On February 10, 2026, model scout Daniel Siad published an approximately eight minute video through the X account @thilely.
The accompanying post stated:
“Jeffrey Epstein latest News as Victim I am happy to share with you all bout my story in the fashion industry.”
The post is preserved through the Wayback Machine. Archived metadata identifies the author account as @thilely and the attached video as a single 485 second recording.
The man appearing in the video was subsequently identified as Daniel Siad. Siad was a model scout who maintained extensive communications with Jeffrey Epstein, worked with or on behalf of figures in the international modeling industry, and was described by Jean Luc Brunel as a scout or recruiter of girls or women for Epstein.
Siad used the video to present himself as a professional model scout whose trust had been abused by Epstein. He denied knowingly introducing Epstein to anyone who was subsequently abused and rejected allegations that he had knowingly participated in trafficking.
Those denials must be evaluated against documentary evidence showing that Siad communicated with Epstein for approximately a decade, discussed teenage models and young women, transmitted photographs and profiles, arranged meetings, coordinated travel, requested reimbursement, received payments, and continued working with Epstein long after Epstein’s 2008 sex offense conviction.
Identity of the Speaker
The speaker is Daniel Amar Siad, also identified in records as Daniel Siad, Amar Siad, and Siad Amar.
Siad described himself publicly as French born, of Algerian origin, and a Swedish citizen. Later reporting also described him as holding French citizenship.
He worked as a model scout and recruiter. His professional relationships reportedly included:
| Person or organization | Reported relationship |
|---|---|
| Jeffrey Epstein | Recipient of model profiles, photographs, travel updates, and scouting information from Siad |
| Jean Luc Brunel | Modeling agent who reportedly paid Siad commissions and described him as a scout or recruiter |
| MC2 Model Management | Brunel’s modeling company, financially supported by Epstein |
| Karin Models | Modeling agency referenced in Siad’s scouting correspondence |
| Gérald Marie | Former Elite Model Management executive for whom Siad reportedly performed scouting work |
| FashionHDTV | Name associated with Siad’s email, Skype, or online activity |
| World Fashion Channel | Siad was reported to have worked as a project manager or industry contact |
The archived account used the handle @thilely. At the time of capture, the profile displayed the name “@European for Donald J Trump,” listed Paris as its location, and used a profile description composed largely of national flags.
Separate archived posts and reporting connected the account to Siad. He referred to himself as Daniel in posts, described himself as a former model agent, and used the account to respond publicly to the Epstein Files disclosures.
The Archived Post
The February 10 post contains three components:
- A short written introduction naming Jeffrey Epstein.
- Siad’s description of himself as a victim discussing his experience in the fashion industry.
- An attached eight minute video showing Siad speaking directly to the camera.
The archived metadata classifies the post under subjects that include Jeffrey Epstein, financial services, business, and the fashion industry.
The post was geotagged to Neuilly sur Seine, France. The account profile listed Paris, France.
These location fields show where the post or account was associated when archived. They do not independently prove that the video was recorded at a particular address.
What Siad Claimed in the Video
Siad presented his relationship with Epstein as professional.
His account centered on several assertions:
- He worked in the fashion industry as a model scout.
- He believed Epstein was involved in legitimate model casting.
- He understood the meetings he arranged to be professional.
- He claimed that Epstein abused his trust.
- He said he did not knowingly introduce an abused minor or adult to Epstein.
- He denied selling or trafficking human beings.
- He expressed sympathy for models abused by Epstein and Brunel.
- He said he was prepared to provide his account to authorities.
- He portrayed himself as another person deceived by Epstein’s public and professional presentation.
Siad later gave similar statements to French television and journalists.
He said that Epstein used his Paris residence for meetings and purported model castings connected to Victoria’s Secret and MC2 Model Management.
Siad claimed that the castings were brief and that he left with the models after the meetings.
He maintained that his dealings with the women he scouted were professional and that he had not been positioned to know Epstein was dangerous.
Why the Video Matters
The video is significant because it is a first person statement from Siad after the public release of records documenting his extensive communications with Epstein.
It records the defense Siad offered before he was formally questioned by French investigators and before his death in July 2026.
The video can be used to compare Siad’s public claims with:
- His emails to Epstein
- His Skype communications
- His discussions of ages
- Photographs and portfolios he sent
- Travel plans
- Expense requests
- Wire transfers
- References to Brunel and MC2
- Survivor allegations
- Statements attributed to Brunel
- French investigative records
The video does not establish that Siad’s account was true. It establishes what he publicly claimed after his name became a focus of Epstein Files reporting.
Documentary Relationship With Jeffrey Epstein
Siad’s relationship with Epstein was not based on a single introduction or isolated email.
The EFTA corpus contains more than 2,000 references associated with Daniel or Amar Siad. Some are duplicate copies, repeated email chains, extracted Skype records, financial documents, or references reproduced across different evidence productions.
The surviving correspondence documents regular contact from at least 2009 through the final years of Epstein’s life.
The communications include:
| Activity | Documentary examples |
|---|---|
| Sending model photographs | EFTA02439449 |
| Discussing a 17 year old Slovakian model | EFTA00774129 |
| Planning scouting in Eastern European villages | EFTA00774873 |
| Discussing travel costs and meetings with parents | EFTA00774990 |
| Proposing placement with Brunel in Miami | EFTA02432663 |
| Discussing multiple women brought for Epstein | EFTA01913971 |
| Discussing a 15 year old French girl | EFTA00993803 |
| Stating a preference for inexperienced aspiring models | EFTA00633927 |
| Discussing work in Thailand, Vietnam, and Dubai | EFTA02571027 |
| Discussing commissions involving two women | EFTA01986452 |
| Recording a $25,000 five year loan | EFTA02485862 |
| Recording additional financial transfers | EFTA01366093 and EFTA01411409 |
| Documenting an anti money laundering review | EFTA01424341 |
The volume and duration of these records are difficult to reconcile with any suggestion that Siad’s connection to Epstein was brief or incidental.
The 2009 Eastern European Scouting Trip
In May 2009, Siad discussed traveling through Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary to scout in small villages.
The email appears in EFTA00774873, with duplicate versions elsewhere in the production.
Siad told Epstein that he was attempting to obtain payment for approximately two months of scouting before the summer vacation period.
Epstein responded by asking about the cost.
In EFTA00774990, Siad described traveling by train, bus, and taxi. He said that he sometimes needed to invite parents to lunch or coffee and that some girls were already waiting for him.
This reference to parents is significant. It indicates that at least some prospective models were young enough for parental involvement to be part of the recruitment process.
The messages document Epstein’s direct interest in the proposed scouting trip and its expense.
The 17 Year Old Slovakian Model
In EFTA00774129, Siad sent Epstein information and photographs concerning a girl from Slovakia whom he identified as 17 years old.
The email stated that Siad planned to travel to Bratislava and included image attachments.
This evidence directly contradicts any broad suggestion that Siad never discussed minors with Epstein.
The document does not, standing alone, establish that the 17 year old met Epstein or was abused. It establishes that Siad identified a minor model to Epstein and supplied photographs or related portfolio material.
The 15 Year Old French Girl
A July 2014 email preserved in EFTA00993803 referred to a French girl who was 15.
Siad wrote that her parents had checked him out and were happy for their daughter to begin modeling.
The same email discussed scouting in Sweden and Gotland, where young women would gather for a week of parties.
The document matters because it shows Siad discussing a 15 year old with Epstein during the period when Siad later claimed his work was purely professional.
Professional modeling can involve minors. The evidentiary question is why Epstein, a convicted sex offender with no clearly documented formal role in a modeling agency at that time, was receiving the information.
The 2014 Group of Women
A July 2014 email chain appears in EFTA01913971, EFTA01914437, EFTA00657532, and multiple duplicate productions.
Siad described arranging women from several countries, including:
- Two women from Sweden
- A woman from Slovakia
- Two women from France
- A Russian woman
- A Chinese woman
The messages discussed airline tickets, hotels, introductions, scheduling, and Epstein’s failure to appear for a planned meeting.
Siad told Epstein that he had spent money bringing the women together. Epstein responded that Siad would be reimbursed.
The correspondence demonstrates that Siad’s role extended beyond forwarding publicly available model portfolios. He coordinated travel, lodging, scheduling, and in person access.
“There Are Millions of Them Out There”
In the same 2014 correspondence, Siad told Epstein that he had lost credibility with some of the women after Epstein failed to attend.
He nevertheless assured Epstein that there were “millions of them out there.”
That language appears in EFTA01917017, EFTA01914529, EFTA01913878, and duplicate copies of the email chain.
The phrase is important because it shows how Siad discussed replaceability. When one group became frustrated or unavailable, other women could be found.
This does not by itself prove criminal trafficking. It documents a continuing procurement structure in which young women were located, evaluated, transported, and presented to Epstein.
Preference for Inexperienced Models
In EFTA00633927, Epstein asked Siad whether a Swedish woman was in New York.
Siad responded that he would not take someone from an agency and that women who had never modeled before were his favorites.
He thanked Epstein for giving him the opportunity.
The preference for inexperienced aspiring models is significant because people without established representation may have fewer professional protections, less industry knowledge, and greater dependence on whoever promises them access.
The email should be examined alongside survivor accounts describing modeling opportunities as a method of recruitment and grooming.
Placement With Jean Luc Brunel and MC2
In EFTA02432663, Siad wrote to Epstein from Koh Samui, Thailand, about a Slovak model.
Siad said she might travel to the United States and suggested he could place her with Jean Luc Brunel in Miami because she was already connected to another agency in New York.
This email directly connects:
- Siad’s international scouting
- Epstein’s interest in individual models
- Brunel
- Miami
- MC2’s modeling infrastructure
- Potential travel to the United States
Epstein financially supported Brunel’s establishment of MC2 Model Management.
An archived MC2 scouting page preserved in EFTA01728258 stated that its scouting division accepted prospective models between the ages of 13 and 20.
A legitimate modeling agency may represent minors. However, MC2’s documented relationship with Epstein and the survivor allegations involving Brunel make the age range and recruitment infrastructure highly relevant.
Brunel’s Description of Siad
One of the most important law enforcement references appears in EFTA00017956.
The document records attorney Stan Pottinger reporting that Jean Luc Brunel had described Daniel Siad as a scout or recruiter of girls or women for Epstein.
This wording was attributed to Brunel and relayed by Pottinger. It should not be misrepresented as an independent factual finding by the FBI.
Even with that limitation, the record is significant because it shows how another member of the modeling network described Siad’s function.
The FBI received the information before Epstein’s July 2019 arrest.
Financial Relationship
The evidence documents repeated financial transfers involving Siad.
Records include transfers to accounts associated with Amar Siad at Handelsbanken in Stockholm. Examples include EFTA01366093 and EFTA01411409.
Other records document a $25,000 payment to an account at Emirates NBD in Dubai.
In EFTA01415113, Richard Kahn reportedly characterized the transfer as a loan to a business associate.
The underlying bank details and Epstein’s instruction describing a five year loan appear in EFTA02485862.
A later transfer involving Siad reportedly triggered a Deutsche Bank anti money laundering review, documented in EFTA01424341.
Payments do not prove that the money funded criminal activity. They do establish that Epstein’s relationship with Siad included a financial component rather than casual conversation alone.
Geographic Reach
Siad’s communications describe scouting or professional activity across a wide geographic area.
| Country or location | Documented context |
|---|---|
| France | Paris meetings, castings, models, and Epstein’s Avenue Foch residence |
| Sweden | Scouting, travel, and recruitment of Swedish women |
| Slovakia | Recruitment, a 17 year old model, and village scouting |
| Czech Republic | Planned village scouting |
| Poland | Planned scouting and girls waiting to meet Siad |
| Hungary | Planned scouting |
| Estonia | Scouting travel |
| Lithuania | Scouting travel |
| Finland | Travel route and ferry transportation |
| Spain | Barcelona communications and meetings |
| Morocco | Reports of prospective women |
| Thailand | Model scouting and proposed placement through Brunel |
| Vietnam | Travel connected to business development |
| Dubai | Banking, business contacts, and Siad’s base of operations |
| South Africa | Scouting and discussions about the availability of prospective models |
| Cuba | Later reported scouting and contacts |
| United States | Proposed placements, travel, and meetings in New York or Miami |
The geographic scope supports treating Siad as part of a transnational recruitment network rather than a locally based modeling contact.
Epstein’s Direct Role in Reviewing Women
The correspondence shows Epstein directly reviewing prospective models.
His replies included questions about:
- Age
- Location
- Availability
- Travel
- Physical appearance
- Whether a woman was interesting
- Whether someone could come to Paris or New York
- Whether Siad had found anyone new
In EFTA01622004, Siad transmitted information and an image concerning a woman. Epstein responded that she was too old.
Other communications show Epstein requesting full body photographs and criticizing women’s physical features.
This level of involvement is difficult to explain solely as passive support for a legitimate modeling business, particularly after Epstein’s 2008 conviction and when he held no publicly established position as an agency casting director.
Epstein’s Conviction Was Public Knowledge
Epstein pleaded guilty in Florida in 2008 to offenses involving prostitution and a minor.
His conviction and sex offender status were public before much of Siad’s documented correspondence.
Siad continued communicating with Epstein for years after the conviction.
This timeline creates a significant question for Siad’s claim that he had no reason to know Epstein was dangerous.
The video does not adequately resolve:
- When Siad learned about the conviction
- What Epstein told him about the case
- Whether Siad independently checked Epstein’s background
- Why he continued sending information about teenagers
- Why Epstein was treated as a decision maker in model selection
- Why Siad coordinated private access to women for Epstein
- Why the relationship continued into 2018 and 2019
Ebba Karlsson’s Allegations
Former Swedish model Ebba P. Karlsson publicly accused Siad of rape.
Karlsson alleged that Siad scouted her in Stockholm in 1990, when she was 20, brought her to France, and raped her at a villa in Cannes.
She said Siad used a different name at the time. Karlsson reported that she recognized him decades later after photographs connected to the Epstein Files became public.
Karlsson alleged that Siad threatened to kill her and claimed to have connections with senior French police officials.
In February 2026, she submitted criminal allegations in Paris concerning rape and human trafficking.
Siad denied knowing Karlsson and denied her allegations. His lawyer argued that the alleged events occurred approximately 36 years earlier and were outside the applicable limitation period.
Karlsson said she never met Epstein. Her allegation concerns Siad personally and should not be inaccurately presented as an allegation that Epstein abused her.
Allegations From a French Woman
A French woman identified publicly under the pseudonym Malika also made allegations involving Siad.
She reportedly told French police that Siad approached her in Paris in 2013, when she was 23, and suggested that she could become a model.
According to her account, Siad offered to introduce her to a powerful American financier.
She alleged that Siad introduced her to Epstein at his Paris residence, where Epstein employed her as a masseuse. She further alleged that Siad later encouraged her to recruit additional women for Epstein.
Siad’s lawyer denied that Siad made the introduction.
The allegation was not adjudicated before Siad’s death.
Other Complaints and French Investigation
By July 2026, French reporting stated that five women had submitted allegations involving Siad.
French prosecutors were examining possible rape, trafficking, and related offenses. Siad was reportedly under surveillance or investigative scrutiny but had not been arrested or formally charged.
His lawyer maintained that authorities had not found sufficient evidence to arrest him.
The absence of a charge does not establish innocence. It also means Siad died without a trial or judicial determination of the allegations.
French investigators later expanded their review of people identified in the Epstein Files, including potential recruiters associated with the French modeling industry.
Siad’s Public Defense Compared With the Records
| Siad’s public position | Documentary or testimonial issue |
|---|---|
| His work was purely professional | Emails show travel, hotels, reimbursements, private meetings, and direct access to Epstein |
| He believed Epstein conducted legitimate casting | Epstein had no clearly documented formal casting role and was already a convicted sex offender |
| He never knowingly introduced someone who was abused | A French woman alleged Siad introduced her to Epstein before she entered a massage relationship with him |
| He did not involve minors in abuse | Records show Siad sending Epstein information about girls identified as 15 and 17 |
| Epstein abused Siad’s trust | The relationship continued for approximately a decade and involved repeated payments |
| Siad had nothing to reproach himself for | Emails document his participation in identifying, evaluating, transporting, and presenting young women |
| He was prepared to face justice | Siad died before authorities completed their investigation or questioned him formally |
The evidence does not permit every disputed allegation to be treated as proven.
It does establish that Siad’s role was more extensive than an isolated or accidental encounter with Epstein.
Siad’s Use of the Word “Victim”
The written introduction to the archived post described Siad as a victim.
The wording is ambiguous. It may refer to Siad viewing himself as a victim of Epstein’s deception, a victim of the fashion industry, or a victim of public accusations.
The post does not explain the term with legal precision.
That self characterization should not displace the accounts of people who alleged sexual violence, trafficking, threats, or exploitation.
Siad could claim that Epstein deceived him while still being responsible for his own conduct. Those propositions are not mutually exclusive.
The relevant investigative question is not simply whether Epstein lied to Siad. It is whether Siad ignored warning signs, knowingly facilitated access, committed abuse himself, or participated in conduct that enabled Epstein’s exploitation.
Siad’s Death
Daniel Siad was found dead at his home in Colombes, near Paris, on July 20, 2026. He was 69.
His body was reportedly discovered in the kitchen. Emergency efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
The Nanterre prosecutor’s office opened an investigation into the circumstances of the death.
An autopsy performed on July 23 found no evidence of recent violence connected to his death. It did not immediately establish a definitive cause.
The examination reportedly found evidence of prior health problems, including a previous heart attack. Toxicology and pathology testing were ordered.
Siad’s lawyer said he appeared to have suffered a heart attack. That was the lawyer’s account rather than the initial definitive finding of the medical examination.
No credible public evidence has established that Siad was killed.
Effect of Siad’s Death on the Investigation
Siad died before he could be tried or formally cleared.
His death ended the possibility of a criminal prosecution against him personally under French law.
It also prevented investigators and survivors from obtaining:
- A formal interrogation
- Cross examination
- A complete account of his relationship with Epstein
- Identification of every model he discussed
- Explanations for the payments he received
- Details of his work for Brunel
- Identification of agency employees who knew about the arrangements
- Information about scouting trips
- Access to his recollection of Epstein’s Paris operation
- A judicial verdict on the allegations against him
Documents, devices, financial records, witnesses, and third party evidence may still be investigated even though Siad cannot be prosecuted.
His death does not require authorities to stop examining the wider network.
Relationship to Jean Luc Brunel
Siad’s documented activity overlaps substantially with Jean Luc Brunel’s modeling network.
Brunel operated Karin Models and later established MC2 Model Management with financial support from Epstein.
Survivors accused Brunel of obtaining girls and young women for Epstein through promises of modeling work.
French authorities arrested Brunel in December 2020. He was investigated for rape of minors and sexual harassment. Brunel denied wrongdoing.
Brunel was found dead in a Paris jail in February 2022 before trial.
Both Brunel and Siad died before the allegations against them could be resolved through completed criminal proceedings.
Their deaths increase the importance of preserving emails, corporate records, agency files, travel records, payments, photographs, and survivor accounts.
Relationship to the Modeling Recruitment Pipeline
The Siad evidence illustrates how Epstein’s network could intersect with legitimate modeling structures.
The recurring pattern included:
- Identifying aspiring models in another country.
- Obtaining photographs and measurements.
- Recording age, nationality, appearance, and personality.
- Discussing the candidate with Epstein.
- Arranging travel or accommodation.
- Introducing the candidate to Epstein privately.
- Describing the meeting as a casting, business opportunity, assistant position, or modeling introduction.
- Referring the candidate to an agency associated with Brunel.
- Seeking reimbursement or commission.
Not every model mentioned in these records was abused.
The investigative concern is that a legitimate industry framework could provide access to young people while obscuring Epstein’s personal interest and criminal history.
Evidence and Source Limitations
The archived post proves that the @thilely account published the statement and attached video.
It does not independently prove every biographical claim associated with the account.
Siad’s video contains his version of events. It is not sworn testimony.
The EFTA corpus includes duplicate records. A count of references is not the same as a count of unique communications.
An email discussing a minor does not prove that the minor met Epstein or experienced abuse.
A payment does not, by itself, prove the purpose was illegal.
Survivor allegations against Siad were not resolved at trial.
Siad denied wrongdoing.
The French investigation had not produced a conviction when Siad died.
Initial statements about a possible heart attack should not be treated as a final forensic determination unless confirmed by the completed medical investigation.

What the Archived Video Establishes
The archived record establishes that the @thilely account published an Epstein related video on February 10, 2026.
It establishes that the speaker publicly described himself as a victim.
It establishes that Siad presented his experience through the framework of the fashion industry.
It establishes that he publicly denied knowingly supplying Epstein with anyone who was abused.
It establishes his defense before his death.
It provides a preserved visual and audio record that can be compared with his emails, payments, media statements, and the allegations against him.
What the Archived Video Does Not Establish
The video does not prove that Siad’s relationship with Epstein was purely professional.
It does not explain every communication in the EFTA corpus.
It does not explain why Epstein reviewed teenage models.
It does not explain why Siad continued working with Epstein after the 2008 conviction.
It does not disprove Karlsson’s allegations.
It does not disprove the allegations made by Malika or other women.
It does not establish that every meeting ended after ten minutes.
It does not establish that no woman introduced by Siad was abused.
It does not establish that Siad lacked knowledge of Epstein’s conduct.
It does not constitute sworn testimony.
It does not substitute for a completed criminal investigation.
Investigative Significance
The video captures the public defense of a man whose communications provide a detailed view into Epstein’s international access to aspiring models.
Siad’s emails document recruitment as a practical operation. They show how prospective models were located, categorized, photographed, moved, housed, and placed in front of Epstein.
His communications also demonstrate that Epstein was not merely introduced to adult social companions by chance. Epstein asked for new women, reviewed photographs, asked about ages, rejected candidates, approved expenses, and communicated directly with the scout arranging access.
Siad’s self description as a victim of deception must be considered alongside the duration of the relationship and the warning created by Epstein’s public conviction.
The evidence also shows why investigators must examine the modeling industry as an organizational structure. Agencies, scouts, photographers, apartments, visas, travel arrangements, castings, and promises of professional advancement can create legitimate opportunities. The same structures can also be exploited to reach inexperienced or economically vulnerable young people.
