Dr. Evelyn Gruss Lipper: Pediatrician, Philanthropist and a Question in the 1992 Flight Records

Kenneth Lipper also appears in separate reporting on 1991 Harvard Hillel fundraising with Epstein and Leslie Wexner.

Evidence standard: A flight listing records a possible shared trip. It does not establish knowledge of Epstein’s abuse, participation in it or a continuing relationship.

Rockefeller University’s biography of Dr. Lipper describes a physician whose work in developmental pediatrics developed into decades of support for medical research. The Epstein connection that researchers are examining is much narrower: a 1992 flight record indexed under the title “Mrs Lipper.” Her professional and charitable work should be described on its own terms while the passenger identification remains open to checking against the original log.

Medical Career

Weill Cornell Medicine’s faculty profile identifies Lipper as a clinical associate professor emerita of pediatrics who trained in parent and infant psychotherapy and specialized in developmental and behavioral pediatrics. She received a bachelor’s degree from Simmons College and an M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She later directed Weill Cornell’s Division of Developmental Pediatrics.

Rockefeller University’s account places her medical degree in 1971, her move to Weill Cornell in 1982 and her appointment as division chief in 1990. It says she joined Rockefeller’s University Council in 1983, became a trustee in 1992 and became trustee emerita in 2021. These details come from the institutions where she worked or served.

Philanthropy and Family Background

The EGL Charitable Foundation says Lipper established it in New York in 2011, extending philanthropic work begun by her parents, Joseph and Caroline Gruss. The Gruss Life Monument Funds likewise identifies her as their daughter. The family organizations describe support for Jewish education, medical and scientific work.

Montefiore Einstein’s account of her gifts documents support for magnetic resonance research, biophotonics and an imaging program for cancer research. Rockefeller University’s biography describes her support for scientific equipment and its Women & Science initiative. None of these institutional accounts connects those gifts to Epstein.

The Harvard Crimson’s 1998 interview with Dr. Lipper identifies a Kenneth and Evelyn Lipper Foundation gift of more than $3 million for a proposed Holocaust studies chair. Harvard did not appoint a scholar to the chair at that time. The report says the Lippers redirected their initial $1 million installment toward a Harvard Medical School computational genetics program. This establishes a public record of their shared philanthropy in that period. It does not explain the purpose of any 1992 flight.

Kenneth Lipper, Epstein and Harvard Hillel

The Harvard Crimson’s reporting on Rosovsky Hall says a 1991 report named Kenneth Lipper, Jeffrey Epstein, Leslie Wexner and Robert Meister among men who pledged to raise money for the Harvard Hillel building. The Hillel director later said Epstein helped arrange the leading Wexner gift but did not personally fund that leading donation. The director identified a separate $50,000 contribution from Epstein at a 1991 fundraiser. This is a documented connection involving Kenneth Lipper. The reporting does not assign Dr. Evelyn Lipper a role in the fundraising effort.

Both Harvard accounts concern philanthropy, but they describe different gifts: the Hillel building and the Kenneth and Evelyn Lipper Foundation’s proposed Holocaust studies chair. They should not be merged into one donation or used to imply that Dr. Lipper participated in Epstein’s Hillel fundraising.

Kenneth Lipper in Maxwell’s Later Account

The Justice Department’s July 24, 2025 interview transcript, page 101 records Ghislaine Maxwell naming “Kenny Lipper” while recalling people she associated with Epstein in the 1990s. This is Maxwell’s later recollection and pertains to Kenneth, not Dr. Evelyn Lipper. It is separate from the flight index and from the contemporaneous Harvard reporting.

Insider’s reporting reproduced by TuzaraPost says Kenneth Lipper managed some of Leslie Wexner’s money and sent Epstein reports about that work. This provides a reported financial context for the two men’s contact. The reporting does not assign that business activity to Dr. Lipper.

The April 29, 1992 Flight Listing

The outbound flight index describes a trip from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Boston on April 29, 1992. It transcribes the passenger notes as Jeffrey, Ghislaine, Bob Wendy, Ken Lipper, Mrs Lipper and Ms Lipper. The return index lists Boston to Teterboro that day and adds a second “Ms Lipper.” Both indexes expand “Mrs Lipper” to Dr. Evelyn Gruss Lipper and attribute the information to page 9 of a flight records disclosure. A precise official source citation for that page has not been independently established.

That full name is an indexer’s identification, not the name as transcribed in the passenger notes. Contemporaneous Harvard reporting establishes that Evelyn and Kenneth Lipper were associated as a couple during the 1990s, making the identification plausible. The original page has not yet been inspected here, so the flight listing is a research lead rather than a confirmed personal travel history. The indexes give aircraft registration N108JE, while another circulating transcription gives N908JE for the same date and route. That conflict makes an image of the source log important before a tail number is published as fact.

The notes include other family members identified only by title. This article does not assign names to them. A recorded passenger name, even when confirmed, says nothing by itself about a passenger’s knowledge of another person’s crimes.

No verified EFTA number for the April 1992 entries is supplied here. Researchers should locate the original page in an authenticated release, inspect the passenger notation and record the source identifier before treating the full name or aircraft registration as settled. The Maxwell trial flight log exhibits often cited in Epstein research should not automatically be substituted for this earlier 1992 entry without finding the exact page.
