New contributors start with public materials: published sources, court records, open research and indexing tasks. As contributors demonstrate reliable, evidence-based work over time, they may be invited to take on more. Access to unpublished research, internal materials, and sensitive work is offered later, in stages, based on demonstrated reliability and project need. It is not requested here and isn't granted by this form. We deliberately ask for very little at this stage. You don't need to identify yourself to start contributing to public-source work. Submitting this does not guarantee acceptance or access to anything. Applications that do not agree to all terms contained in the Legal and Communications Agreement, Contributor Agreement, and Departure and Offboarding Agreement will not be processed.
