Important Points and Key Takeaways

Greg Conners’s original article publishes an October 19 request asking New Mexico authorities to pursue aircraft records held by federal investigators. He reports receiving an acknowledgment from the attorney general’s office the next morning.

The request is useful because it identifies a specific documentary target. It does not establish that the requested spreadsheets have been released, that state investigators obtained them or that any particular person traveled on the aircraft.

The opening assertion about helicopter transport to New Mexico is broader than the correspondence independently checked here can establish. Flight plans and aircraft associations must not be substituted for verified passenger evidence.

Evidence Appearances and Exact References

EFTA00010702 is a five page email chain. In the readable release copy, page 1, stamped EFTA00010702, names five spreadsheet attachments and contains the January 28, 2020 FAA transmission discussing flight plan information.

The filenames concern N331JE for 2010 through 2020; N491GM for 2000 through 2009 and 2010 through 2020; and N722JE for 2010 through 2014 and 2015 through 2020. The same page says the earliest information in the supplied batch dates to 2007. A filename’s date range is not proof of actual coverage.

Page 2, EFTA00010703, supplies message codes for arrivals, departures, amendments and cancellations. It also records a January 14 transmission discussing registration files and Hyperion Air LLC documents. These references establish what the correspondence says was transmitted. The underlying spreadsheet rows were not obtained.

Page 4, EFTA00010705, preserves the FBI request for aircraft information and passenger manifests where available. The message acknowledges that manifests are sometimes unavailable. It does not promise that the five spreadsheets contain passenger names.

The Request and Its Significance

The published request asks the state to obtain the federal attachments, consider preservation and compulsory process if relevant New Mexico movements appear, and resolve N491GM’s identity and registration history. Those are requests by the reporter, not confirmed investigative steps by the state.

The distinction matters. An acknowledgment can establish that correspondence reached an office without establishing agreement, a subpoena, preservation demands or receipt of the underlying records.

EpsteinWiki’s existing helicopter spreadsheet report provides related coverage of the original retrieval lead. This follow up concerns the attempt to move that lead into a state records process.

Uncertainties and Open Questions

The reported acknowledgment was not obtained directly from the agency. No independent confirmation of subsequent state action, complete spreadsheet production or passenger identities was established.

Do agencies still hold the original attachments with their metadata? Which entries represent completed movements rather than amendments or cancellations? What separate records establish who traveled?

Survivor identities and redacted passenger identities are not reconstructed. An appearance in an aircraft record does not establish wrongdoing. Absence from the documents reviewed does not prove destruction or deliberate suppression.
