Ghislaine Maxwell Entities
Snapshot
- Page type: Umbrella organization and asset network article
- Subject: Corporations, limited liability companies, trusts, nonprofits, charities, property vehicles, and outside businesses connected to Ghislaine Noelle Marion Maxwell
- Primary jurisdictions: United States, United Kingdom, and offshore or unresolved jurisdictions
- Relevant period: Approximately 1997 through 2020
- Central individual: Ghislaine Noelle Marion Maxwell
- Central Epstein connection: Several entities held, moved, managed, or documented assets and activities involving both Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein. Other entities provided Maxwell with charitable, professional, property, investment, or aviation functions.
- Core confirmed entities: Max Foundation Trust; Air Ghislaine Inc.; Max Hotel Services Corp.; 116 East 65th Street LLC; ELLMAX LLC; Ellmax Enterprise Limited; Pot and Kettle LLC; The TerraMar Project Inc.; TerraMar UK; Angara Trust; Montpelier Trust; Granite Realty LLC
- Outside company directorship: Jemma Kidd Make-Up Limited
- Important distinction: This page is an index of legally separate entities. It is not one legal organization and does not claim that every listed entity was owned by Maxwell or used in criminal conduct.
- Criminal status of Maxwell: Convicted in federal court in 2021 and sentenced in 2022 to 20 years in prison for offenses arising from her participation with Epstein in the sexual exploitation and abuse of minors
- Criminal status of the entities: No reviewed source shows that any entity listed on this page was separately convicted in Maxwell’s federal criminal case.
- EpsteinWiki involvement assessment: Entity specific. The entities range from Level 2, documented contact, to Level 3, repeated association. Granite Realty merits heightened scrutiny because it was used to purchase the secluded property where Maxwell was arrested, but no separate criminal judgment was entered against the company.
- Key evidence: Corporate registries, nonprofit tax returns, bank due diligence files, bank statements, wire records, trust forms, FAA records, property records, subpoenas, court exhibits, and estate records
- Content warning: This article discusses sexual exploitation of minors, trafficking, financial secrecy, alleged concealment, and survivor testimony without unnecessary graphic detail.
- Fact check date: September 8, 2026
- Key takeaway: Maxwell used a layered collection of personal entities, trusts, charities, property companies, and bank accounts. The network shows extensive financial and organizational infrastructure, but each entity must be evaluated separately for ownership, purpose, control, and any connection to criminal conduct.
Overview
The phrase Ghislaine Maxwell entities refers to a group of legally distinct organizations and financial vehicles connected to Maxwell through ownership, control, trusteeship, directorship, banking authority, property use, or repeated financial activity. It is a research label, not a registered corporate name.
The records reveal several different functions. TerraMar gave Maxwell a public charitable identity and access to international policy circles. Max Foundation operated as her private foundation. ELLMAX LLC and Pot and Kettle LLC held bank, credit card, or investment activity. Angara Trust and Montpelier Trust received substantial assets. Granite Realty LLC acquired the secluded New Hampshire property where federal agents arrested her. Air Ghislaine Inc. held aircraft related assets and received millions of dollars originating with Epstein. Max Hotel Services Corp. and 116 East 65th Street LLC were connected to her home and finances, although records also tie their ownership or decision making to Epstein and his attorney Darren Indyke.
The network cannot be accurately described as a single shell company system. Some entities had public programs. Some held property or aircraft. Some made investments. Some were charities governed by tax law. Some were companies in which Maxwell was only one director. Several were legally connected to Epstein even when their names or activities centered on Maxwell.
Maxwell’s federal conviction changes the context in which the entities must be examined, but it does not automatically make every company transaction criminal. The Department of Justice sentencing announcement states that Maxwell assisted, facilitated, and participated in Epstein’s abuse of minor girls from at least 1994 through approximately 2004. An entity formed years later cannot be retroactively treated as an instrument of those offenses without evidence tying it to the conduct.

The scale measures the documented relationship of each entity to the Epstein and Maxwell record. It does not replace a criminal or civil finding.
Why Entity Identity Matters
Names can mislead. A company called Air Ghislaine may still have been financed or administered by Epstein. A company called Max Hotel Services may have been wholly owned by Epstein even though Maxwell directed its account and it used her townhouse address. A bank account titled in the name of an LLC does not reveal the beneficial owner, source of funds, or purpose of every payment.
This page uses four separate questions:
- Who legally owned the entity?
- Who exercised practical control?
- Who had banking or signing authority?
- What did the entity actually do?
The answers can be different. A lawyer may be an officer or process contact without being beneficial owner. A person may direct a payment without owning the account. A property company may hold legal title while another person supplies the money and occupies the property. A charity may owe its founder money without every expenditure being personal.
When the record is incomplete, the entity is described as associated with Maxwell rather than owned by Maxwell.
Max Foundation Trust
Legal Identity
Max Foundation Trust, also shown as Max Foundation, was a United States private foundation associated with Maxwell. The ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer profile identifies EIN 65 6194566 and lists Maxwell as trustee on multiple Form 990 PF returns. Earlier filings name other trustees, including Dana Burns or Dana Perry and, in records discussed by researchers, Darren Indyke.
The filing history reaches back to the early 2000s. An Epstein office file index lists foundation material including correspondence, research, contributions, a trust agreement, trustee appointments and resignations, account documents, exempt status records, 1997 donations, and a 2007 Form 990 PF. EFTA00299919 places this material in the archived business files.
Financial Record
Bank records establish more than a name match:
- EFTA01582789 identifies Jeffrey Epstein as a decision maker linked to the Max Foundation in a JPMorgan record.
- EFTA00236034 records a 2014 bank communication confirming funds received for Max Foundation and TerraMar Project Inc.
- EFTA01277005 is a UBS account record showing a balance associated with the foundation.
- EFTA00270889 preserves a check from Max Foundation to accounting firm Marks Paneth LLP.
- EFTA01582795 records a foundation address used in bank due diligence.
The fact that Epstein was identified as a decision maker is stronger than a mere mention. It indicates documented authority or recognized influence within the bank relationship. It does not, by itself, prove that Epstein legally owned the trust, directed every grant, or used it for trafficking.
Grants and Public Purpose
The foundation made relatively small charitable distributions in several years. Public reporting identified a 2008 grant to Girls Educational and Mentoring Services, an organization serving young people affected by commercial sexual exploitation. The grant is historically striking given Maxwell’s later conviction, but the payment alone does not establish motive, knowledge by the recipient, or misuse of the recipient organization.
Evidence Assessment
Max Foundation is a confirmed Maxwell entity with a documented Epstein decision making connection. It merits Level 3 because the relationship was repeated and operational. The reviewed record does not establish that the foundation itself recruited victims, paid for abuse, or was charged as a criminal organization.
Air Ghislaine Inc.
Function and Aircraft Records
Air Ghislaine Inc. was an aviation entity used to hold or operate aircraft connected to the Epstein network. FAA material in EFTA00016622 includes registration and ownership records for aircraft in the Air Ghislaine name. The same package shows interaction with Epstein pilot Larry Visoski.
Bank statements beginning at EFTA01487245 and an image of an Air Ghislaine statement at EFTA00020592 document active financial accounts. A JPMorgan due diligence record at EFTA01582846 identifies the company within the bank relationship.
Epstein Funding and the Helicopter Purchase
At Maxwell’s 2021 trial, prosecutors presented bank records showing that Epstein transferred millions of dollars to Maxwell. In 2007, approximately $7.4 million moved through Maxwell’s account and then into an Air Ghislaine transaction used to purchase a Sikorsky helicopter. Reuters’ trial report describes the evidence shown to the jury. A Senate Finance Committee investigative memorandum also addresses Epstein payments to Maxwell and the Air Ghislaine transaction.
This evidence establishes a major Epstein funded asset transfer connected to an entity bearing Maxwell’s name. It does not by itself establish that the helicopter was bought with criminal proceeds or used to transport victims.
Name Changes and Control Questions
Later records connect Air Ghislaine to Shmitka Air Inc. and Freedom Air International Inc. EFTA01654901 indicates that successive names were associated with the same JPMorgan checking relationship. Aviation records should be used to determine whether this reflected a legal name change, asset transfer, banking title update, or a combination of those events.
Maxwell later denied that Air Ghislaine had anything to do with her. That denial conflicts with the entity name, trial banking evidence, and related records, but the precise legal ownership during every year still requires the underlying incorporation and stock records.
Evidence Assessment
Air Ghislaine merits Level 3. It reflects repeated, high value, operational association with Maxwell and Epstein. The reviewed evidence does not support assigning the corporation criminal responsibility or treating every passenger flight as trafficking.
Max Hotel Services Corp.
Legal Identity and Administration
Max Hotel Services Corp. was filed as a New York domestic business corporation in 2002. A state derived company profile identifies New York entity number 2773652 and Darren K. Indyke as a principal officer or process contact. Because New York’s public corporation interface does not expose the same complete record structure as Companies House, the official certificate and current status should be retrieved before a separate entity page is finalized.
The surviving Epstein office index at EFTA00299919 lists a Max Hotel Services file containing correspondence, attorney notes, research, memoranda, a certificate of formation, and a federal tax identifier application.
Maxwell’s Use of the Account
EFTA00235917 records Maxwell directing JPMorgan to wire the entire balance of a Max Hotel Services account to UBS. EFTA00270801 shows a company check using 116 East 65th Street, Maxwell’s Manhattan townhouse, as its address. EFTA01279249 contains UBS wire activity in the company’s name.
Those records establish Maxwell’s practical authority over at least part of the banking relationship. They do not establish sole legal ownership.
Epstein Ownership Evidence
Epstein estate records at EFTA00076491 identify Max Hotel Services among entities wholly owned by the decedent. Subpoena response material at EFTA00091271 identifies Epstein and Indyke in the account authority record. This makes Max Hotel Services an important example of why naming alone is unreliable. It functioned around Maxwell and her townhouse, yet the strongest reviewed ownership record places it in Epstein’s estate.
Evidence Assessment
Max Hotel Services should be described as an Epstein owned entity used in Maxwell’s financial and property administration, not simply as Maxwell’s company. It merits Level 3 for repeated operational involvement. Its exact business purpose and any payroll or household functions remain unresolved.
116 East 65th Street LLC
Property Function
116 East 65th Street LLC held or administered the Manhattan townhouse where Maxwell lived for many years. Property research preserved in EFTA01654627 records the company’s acquisition of the townhouse in July 2000 for approximately $4.95 million. The property was transferred to Maxwell through arrangements involving Epstein’s lawyer, according to trial reporting and later property coverage.
Ownership and Account Authority
The company’s formal beneficial ownership has not been consistently stated across every record. EFTA01654625 expressly notes uncertainty over ownership in a bank research document. A later UBS document summarized at EFTA01654829 identifies Maxwell as owner of an account titled to 116 East 65th Street LLC. EFTA01582850 links Epstein as a decision maker in the bank relationship.
Maxwell testified on behalf of the LLC in a New York property case. The transcript at EFTA01306406 discusses the townhouse, her residence, and the company. The property sale produced checks deposited at UBS in 2016, documented in EFTA00026525.
Evidentiary Limits
The townhouse was a major part of Maxwell’s social and financial life. That does not prove that every gathering there related to Epstein’s offenses. The reviewed entity records do not establish that the LLC itself recruited or paid victims. A property holding company can facilitate control of an asset without having independent knowledge or intent.
Evidence Assessment
The company merits Level 3 because it repeatedly held and administered a central Maxwell asset while its finances remained connected to Epstein and his advisers. The separate question of whether particular criminal conduct occurred at the property must be answered through survivor testimony and court findings, not inferred from title records.
ELLMAX LLC
Florida Registration
ELLMAX LLC was a Florida limited liability company. The Florida Division of Corporations record identifies:
- Document number: L10000128558
- Federal tax number: 27 4313665
- Filed: December 15, 2010
- Status: Inactive
- Final event: Voluntary dissolution
- Dissolution filed: January 2, 2018
Annual reports identify Maxwell and Dana Burns or Dana Perry in management roles. The principal address was associated with Maxwell’s Manhattan townhouse for part of the company’s life.
Banking and Credit Activity
JPMorgan due diligence at EFTA01582780 identifies ELLMAX LLC as a Florida company associated with Maxwell. The 2019 grand jury subpoena at EFTA00235805 includes ELLMAX among entities associated with Maxwell’s UBS relationship. Additional records connect the company to corporate credit card activity and Maxwell’s operating expenses.
The company formed after the 1994 through 2004 period described in Maxwell’s conviction. Its existence cannot prove involvement in the charged conduct. It remains relevant to how Maxwell organized finances after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.
Evidence Assessment
ELLMAX LLC merits Level 3 because it was a documented Maxwell controlled operating and banking entity with repeated activity. The available records do not establish that it was charged with money laundering, tax fraud, trafficking, or another crime.
Ellmax Enterprise Limited
Ellmax Enterprise Limited was a separate United Kingdom company and must not be confused with the Florida ELLMAX LLC.
Companies House records show:
- Company number: 08321238
- Incorporated: December 6, 2012
- Company type: Private limited company
- Reported business classification: Nontrading company
- Dissolved: February 18, 2020
Companies House officer records identify Maxwell as both director and secretary from incorporation. The persons with significant control record states that Maxwell held 75 percent or more of the shares.
The registry record confirms control but does not explain why the company was formed, whether it opened bank accounts, or whether it transacted with Epstein. Its Level 2 classification reflects confirmed ownership and identity with no independently established criminal function.
Pot and Kettle LLC
Formation and Banking
Pot and Kettle LLC was a Maxwell associated company used for banking and investments. EFTA00236367 preserves formation material signed by Maxwell. JPMorgan due diligence at EFTA01582936 identifies a business checking relationship. UBS account statements include Pot and Kettle alongside Maxwell’s personal and entity accounts.
The 2019 UBS subpoena at EFTA00235805 lists the entity among the Maxwell related accounts sought by federal investigators. EFTA01277379 is a UBS account record in the Pot and Kettle name.
High Value Transfer and Investments
EFTA00236451 records Maxwell’s instruction to send approximately $1.81 million from Pot and Kettle to an outside account. Other records show the entity funding investments connected to CargoMetrics Technologies, the maritime data company founded by Scott Borgerson. EFTA00238143 and EFTA00238204 document transfers between Maxwell accounts, Pot and Kettle, and CargoMetrics related activity.
Pot and Kettle also appears in a certificate and partnership assignment file concerning a limited partnership interest signed by Maxwell and Prince Andrew. The file index at EFTA00299919 establishes that such records existed in Epstein’s organized business files, but the assignment must be read in full before drawing conclusions about the partnership, consideration, or retained interests.
Evidence Assessment
Pot and Kettle merits Level 3. It was a repeatedly used Maxwell financial vehicle and moved substantial funds. The reviewed record does not prove that its money represented criminal proceeds or that CargoMetrics participated in trafficking.
The TerraMar Project Inc.
Formation and Mission
The TerraMar Project Inc. was a United States nonprofit organization founded by Maxwell in 2012 to promote ocean conservation and public engagement with the high seas. It obtained federal tax exemption in October 2013.
The ProPublica nonprofit profile identifies:
- Employer identification number: 45 5091884
- Tax classification: Section 501(c)(3)
- President: Ghislaine Maxwell
- Later address: Woburn, Massachusetts
- Recorded directors or officers across different years: Ariadne Calvo Platero, Steven Haft, Christine Malina Maxwell, and others named in the returns
The returns report that Maxwell worked substantial hours for the organization without salary. They also show that the organization depended heavily on loans from Maxwell. A 2015 filing reported a $283,429 loan for general expenses. By the end of 2018, reported amounts owed to Maxwell exceeded $560,000.
Activities and Institutional Access
TerraMar sponsored a digital ocean community and advocacy project. Maxwell used its platform to appear at universities, policy meetings, the United Nations, ocean conferences, and other public events. The project was associated with international environmental initiatives and publicly listed institutional supporters or partners.
These appearances are relevant because TerraMar gave Maxwell a renewed public identity after Epstein’s 2008 conviction and after survivor allegations connecting her to Epstein were publicly available. The institutional platform helped her gain access to respectable policy and philanthropic settings.
That access is not proof that every host or partner knew of the allegations, endorsed Maxwell personally, or participated in wrongdoing. Partner lists and event appearances require confirmation from the named institution.
Banking Records
TerraMar maintained bank accounts within Maxwell’s broader financial relationship. Records beginning at EFTA01517899 include JPMorgan statements. EFTA00236034 confirms a UBS receipt in the TerraMar name. The 2019 subpoena at EFTA00235805 sought TerraMar records with other Maxwell entities.
Closure
TerraMar announced on July 12, 2019 that it would cease operations, six days after Epstein’s federal arrest. The timing is established. It does not by itself prove that TerraMar was under criminal investigation, that it closed to destroy evidence, or that it operated as a trafficking front.
Evidence Assessment
TerraMar merits Level 3 because it was Maxwell’s sustained public project, shared banking administration with her other entities, and materially contributed to her reputation and access. No reviewed court finding established that TerraMar itself trafficked minors or knowingly financed abuse.
TerraMar UK
TerraMar UK was legally separate from the United States nonprofit.
Companies House records show:
- Company number: 08661523
- Incorporated: August 22, 2013
- Legal form: Private company limited by guarantee without share capital
- Registered office: Orchard End, Fittleton, Salisbury, Wiltshire
- Dissolved: December 3, 2019
The Charity Commission identifies charity number 1154106. The charity registered on October 4, 2013 and was removed from the register on December 30, 2019 because it no longer operated.
Companies House officer records identify Maxwell, Lucy Mary Clive, and Catherine Mary Emma Vaughan Edwards as directors. The control filing identifies Maxwell as exercising significant influence or control.
TerraMar UK merits Level 3 because Maxwell’s formal control and repeated institutional use are confirmed. The company record does not show that its other directors participated in Maxwell’s crimes. No separate criminal judgment against TerraMar UK has been located.
Angara Trust
Formation and Control
EFTA00016084 contains a UBS trust relationship package identifying Angara Trust as an irrevocable United States trust established on September 15, 2016. Maxwell is named as the grantor. Trustee identities and substantial financial fields are redacted in the reviewed public copy.
Later banking records show assets moving from Maxwell accounts into Angara Trust. A document schedule at EFTA01654829 describes a November 2016 authorization to transfer assets from several Maxwell accounts, including approximately $14.2 million from an account in her name, into Angara Trust.
Account summaries at EFTA01257535 and EFTA01306568 provide later snapshots of trust holdings and activity.
Evidentiary Significance
The trust was formed after Epstein’s 2008 conviction and before Maxwell’s 2020 arrest. It is relevant to asset control, ownership tracing, bail representations, and the movement of funds. The timing alone does not prove an intent to hide criminal proceeds or defeat creditors.
Angara Trust merits Level 3 because Maxwell was the documented grantor and substantial assets moved into it. The trustee, beneficiaries, complete trust instrument, tax treatment, and current status require further confirmation.
Montpelier Trust
Montpelier Trust appears in UBS records with Angara Trust and Maxwell’s investment accounts. A 2018 account summary at EFTA01257657 documents the trust within her financial structure. EFTA01654929 describes a $500,000 transfer from a Maxwell account into Montpelier Trust in a response to investigators.
The released record is less complete than for Angara Trust. It does not yet establish the full trust date, jurisdiction, grantor, trustee, beneficiaries, or dispositive terms. Montpelier therefore should be called a Maxwell associated trust rather than declared solely owned by her.
The trust merits Level 3 for repeated financial association. No reviewed evidence shows that Montpelier Trust was charged with a crime or that every investment connected to it involved Epstein.
Granite Realty LLC and the New Hampshire Property
Purchase of Tucked Away
Granite Realty LLC acquired the secluded estate in Bradford, New Hampshire, known as Tucked Away, in December 2019 for approximately $1.07 million in cash. The company had been formed shortly before the purchase and was registered through Scott Borgerson, according to state records cited in later property reporting.
Purchase records appear in EFTA01268498. Federal agents arrested Maxwell at the property on July 2, 2020. Prosecutors emphasized the anonymous purchase, use of intermediaries, substantial wealth, and Maxwell’s conduct when arguing that she posed a flight risk. Those arguments concern bail and concealment, not a separate conviction of Granite Realty.
Funding
Reuters reporting in 2026 reconstructed transfers through trusts and banks before the purchase. The reporting states that UBS moved nearly $8 million on Maxwell’s behalf in the month before the property purchase and that trust structures supplied the acquisition funds.
The released records should be followed from originating account through trust, escrow, closing statement, deed, and final beneficial ownership before attributing the entire sum to the house. A transfer near the purchase date does not mean all transferred funds became purchase money.
Later Sale
The property was listed for sale in 2025 and sold in 2026 for approximately $2.3 million. The sale does not erase the need to identify who received the proceeds, whether liens or legal fees were paid, and whether Maxwell retained any beneficial interest.
Evidence Assessment
Granite Realty merits Level 3 with heightened concealment concerns. The company provided a layer between the property and the individual occupying it, and the property became Maxwell’s hiding place before arrest. No reviewed judgment separately found the LLC guilty of obstruction, money laundering, or harboring a fugitive.
Jemma Kidd Make-Up Limited
Jemma Kidd Make-Up Limited was an outside United Kingdom cosmetics company, not a Maxwell named entity.
Companies House records show:
- Company number: 05340072
- Incorporated: January 24, 2005
- Business: Retail sale of cosmetics and toiletries
- Dissolved: January 25, 2020
Officer records show that Maxwell was appointed as a director on May 18, 2005. Her filed correspondence address was an Epstein associated business address in St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands.
The filing establishes a formal directorship and an address overlap. It does not establish that Maxwell controlled the company, that Epstein owned it, or that the cosmetics business participated in criminal conduct. This entity merits Level 2, documented contact.
Other Names and Entities Requiring Careful Classification
Temporary Cookware LLC
Temporary Cookware LLC appears in investment records connected to CargoMetrics and in communications involving Scott Borgerson. EFTA00239492 and EFTA00239495 concern redemption instructions for a Temporary Cookware investment.
An internal schedule at EFTA00065551 places Temporary Cookware with Maxwell associated investments. The evidence does not yet establish whether Maxwell, Borgerson, Epstein, a trust, or another investor was the legal owner. It should remain a related vehicle pending formation and beneficial ownership records.
Shmitka Air Inc. and Freedom Air International Inc.
These names appear in an aviation succession connected to Air Ghislaine and the same bank account. Their later officers and beneficial ownership require separate entity pages. They should not automatically be counted as Maxwell companies merely because Air Ghislaine preceded them.
116A East 65th Street Address Variations
Some records use 116 East 65th Street while others use 116A East 65th Street. The variation may reflect an address convention, account entry, or clerical issue. It is not evidence of a second property without a separate deed or registry record.
Jennifer Turner and Other Aliases
Names used on credit cards, property paperwork, travel, or communications are identifiers, not entities. They belong in an alias analysis and should not be inserted into an entity list as companies. Editors must not assume that every name appearing on an ELLMAX card was a separate real person.
Forums LLC and Other Epstein Entities
Bank due diligence sometimes groups Maxwell with Forums LLC, Epstein entities, or accounts managed by Indyke. Coappearance within a bank relationship does not prove Maxwell owned those entities. Entities wholly owned by Epstein should remain on Epstein’s business network page even when they paid Maxwell expenses or serviced a property she used.
Banking Structure
JPMorgan Chase
Maxwell and several entities maintained relationships at JPMorgan. Bank due diligence connected her personal relationship with Max Foundation, Air Ghislaine, Pot and Kettle, 116 East 65th Street LLC, TerraMar, Max Hotel Services, and other related accounts. Some records identify Epstein as a decision maker or related person.
In early 2014, Maxwell moved personal and entity assets from JPMorgan to UBS. EFTA00016036 describes the transition and associated accounts.
UBS
UBS opened personal and business accounts for Maxwell in 2014. The bank handled assets held personally and through TerraMar, ELLMAX, Pot and Kettle, Max Foundation, Max Hotel Services, 116 East 65th Street LLC, Angara Trust, Montpelier Trust, and other structures.
Reuters’ 2026 investigation reported that UBS managed as much as $19 million for Maxwell and provided account, wire, investment, and credit services through the period before her arrest. Reuters found no public explanation for when or whether the bank closed every account.
Federal Subpoena
On August 16, 2019, UBS received a federal grand jury subpoena concerning Maxwell and associated entities. EFTA00235805 is the key released subpoena record. It sought records for Maxwell and entities including ELLMAX LLC, Pot and Kettle LLC, Max Foundation, TerraMar Project Inc., and Max Hotel Services Corp.
The subpoena establishes investigative interest and the scope of requested records. It does not establish that every listed entity committed a crime.
Financial Relationship With Jeffrey Epstein
Trial evidence showed that Epstein transferred more than $30 million to Maxwell across several large transactions in 1999, 2002, and 2007. Some of the funds then entered entity accounts or asset purchases, including Air Ghislaine and the helicopter transaction.
The corporate records also show:
- Epstein identified as a decision maker for Max Foundation.
- Epstein or his advisers connected to Max Hotel Services and 116 East 65th Street LLC.
- Epstein aviation staff acting for Air Ghislaine.
- Maxwell entities organized within files maintained by Epstein’s lawyers, accountants, and office staff.
- Entity accounts migrating together between major banks.
These facts establish a blended financial administration extending beyond a personal relationship. They do not answer whether each payment was a gift, compensation, property funding, reimbursement, loan, investment, or another form of transfer. The legal and tax characterization of the largest payments remains an important open question.
Entity Evidence in Maxwell’s Criminal Case
The prosecution used financial evidence to show the closeness and economic interdependence of Maxwell and Epstein. Bank witness Patrick McHugh testified about large transfers and the Air Ghislaine helicopter purchase. The entity records helped rebut any portrayal of the relationship as distant or incidental.
Maxwell’s convictions, however, rested on testimony and evidence concerning recruitment, grooming, transportation, abuse, and conspiracy. The jury was not asked to convict TerraMar, ELLMAX, Max Foundation, or the other entities as defendants.
This distinction protects accuracy:
- Adjudicated: Maxwell was convicted of five federal offenses in December 2021 and sentenced in June 2022.
- Documented: The entity network held assets, moved funds, supplied property and aviation structures, and connected her finances to Epstein.
- Not adjudicated: That every entity transaction was part of the criminal conspiracy.

| Bank due diligence | Max Foundation, Pot and Kettle, ELLMAX, Air Ghislaine, 116 East 65th Street, Max Hotel Services | High for bank recognized control and linked relationships | Bank labels can reflect operational authority rather than legal ownership |
| Bank statements and wires | Most core financial entities | High for dated movement of funds | Movement does not prove purpose or legality |
| Trust documents | Angara and Montpelier | High where signed forms survive | Key parties and terms remain redacted or incomplete |
| FAA records | Air Ghislaine and successor aviation entities | High for registration and aircraft identity | Registration does not establish use on a particular trip |
| Property records | 116 East 65th Street and Granite Realty | High for title, purchase, sale, and recorded parties | Nominees and trusts may separate title from beneficial ownership |
| Trial evidence | Air Ghislaine and Epstein to Maxwell transfers | High for evidence admitted and presented to the jury | Not every transaction produced a separate jury finding |

What the Evidence Establishes
- Maxwell created, directed, controlled, or used multiple legal entities and trusts.
- Her financial affairs were spread across personal accounts, companies, charities, property vehicles, and trusts.
- Several entities moved together from JPMorgan to UBS in 2014.
- Epstein supplied substantial funds to Maxwell and was recognized as a decision maker or related person in some entity records.
- Air Ghislaine participated in a multimillion dollar helicopter purchase funded through Epstein to Maxwell transfers.
- Max Foundation was a genuine tax filing private foundation with Maxwell as trustee.
- TerraMar had separate United States and United Kingdom legal identities and gave Maxwell a public environmental platform.
- Pot and Kettle and ELLMAX were active Maxwell financial vehicles.
- Angara Trust received substantial assets from Maxwell accounts.
- 116 East 65th Street LLC held or administered Maxwell’s townhouse.
- Granite Realty acquired the property where Maxwell was arrested.
- Maxwell was a formal director of Jemma Kidd Make-Up Limited.
- Federal investigators subpoenaed UBS for Maxwell and several associated entities in August 2019.
What the Evidence Does Not Establish
- It does not establish that every entity was legally owned by Maxwell.
- It does not establish that every company, charity, trust, director, trustee, employee, bank officer, or business partner knew of Maxwell’s crimes.
- It does not establish that TerraMar recruited victims or functioned as a trafficking organization.
- It does not establish that charitable grants were payments for silence, access, or concealment.
- It does not establish that every Epstein payment to Maxwell was criminal proceeds.
- It does not establish that every aircraft held by Air Ghislaine transported victims.
- It does not establish that ELLMAX or Pot and Kettle laundered money.
- It does not establish that Angara or Montpelier Trust was fraudulent or unlawful.
- It does not establish that Granite Realty was separately convicted of obstruction or harboring.
- It does not establish that Max Hotel Services was owned by Maxwell. The reviewed estate evidence identifies Epstein ownership.
- It does not establish that Jemma Kidd Make-Up Limited participated in Epstein’s crimes.
- It does not establish that a shared address makes two companies the same legal entity.
Survivor Impact and Institutional Significance
The entity network matters because money, property, transportation, staff, and social legitimacy can make exploitation easier to sustain and harder to expose. Maxwell’s conviction established that she personally assisted and participated in Epstein’s abuse of minors. Entities that funded her lifestyle, held homes, moved investments, or supported travel formed part of the environment in which she operated.
The clearest survivor centered questions are not whether an LLC had a sinister sounding name. They are whether money paid for recruitment, whether property was used for grooming or abuse, whether aircraft transported victims, whether staff saw warning signs, whether banks identified concerning transactions, and whether institutions responded when credible allegations became public.
Entity research should never publish survivor addresses, medical information, account numbers, or unnecessary personal detail. Financial transparency does not require exposing victims.
EpsteinWiki Involvement Scale Assessment
The EpsteinWiki scale is:
- Level 0: No verified connection
- Level 1: Uncorroborated mention
- Level 2: Documented contact
- Level 3: Repeated association
- Level 4: Material facilitation
- Level 5: Criminal responsibility established
This umbrella page does not receive one score because it is not a legal entity. The core financial and property entities generally fit Level 3. They show repeated association, account activity, assets, or institutional functions. Jemma Kidd Make-Up Limited and Ellmax Enterprise Limited fit Level 2 where the strongest evidence establishes only a directorship or corporate control without a verified Epstein operational role.
Maxwell herself is Level 5 because criminal responsibility was established by a jury and sentence. That personal conviction cannot be transferred automatically to a company. None of the listed entities should receive Level 5 without a separate criminal finding.
Level 4 should be reserved for an entity when records establish that it materially facilitated abuse, recruitment, transportation for illegal sexual activity, concealment of crimes, payments to victims or recruiters, or evasion of justice. Granite Realty raises serious concealment concerns, but the reviewed public record has not produced a separate adjudication against the LLC.
Connection is not culpability. Classify each entity by the sources.

Reliability and Limitations
This article prioritizes official registries, tax returns, court records, bank source documents, and FAA filings. Important limitations remain:
- Some bank records use internal labels such as decision maker, account owner, related person, or contact. Those terms are not interchangeable.
- Trust documents are partly redacted.
- Several incorporation records have not been matched to complete membership ledgers or stock registers.
- Account numbers and private identifiers are intentionally omitted.
- Entity names recur with punctuation and spacing differences.
- The United States TerraMar closure statement did not itself complete every state and federal dissolution step.
- Some records were created for litigation, due diligence, subpoenas, or estate administration and may describe ownership at only one point in time.
- The Maxwell conviction concerns her personal criminal conduct. It does not create automatic institutional guilt.
- Research reports on Epstein Data and sleuth publications are discovery aids. Their conclusions must be checked against direct EFTA pages.
Verification status: Substantially verified, with beneficial ownership and trust details incomplete for several entities.
Fact Check
| Claim | Assessment | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| All Maxwell entities were shell companies | False or overly broad | Some were charities, property holders, aircraft companies, trusts, or an outside cosmetics business |
| Maxwell controlled Max Foundation | Supported | IRS returns list her as trustee and bank records link her to its accounts |
| Epstein had a role in Max Foundation | Supported with precision | JPMorgan identified him as a decision maker; that is not identical to legal ownership |
| Max Hotel Services was Maxwell’s company | Misleading | Maxwell used its account, but Epstein estate records identify it as wholly owned by Epstein |
| Air Ghislaine bought a helicopter using funds transferred from Epstein | Supported | Trial bank evidence and later government analysis document the transfer chain |
| Every Air Ghislaine flight carried victims | Unsupported | Registration and banking records do not establish each flight’s purpose or passengers |
| TerraMar was proven to be a trafficking front | Unsupported | No reviewed court or agency finding reached that conclusion |
| TerraMar closed after Epstein’s 2019 arrest | Supported | It announced closure six days after the arrest |
| ELLMAX LLC and Ellmax Enterprise Limited were the same company | False | They were separate Florida and United Kingdom entities |
| Maxwell owned at least 75 percent of Ellmax Enterprise Limited | Supported | The Companies House control filing reports that shareholding threshold |
| Maxwell had significant control over TerraMar UK | Supported | Companies House identifies her as a person with significant influence or control |
| Maxwell controlled Jemma Kidd Make-Up Limited | Not established | She was a director, but the reviewed record does not establish controlling ownership |
| Angara Trust was Maxwell’s trust | Supported with precision | The trust package names her as grantor; trustee and beneficiary details remain redacted |
| Granite Realty hid Maxwell from law enforcement | Partly supported but legally unadjudicated | The LLC obscured the purchaser’s public identity and held the property where she was found, but it was not separately convicted |
| A subpoena proves all named entities committed crimes | False | A subpoena is an investigative demand, not a finding of guilt |
