Known window August 7 and 8, 1999
Primary evidence EFTA02846460
Verification requirement Check original handwritten log and aircraft record

Two adjoining August 1999 records show the name Dave Killary on trips between Teterboro and Palm Beach. They are a concrete travel trace, not an explanation of why he was aboard.

Key Takeaways

  • Two August 1999 index entries attribute the name Dave Killary to the route sequence.
  • The attached EFTA source does not independently authenticate every name supplied by derivative indexes.
  • A provenance label reading primary cannot replace an original source check.

What the Documents Reveal

On August 7, 1999, the derived manifest for a Teterboro to Palm Beach leg lists Killary along with Epstein, Maxwell, Emmy Tayler and Clare Hazell Iveagh. The next day’s Palm Beach to Teterboro record also lists Killary, Epstein and Tayler. Those adjacent journeys are a useful continuity check, but they do not demonstrate who interacted with whom or whether every person completed every leg.

The published index describes the aircraft as N908JE, but the precise airframe description should be checked against the primary log. Flight compilations have historically mixed aircraft codes, and a researcher should not let a normalized model label silently override the handwritten record.

The Primary Flight Log and Its Limits

EFTA02846460 is the Epstein aviation log exhibit introduced in the federal prosecution of Ghislaine Maxwell. It is the original documentary anchor for this passenger research. A log can document a date, route, registered aircraft and people recorded by its keeper. It does not by itself prove that everyone listed boarded, met, or shared the same purpose. Any initials or uncertain handwriting should remain visibly qualified until another source identifies the traveler.

Researchers should distinguish the first historical log entry from its later reproduction as a spreadsheet, court exhibit, OCR transcription or online index. These can all refer to one journey. Counting each repetition as independent confirmation creates a false sense of corroboration.

Retrieved Flight Index Entries

Epstein Data’s flight finding aid returned 2 matching entries for this recorded spelling on October 14, 2026. The following table includes every returned entry in that search. It is a scoped search inventory, not a claim that every journey in the person’s life or every released record has been found.

The source column identifies records attached to the indexed flight. It does not assert that every attached record names this traveler. Some original sources preserve only a route, initials or redacted passengers, while a derivative compiler supplies a full name. Those distinctions must remain visible. Multiple source labels can refer to copies or transcriptions of one underlying record.

Indexed date Airport codes Source provenance and verification limit
1999-08-07 TEB to PBI EFTA02796838 (source listed by index)
1999-08-08 PBI to TEB Derivative transcription only; original row requires separate verification

Where the Name Attribution Comes From

The civil flight summary exhibit is attached by the flight index to the August 7 route. Its indexed passenger field contains Epstein and Maxwell. The separate Carstensen and EpsteinExposed transcriptions supply the name Dave Killary. An EFTA citation attached to the route does not independently authenticate every passenger name supplied by another compiler.

For August 8, the index’s record labeled primary points to a Carstensen page rather than an EFTA document. The source label must not override the source itself. Both matching legs are therefore retained as derivative passenger attributions pending inspection of the exact handwritten entries.

A surname search also returned unrelated political comments using Killary as a nickname for a public figure. Those pages are not evidence about this traveler and have been excluded.

Questions and Unresolved Issues

  • Do the original August pages show the name in full or an abbreviation?
  • What aircraft registration and flight number appear on the original entries?
  • Do independent booking records establish the purpose of travel?
  • Are additional indexed flights independent legs or duplicate copies of the same record?
