave custody for much of the day.
Florida therefore represents more than a location in Epstein’s history. It was where survivors first sought accountability and where institutions granted Epstein and his potential accomplices extraordinary protection.
The Groff family’s new Naples property has no demonstrated connection to Epstein’s Palm Beach residence or crimes. Its significance is historical and geographic rather than evidentiary.
The 2026 Congressional Interview
Lesley Groff appeared before the House Oversight Committee on June 9, 2026.
She told lawmakers that Epstein had been a master manipulator who separated his legitimate activities from his secret life.
Groff said Epstein persuaded her that his Florida prosecution resulted from a financial shakedown. She claimed that she believed him, in part because his sentence was so lenient.
She denied knowingly facilitating abuse and said she would not have remained silent had she understood what Epstein was doing.
Connecticut reporting on Groff’s testimony documented substantial skepticism from committee members.
Representative Stephen Lynch questioned whether someone who worked for Epstein for eighteen years could credibly maintain that she observed nothing improper.
Representative James Walkinshaw said he did not know how a reasonable person could believe her account.
Those statements reflect lawmakers’ assessments. They are not criminal findings.
Groff’s Denials and Legal Status
Lesley Groff has never been criminally charged in connection with Epstein.
She has consistently denied knowingly participating in his sexual abuse or trafficking operation.
Her attorney has argued that the decision not to prosecute her after voluntary interviews demonstrates that she had no criminal involvement.
Groff has also described harassment, threats, and serious emotional consequences resulting from her connection to Epstein.
Responsible reporting must include those facts. A person’s inclusion in Epstein’s records or proximity to his operation does not automatically establish criminal guilt.
At the same time, Groff’s administrative role is documented. She scheduled massages, coordinated travel, managed communications, and remained employed after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.
The unresolved issue is what she understood about the activities she was facilitating.

- Daniel Groff is Lesley Groff’s husband and a securities trading executive.
- Lesley Groff worked as Epstein’s executive assistant from 2001 through 2019.
- She scheduled frequent massages and coordinated extensive travel, meetings, and communications for Epstein.
- She was named in the immunity language of Epstein’s Florida non prosecution agreement.
- She testified before the House Oversight Committee in June 2026 and denied knowing about Epstein’s crimes.
What the Evidence Does Not Establish
- The property purchase does not establish money laundering, concealment, or another financial crime.
- The use of a revocable trust does not independently indicate wrongdoing.
- There is no public evidence reviewed for this report showing that Epstein funded the Naples purchase.
- There is no evidence that the Naples residence was used for activities connected to Epstein.
- There is also no evidence establishing that Daniel Groff participated in Epstein’s abuse or trafficking operation.
- The transaction should be documented as a current property connection, not presented as proof of criminal conduct.
Key Takeaways
- The Naples purchase provides a current public record connected to the household of one of Epstein’s closest administrative employees.
- The transaction occurred while renewed investigations were examining what Epstein’s assistants knew and how his organization operated.
- Lesley Groff’s significance does not come from her marriage or current residence. It comes from her eighteen years of direct access to Epstein’s schedule, travel, visitors, communications, and massage appointments.
- The property record is therefore a lead, not a conclusion.
- Future research should examine the recorded deed, mortgage records, Florida corporate filings, trust documents available through public records, and any property disclosures connected to the transaction.
- Researchers should not imply that the house or trust represents criminal proceeds without financial evidence establishing such a connection.
