EFTA00173122: The Beige Massage Table in FBI Evidence
EFTA00173122 is an FBI evidence photograph of a worn beige massage table stored in a warehouse or evidence facility. The image does not identify the object by itself. The immediately preceding record, EFTA00173121, does: it lists FBI item 1B132 as “One (1) beige massage table,” assigns barcode E6516021, and records a collection date of August 28, 2006 at 11:50 a.m. EST.
The collection address on that record is 345 South County Road, Palm Beach, Florida. That address belongs to the Palm Beach Police Department, not to Jeffrey Epstein. The record therefore documents an FBI evidence acquisition from police custody. It should not be described as proof that federal agents personally removed this table from an Epstein residence on August 28, 2006.
The beige table was one of four color identified massage tables carried from the earlier Miami investigation into the later New York child sex trafficking case. The other three were brown, green, and peach. A green Florida massage table was later listed as Government Exhibit 51 and physically displayed at Ghislaine Maxwell’s 2021 trial. The released records reviewed here do not show that the beige table in EFTA00173122 was that trial exhibit.
The strongest responsible conclusion is narrow but important: EFTA00173122 depicts the beige massage table that federal evidence records identify as item 1B132. It formed part of the preserved physical evidence connected to the Epstein investigations. The photograph and inventory do not prove that Epstein used this specific table, that a particular survivor was assaulted on it, or where inside any property it originally stood.

Key Findings
- The object is identified by an adjacent FBI record. EFTA00173121 names item 1B132 as one beige massage table. EFTA00173122 is the photograph that immediately follows it in the production.
- The table entered the FBI record through Palm Beach police custody. The collection address is the Palm Beach Police Department at 345 South County Road. It is not Epstein’s Palm Beach residence.
- The date must be interpreted carefully. The FBI record says the item was collected on August 28, 2006 and describes the acquisition event as items migrated on that date. This records entry into or migration within federal evidence systems. It does not, by itself, identify when or where Palm Beach police first seized the table.
- Four Palm Beach massage tables were preserved. Federal inventories list brown item 1B131, beige item 1B132, green item 1B133, and peach item 1B134.
- The green table has the clearest original police tag. Item 1B133 includes the identifier PBPD05-1024. The beige item description does not include an equivalent visible Palm Beach police number.
- The beige table was retained across investigations. It appears in the original Miami evidence inventory, a March 2019 discussion of transporting evidence to New York, later split records, the New York case inventory, and the public DOJ evidence list.
- The March 2019 transport email predates Epstein’s July 2019 arrest. An Assistant United States Attorney reviewed the earlier physical evidence and proposed transferring everything to New York except four very large massage tables. The message shows active federal review of the tables during the renewed investigation.
- A Florida massage table was used at Maxwell’s trial, but the released exhibit index describes it as green. Contemporary reporting also describes the courtroom table as green. That is inconsistent with the beige item shown here.
- The photograph has evidentiary limits. It establishes the table’s physical appearance at the time of photography. It does not establish ownership, use, original room, biological evidence, or connection to any named survivor.

What the Photograph Shows
EFTA00173122 is a single overhead photograph. It shows a beige upholstered massage table separated into two main assemblies.
The lower assembly is a long rectangular padded section with dark wear or discoloration around several edges and corners. The upper assembly has a wider torso section, two narrow parallel head or shoulder pads, visible metal brackets, and a central wrapped component between the narrow pads. A small blue object lies on the concrete near the upper right side of the table.
The table is not staged in a treatment room. It rests on a concrete floor beside other furniture or equipment. A circular yellow floor marker with a forklift warning symbol is visible to the right. That marker, together with the industrial floor and surrounding objects, is consistent with a warehouse or evidence storage setting.
The image permits several direct observations:
- the upholstery is beige or cream colored
- the table is sectional and partly disassembled
- its surfaces show visible wear, darkening, or staining
- metal supports and attachment points are exposed
- the photograph was taken in an industrial storage environment
- the Bates number EFTA00173122 appears at the bottom right
The photograph does not reveal a manufacturer, serial number, police tag, room label, property address, date, photographer, or evidence scale. No person appears in the frame. The dark areas cannot be identified as biological material from the image. Describing them as blood, bodily fluid, or forensic staining would be unsupported.

The sequencing is persuasive. EFTA00173121 is the item record. The next page, EFTA00173122, is the beige table photograph. The surrounding pairs use the same pattern: a record page followed by a photograph of the named table.
That sequence identifies the object more reliably than automated image recognition. It is a massage table because the federal evidence record calls it one, not because its design merely resembles medical or treatment furniture.
The Collection Address Is a Police Station
The phrase “Collected From” on EFTA00173121 is followed by 345 South County Road, Palm Beach, Florida 33480. The Town of Palm Beach Police Department lists that exact address as its headquarters.
This corrects a potentially serious misreading. The record does not say that the FBI collected the beige table at Epstein’s mansion. It says the FBI collected it from the address of the local police department.
The careful reconstruction is:
- Palm Beach police had custody of physical evidence connected to their Epstein investigation.
- The FBI later recorded acquisition of the beige table from the police department address.
- The table entered the federal Miami case inventory.
- Federal personnel later reviewed and migrated it into the New York case.
The released item record does not identify the first officer who seized the beige table, its precise original location, or the date of its initial Palm Beach police recovery. Those facts may exist in underlying property receipts, photographs, search records, or police evidence logs that are not paired with this image.
The Four Palm Beach Massage Tables
The beige table was not an isolated item. The evidence sequence and later federal inventory identify four large tables from the earlier Palm Beach investigation.

The associated record pages are EFTA00173119 for the brown table, EFTA00173121 for the beige table, EFTA00173123 for the green table, and EFTA00173125 for the peach table.
The matching times suggest two evidence groupings. The brown and beige tables were logged at 11:50 a.m. under original item 1B1. The green and peach tables were logged at 11:00 a.m. under original item 1B2. The records do not explain whether the groupings represent separate police property containers, separate locations, or separate administrative transfers.
From the Miami Case to the New York Case
The table’s changing identifiers reflect case administration, not four different beige tables.
The early evidence inventory associates the table with Miami case 31E-MM-108062 and identifies it as original item 1B1 number 6. A June 1, 2021 split record, EFTA00173109, shows that evidence from 1B1 was divided into new items under case 50D-NY-3027571. The beige table became 1B132, and the brown table became 1B131.
The 2019 Sentinel working copy displays 31E-NY-3027571. Later records and the official DOJ evidence list use 50D-NY-3027571. The public documents do not explain every identifier change, but they connect the same item description, barcode, collection date, and physical table across the administrative transition.

This chain supports continuity of the item. It does not disclose every physical movement between Palm Beach, Miami, New York, and the storage locations represented by the internal location codes.
The March 2019 Evidence Transport Decision
EFTA00037804 is a March 16, 2019 email from an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York. The prosecutor wrote that the earlier evidence list had been reviewed and that nearly everything should be transferred to New York, except extremely large items.

The prosecutor said that, at that stage, New York did not need to house the tables and invited colleagues to object if they disagreed about holding off on transporting them.
This email is important for timing. It predates Epstein’s July 2019 arrest by several months and shows that Southern District of New York prosecutors were already reviewing physical evidence from the prior investigation. It also explains why the tables may have remained outside New York even as other evidence moved north.
The email does not say the tables lacked evidentiary value. It describes them as extremely large and frames the decision as one about storage and transport.
Connection to the Maxwell Trial
The October 28, 2021 Government Exhibit Index in EFTA00090941 lists two physical massage tables:

Contemporary Reuters reporting and Associated Press reporting describe a green massage table seized from Epstein’s Palm Beach property being brought into the courtroom. Prosecutors used it to corroborate testimony about the role massage appointments played in Epstein’s abuse. The defense objected to the display as prejudicial.
The green color and Florida provenance point toward item 1B133, whose evidence description includes the Palm Beach police identifier PBPD05-1024. The released exhibit index, however, does not itself print the FBI item number next to GX-51. Unless a sticker image, trial transcript, or chain of custody exhibit explicitly joins those identifiers, the precise mapping should be described as strongly supported rather than absolute.
Why the Beige Table Is Not the Green Trial Exhibit
Three independent distinctions separate EFTA00173122 from the table described in trial reporting.

It would therefore be inaccurate to caption EFTA00173122 as “the massage table shown to the Maxwell jury.” The federal record shows that it belonged to the same broader group of Palm Beach massage table evidence. It does not show that this beige table entered the courtroom.
Why Massage Tables Were Relevant Evidence
Massage appointments were not incidental to the criminal cases against Epstein and Maxwell. Survivor testimony, witness testimony, police evidence, message pads, and scheduling records repeatedly described massages as the setting or pretext through which Epstein obtained access to girls and young women and escalated encounters into sexual abuse.
At Maxwell’s trial, prosecutors used the Florida massage table as a physical corroborating exhibit. News accounts reported that a witness who said Epstein began abusing her when she was 14 described a massage room at the Palm Beach residence. A former Palm Beach police officer identified the green table recovered during the local investigation.
That context explains why multiple tables were preserved and later reviewed by federal prosecutors. It does not authorize a claim that every table was used in every residence or in every reported assault. Each item’s provenance must be established separately.
For EFTA00173122, the evidence establishes inclusion in the Palm Beach police to FBI evidence stream. It does not identify a survivor, a specific incident, a room, or forensic test result connected to the beige table.
The Separate New York Green Table
The official DOJ evidence list contains another item, 1B11, described simply as one green massage table. That item appears in the same New York case inventory near evidence collected through later searches. It is distinct from Palm Beach item 1B133, which is also green but includes the identifier PBPD05-1024.
The Maxwell exhibit index likewise distinguishes a Florida massage table, GX-51, from a New York massage table, GX-57. Color alone is therefore not enough to identify a table. Any article or caption must use the item number, jurisdiction, police tag, and exhibit label together.

A mirrored PDF differs from the DOJ file by one byte in total size and has a different PDF hash, but both copies contain the same embedded image bytes. That indicates a container level difference rather than a different photograph.
The uploaded JPEG is a smaller rendered derivative. It is useful for visual review, but the DOJ PDF remains the authoritative released container.
Database Classification and Release Status
Public corpus metadata places EFTA00173122 in DOJ Data Set 9 and classifies it as a one page image with no sender or email date. One partner status record labels the document “removed,” even though the direct DOJ PDF remains accessible. That status should not be interpreted as a finding that the evidence was destroyed or removed from FBI custody. It appears to describe database or publication state.
One image analysis record incorrectly assigns the page to Data Set 1, while the full corpus path and official DOJ URL place it in Data Set 9. The document identifier and image remain consistent. The dataset label conflict is a cataloging discrepancy.

Why This Record Matters
EFTA00173122 is visually simple, but its surrounding records make it significant. It is not a generic furniture photograph. It documents one of several massage tables preserved as physical evidence across the Palm Beach, Miami, and New York phases of the Epstein investigations.
The image also demonstrates why context must come before interpretation. Without EFTA00173121, the object could be mislabeled as a medical examination chair or unidentified padded furniture. Without checking the collection address, a reader could wrongly claim it was collected at Epstein’s home. Without comparing the other table records and the Maxwell exhibit index, the beige table could be confused with the green Florida table shown to jurors.
Its evidentiary importance lies in the chain, not in speculation about stains or use. Palm Beach police held the object. The FBI inventoried it. Federal prosecutors reviewed whether to transport it.
