EFTA00580834: “G. Max” Email About the “New WTC Building!” Message

Snapshot

EFTA00580834 is a one page email record containing a September 2001 exchange about an image circulated under the subject “New WTC Building!”

The sender is displayed as “G. Max” and signs the message “Gx.” Related copies of the same message sequence identify the sender as Ghislaine Maxwell.

Maxwell originally circulated an image and asked what the recipient thought of the architecture. After someone asked where the image came from, Maxwell joked that she had designed it before explaining that a friend sent it to her.

The surviving page does not include the image. Related email headers identify the attachment as NewWTC.jpg, but the released records reviewed for this article do not show the actual picture. The evidence therefore cannot establish what the image depicted, whether it was serious or satirical, or who created it.

Jeffrey Epstein is not shown as a sender, recipient, or copied party in EFTA00580834. The document’s presence in the released archive does not prove that Epstein received, discussed, or knew about the message.

Email Content

The quoted original message identifies “G. Max” as the sender and Jacqueline Marcus as the recipient. It was reportedly sent on the morning of September 17, 2001.

Maxwell asked:

“What do you think of this architecture”

A reply sent later that day asked:

“where is this from???”

Maxwell responded that she had designed it herself, then immediately said she was joking and that a friend had sent it to her.

She signed the message “Gx.”

The exchange is brief and informal. It does not discuss financing, construction, official planning, government approval, ownership, or a professional architectural commission.

The Date Is September 2001, Not the Year 4501

The reconstructed header at the top of EFTA00580834 displays January 1, 4501. That is not a credible date for the underlying communication.

Several internal elements establish the actual period:

  • The quoted original message is dated September 17, 2001.
  • The recipient’s question is timestamped September 17, 2001.
  • The raw Eudora information at the bottom references September 18, 2001.
  • EFTA00581830, another copy of the reply, carries a valid date of September 18, 2001.
  • The subject concerns the World Trade Center only days after the September 11 attacks.

The year 4501 appears across several imported messages from this mailbox. It should be treated as a corrupted date produced during export, conversion, or later database processing.

Identification of “G. Max”

EFTA00580834 identifies the sender only as “G. Max,” but related records strongly establish that the sender was Ghislaine Maxwell.

EFTA00581798 preserves another message with the same sender label and subject. That message is signed “Ghislaine.”

EFTA02333924 contains another copy of the same message and also ends with the name Ghislaine.

EFTA02334297 contains a response in the same subject thread that addresses the sender as Ghislaine.

EFTA02333632 associates the “G. Max” display name with the email address gmaxl@mindspring.com in a copy sent to actor Liev Schreiber.

Taken together, these records provide strong evidence that “G. Max” was Ghislaine Maxwell rather than an unidentified person who happened to use similar initials.

The Missing Attachment

EFTA00580834 does not display or reproduce the image under discussion.

Related versions of the forwarded message contain an attachment path ending in NewWTC.jpg. Examples include EFTA02333925 and EFTA02333924.

The main reply shows no attachment in its raw attachment field. This is consistent with an email reply preserving quoted text without carrying forward the original image file.

Because the image has not been identified in the released material reviewed for this article, the record does not establish:

  • What the building looked like.
  • Whether the image depicted one tower or multiple towers.
  • Whether it was a serious architectural concept.
  • Whether it was satire, political commentary, or a visual joke.
  • Who created the image.
  • Who first sent it to Maxwell.
  • Whether it was ever connected to an official rebuilding proposal.

The subject and conversation concern a purported World Trade Center building image, but the missing attachment prevents verification of its content.

Historical Context

The original message was sent less than one week after the September 11, 2001 attacks destroyed the World Trade Center towers.

Related messages in the same subject cluster show Maxwell telling correspondents that she had been in New York, had left for Florida, and found New York difficult following the attacks.

In EFTA00581249, Maxwell said she had been in New York but had since reached Florida.

In EFTA00581250, she referred to the circulated image as her tower picture and said she had left New York for Palm Beach.

These related emails help establish the timing and emotional context of the circulation. They do not reveal the creator or original source of NewWTC.jpg.

Named Correspondents

The main page and related records contain several names, but their roles require careful distinction.

Ghislaine Maxwell: The sender identified as “G. Max” and “Gx.”

Jacqueline Marcus: Named as the recipient of the quoted original message.

Jacqueline Josephson: Named as the sender of the standalone question preserved in EFTA00580586.

Philip Levine: Listed in the lower raw Eudora header of EFTA00580834. The displayed reconstruction redacts the recipient fields, so the precise relationship between this header and the quoted Jacqueline exchange is not fully explained.

The records do not establish whether Jacqueline Marcus and Jacqueline Josephson are the same person, different people, or the result of inconsistent contact labels in the archived mailbox.

No biography or relationship claim should be attached to Philip Levine without additional identifying information because multiple public figures share that name.

Wider Circulation of the Image

The archive shows that Maxwell circulated the same subject and apparent image to multiple recipients.

The subject cluster includes messages involving:

  • Liev Schreiber.
  • Randall Scerbo.
  • Recipients saved as Jackie, Linda, Eric, Bill, Harry N, and Gibby.
  • Additional recipients whose identifying information is redacted.

In EFTA00578596, Liev Schreiber replied to the forwarded message by asking how Maxwell was doing.

In EFTA00580113, Maxwell responded with personal updates about New York, a renovated townhouse, a management consulting business, helicopter training, and travel to Tangier.

These records show that the image circulated through Maxwell’s personal contacts. They do not establish that every recipient knew Epstein or participated in any Epstein related conduct.

What the Record Establishes

EFTA00580834 and the related copies establish that:

  • Ghislaine Maxwell circulated an image under the subject “New WTC Building!”
  • The circulation occurred on September 16 and 17, 2001.
  • A recipient asked where the image originated.
  • Maxwell joked that she had designed it.
  • Maxwell then said a friend had sent it to her.
  • The quoted original names Jacqueline Marcus as a recipient.
  • A related reply is attributed to Jacqueline Josephson.
  • A raw header identifies Philip Levine.
  • The same image or subject was forwarded to multiple contacts.
  • Related headers identify the missing attachment as NewWTC.jpg.
  • The year 4501 is corrupted metadata.

What the Record Does Not Establish

The evidence does not establish:

  • Who created NewWTC.jpg.
  • Which friend sent the image to Maxwell.
  • What the attachment depicted.
  • Whether the image was serious, satirical, altered, or authentic.
  • Whether the image represented an official World Trade Center proposal.
  • Whether Maxwell had any role in World Trade Center planning or redevelopment.
  • Whether Jeffrey Epstein received or saw the message.
  • Whether Epstein had any connection to the image.
  • Whether every recipient belonged to Epstein’s personal or professional network.
  • Whether Jacqueline Marcus and Jacqueline Josephson were the same person.
  • Which Philip Levine appears in the raw header.
  • That the communication relates to criminal conduct.

Why This Document Matters

EFTA00580834 helps reconstruct Maxwell’s communications and social contacts in September 2001. It also demonstrates how one forwarded attachment generated multiple messages and duplicate evidence records across the released archive.

Its value is primarily archival. The message assists with identifying Maxwell’s email alias, email software, contact cluster, movements following September 11, and the circulation history of a missing attachment.

The email should not be presented as evidence of Epstein’s participation or as evidence of wrongdoing. Its presence in an Epstein related production explains why it belongs in the archive, but presence alone does not establish criminal relevance.

The missing attachment remains the most important unresolved evidentiary issue.

Evidence Appearances

The complete reply appears under several evidence identifiers:

Related parts of the same exchange include:

  • EFTA00580586, the standalone question asking where the image originated.
  • EFTA02334287, another copy of that question.
  • EFTA00580757, a header identifying Jacqueline Marcus as the recipient of the forwarded message.
  • EFTA00580827, the original architecture question.
  • EFTA00581253, another copy of the original question.
  • EFTA02333925, a related forward identifying NewWTC.jpg as an attachment.

These identifiers represent repeated appearances and separate stages of the same circulating email thread. They should not be counted as independent incidents.
