Dr. Mehmet Oz and Jeffrey Epstein: Travel Records, Social Invitations and Documented Connections

Snapshot
Dr. Mehmet Oz’s documented connections to Jeffrey Epstein include a 2004 travel agency accounting entry, a January 2016 email from an account bearing Oz’s name, and a Valentine’s celebration invitation issued in Mehmet and Lisa Oz’s names. Other records place Oz within entertainment, charity, and medical event networks that also reached Epstein.
The strongest surviving social record is the February 2016 invitation. It was sent years after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for crimes involving prostitution, including procuring a person under 18. The document establishes that an invitation reached Epstein. It does not establish that he attended.
The reviewed material does not substantiate an allegation that Oz participated in Epstein’s sexual abuse or trafficking. It does raise questions about the origin, extent, and purpose of their contacts, particularly the social invitation issued after Epstein’s conviction.
This article covers publicly accessible records and reporting reviewed through October 3, 2026. It includes a search of the separate public first tranche of the leaked Yahoo mailbox. Sealed records, withheld material, unidentified correspondents, and unindexed images or attachments remain outside the confirmed findings.

Why the Timing Matters
The federal court record describes Epstein’s June 2008 guilty pleas to procuring a person under 18 for prostitution and solicitation of prostitution.
The distinction between the 2004 financial entry and the later invitations matters. The 2012 through 2017 records concern a period after that conviction. They cannot all be described as contacts that preceded public knowledge of Epstein’s criminal history.
Federal prosecutors charged Epstein in July 2019 with sex trafficking of minors and conspiracy. Their account described abuse and recruitment of underage girls. Epstein died before those charges could be tried.
Those allegations concerned Epstein and his alleged network. They do not establish wrongdoing by every person mentioned in his files.
The 2004 Travel Agency Entry
The Shoppers Travel report contains invoice number 63247, dated September 30, 2004, naming Oz/Mehmet and showing $1,592.80. The report was generated on April 27, 2016. Its generation date should not be confused with the invoice date.
The entry places a travel charge bearing Oz’s name within accounting records associated with Epstein. It does not identify an airline, itinerary, destination, aircraft registration, or fellow passengers.
The amount is an invoice entry, rather than a complete payment history. It cannot independently establish that Oz boarded Epstein’s aircraft, traveled with him, visited Little St. James, or knowingly accepted a particular favor.
A retrospective account of TEDMED, written by Paul Kandarian and reproduced on Richard Saul Wurman’s website, places Oz at the 2004 conference in Charleston. This offers a possible avenue for investigating the travel’s purpose.
No reviewed itinerary connects that conference to invoice 63247. Charleston therefore should not be presented as the invoice’s proven destination.
The 2012 Les Misérables Guest List
The screening correspondence concerns a December 9, 2012 Les Misérables event. Allison Reddington circulated an “updated yes list” for the following evening.
The material listed 142 screening guests and 124 party guests. It included Dr. and Mrs. Mehmet Oz. Epstein also appears in the circulated list.
The thread includes Peggy Siegal’s instruction to send the screening and dinner list to Jeffrey. The forwarded copy shows that the information continued circulating from Epstein’s account.
This is more relevant than a generic newspaper mention because it records intended participation in the same social event. Nevertheless, an affirmative guest list is not an arrival log.
The correspondence establishes overlapping planned attendance. It does not prove that either person arrived, spoke to the other, or attended an event hosted by Epstein.
The 2013 Federal Law Enforcement Foundation Invitation
John Catsimatidis’s November 6 email invited Epstein to the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation’s November 22, 2013 luncheon at the Waldorf Astoria.
The material named Dick Cheney and Ray Kelly as headliners and Dr. Mehmet Oz among the special guests. The solicitation offered individual places for $500 and tables starting at $5,000.
The record establishes that an invitation to an event publicly associated with Oz reached Epstein. Catsimatidis was the sender. The document supplies no basis for attributing the invitation to Oz.
Neither Oz’s listed status nor Epstein’s receipt proves attendance, personal contact, influence over law enforcement, or an arrangement between the men.
The Hasty Pudding Charity Connection
The 2014 gala material advertises a March 10 event honoring film producer David Heyman at the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
The Jeffrey Epstein VI Foundation appears under Guardian of the Sphinx, a sponsorship category of $50,000 and up. Lisa and Mehmet Oz appear under Fraternity of the Social Alligator, a category of $25,000 and up.
The flyer identifies its list as still in formation. It documents how organizers presented the sponsors. It does not establish final bank settlements or a coordinated contribution.
Contemporary gala coverage provides additional evidence about the Ozes. Its attendance report names Mehmet Oz, and a photograph identifies Lisa and Mehmet Oz together.
This corroborates their presence more strongly than the preliminary sponsor list alone. The photograph does not depict them with Epstein.
An attendee’s March 11 email thanked Epstein for including her the previous evening and described the Allen Room. It supports his involvement in arranging participation. It does not independently prove his physical presence or a meeting with Oz.
The 2015 charity correspondence shows Epstein’s assistant organizing guests for a sponsored table. The March 2019 financial record includes a $50,000 Gratitude America check and correspondence about his continued support.
These records establish aspects of Epstein’s relationship with Hasty Pudding. They do not establish additional Oz contacts.
Bloomberg’s investigation, published by NDTV Profit, reports at least $375,000 in Epstein donations from 2013 until his death. It also includes a photograph caption identifying Oz with Andrew Farkas at the 2019 gala.
The institute said it had donated to a charity supporting trafficking victims an amount exceeding Epstein’s contributions.
The wider institutional history is relevant to understanding how Epstein retained access to prestigious settings. It does not prove that Oz knew of Epstein’s guest arrangements or collaborated with him.
The 2014 Medical Event Invitation Epstein Declined
Dean Ornish’s invitation offered Epstein a place at an October 17, 2014 dialogue with Mehmet Oz and Sandra McLanahan at Lenox Hill Hospital’s Einhorn Auditorium.
The occasion marked the centenary of Swami Satchidananda’s birth. Ornish referred to having recently seen Epstein at TED.
Epstein’s initial response asked about Ornish’s availability on October 16. Ornish replied with his travel schedule, then followed up about joining the Lenox Hill event.
The October 15 reply resolves the invitation’s status. Epstein wrote “no unfortunaley,” using that spelling in the original, and expressed hope for another time.
The exchange documents Ornish’s invitation and Epstein’s refusal. It does not show Oz personally inviting Epstein.
Describing this as an event where Oz met Epstein, or as an event hosted by Epstein, would misstate the evidence.
The January 2016 Email
The January 1 email shows the sender name Dr Mehmet Oz, an address on the zoco.com domain, Epstein’s Gmail address as recipient, and the subject “Dr oz.”
The substantive message is covered by a redaction. Technical mailbox metadata remains visible below it.
The header supports a communication from an account presented as Oz’s. It supplies no public basis for reconstructing the message, deciding whether it concerned medicine or social plans, or identifying an Epstein reply.
A redaction is an information gap. It is not evidence of a particular concealed activity.
The email also cannot establish the frequency of their correspondence. One surviving message may be the only communication, or part of a larger exchange that is unavailable or unidentified. The visible record does not resolve that question.
The February 2016 Valentine’s Invitation
The February 1 invitation bears the sender name Mehmet & Lisa Oz and the subject “Mehmet & Lisa Oz’s Valentines Celebration.”
Its calendar information identifies February 14, 2016 and a Palm Beach location. The surviving text consists mainly of Paperless Post links and calendar fields.
The sender name identifies the hosts. It does not establish which individual selected Epstein, operated the invitation system, or personally pressed send.
The original image gives February 1. An extracted database field gives February 2, illustrating why the image should control the date.
People’s report matched the event location to the Oz couple’s Palm Beach home.
The reviewed material contains no RSVP, arrival record, photograph, or follow up demonstrating Epstein’s attendance.
The invitation remains significant because it reached a convicted sex offender under the couple’s names. Establishing its circumstances requires identifying who selected the recipient and what relationship prompted the invitation.
The 2017 Wellness References
The March 4 message transcript discusses a wellness media platform associated with Arianna Huffington.
A participant uses Dr. Oz and Oprah as comparisons for a consumer facing health personality. The remark is about Oz. It is not a message from him and does not place him inside the conversation or establish an investment relationship.
The August 17 forwarded announcement concerns the Global Wellness Summit planned for October 9 through 11 at the Breakers in Palm Beach.
Bruce Moskowitz sent Epstein the announcement and asked about the speakers. Oz appears alongside other medical and wellness figures in the program.
An announcement reaching Epstein’s inbox establishes information circulating through a professional network. It does not establish a personal Oz invitation, an Epstein speaking role, attendance, or a private meeting.
Neither 2017 reference should be counted as a direct Oz email.
Oz’s Television Coverage After Epstein’s Death
The FBI correspondence records an October 14, 2019 inquiry from associate producer Jillian Gonzales, who identified herself as working for Dr. Oz.
She asked the purpose of an October 23 survivor briefing in New York and whether it was open to the public or media. An FBI public affairs representative replied that the bureau could not help with the request.
These are television production records made after Epstein’s death. They do not establish Oz’s access to confidential survivor information, attendance at the briefing, or involvement in the criminal investigation.
Reporting on the November 2019 broadcast describes a survivor publicly identified as Kiki appearing on Oz’s program with attorney Lisa Bloom.
Her allegations concerned Epstein. Nothing in that appearance should be converted into an allegation against Oz.
Contemporary coverage of the January 16, 2020 special records Michael Baden discussing his objections to the suicide finding. Baden had been retained by Epstein’s family.
His appearance does not establish that Oz treated Epstein or performed the official autopsy.
The Justice Department inspector general’s 2023 report documents serious failures in Epstein’s custody. It reports the medical examiner’s suicide determination and the FBI’s finding of no criminality in how he died.
The television guest’s interpretation and the official findings must remain attributed to their respective sources.
The Separate Leaked Yahoo Mailbox
The public Yahoo release is a separate source collection from the DOJ PDFs.
This review downloaded its first tranche and searched all 13,010 email files. Message headers and text bodies were decoded before searching.
The search covered Mehmet, Dr. Oz, Dr Oz, Doctor Oz, Lisa Oz, DrMOz, zoco.com, doctoroz, HealthCorps, Sharecare, and the standalone surname Oz.
The alias search found five messages relevant to Oz or Sharecare. The broader surname search returned 36 messages. Other matches concerned product measurements, fictional Oz, and unrelated wording or businesses.
| Message date | Sender and subject | Relevant content | Classification |
|---|---|---|---|
| January 7, 2008 | XM Radio; Last chance to get this exclusive XM offer. | An advertisement lists Mehmet Oz among Oprah & Friends personalities. | Advertising, not correspondence with Oz. |
| September 14, 2016 | CNBC Morning Squawk; Fed and oil concern puts market in volatility overdrive | A news item previews Donald Trump’s appearance on Oz’s program. | News reference. |
| September 15, 2016 | CNBC Morning Squawk; Investors await plethora of economic data | A news item mentions the scheduled Dr. Oz Show broadcast. | News reference. |

| October 20, 2017 | CNBC Morning Squawk; US futures soar despite a huge decline in GE on disappointing earnings | A health insurance news item cites the Gallup Sharecare index. | Corporate name reference without an Oz interaction. |
No direct email from or to an identifiable Oz account was found in this tranche.
The Valentine’s invitation documented above was addressed to Epstein’s Gmail account. It should not be described as a discovery from the Yahoo leak.
The negative result applies to the public first tranche and its decoded headers and text bodies. It does not cover every leaked tranche, an entire lifetime mailbox, deleted messages, or a comprehensive examination of binary attachments.
Publication in a leaked collection also does not independently authenticate every message or establish that Epstein read it.
An Amazon seller message bearing the name OZ Medical Supply is not evidence of a connection to Mehmet Oz. No reviewed record ties that seller to him.
Indirect Political and Business Connections
April 2022 political reporting described an Oz campaign fundraiser at Pepe Fanjul’s Palm Beach farm.
The report emphasized Fanjul’s reported appearance in Epstein’s contact book. It arose amid attacks between rival Senate campaigns and relied on Daily Mail reporting.
This is an indirect network connection with a weaker evidentiary footing than the surviving Oz invitation. It should not be described as an Epstein fundraiser for Oz. The event occurred after Epstein’s death.
Fanjul’s reported connection cannot establish Oz’s relationship with Epstein, knowledge of abuse, or campaign financing by Epstein.
Searches combining Oz’s name with HealthCorps and Sharecare did not identify a document establishing an Epstein donation to those ventures, a joint business, or an investment arrangement.
The Hasty Pudding material concerns support for a third institution. It is not evidence that Epstein financed Oz’s charity or company.
These findings apply to the searched public material. They do not constitute a complete audit of corporate ownership, campaign finance, charity banking, tax filings, or undisclosed transactions.
Flights, Contact Books, Calendars and Photographs
The public flight index returned no entries for Mehmet Oz, Mehmet C. Oz, Dr Oz, or Lisa Oz in the searches conducted for this review.
That result concerns the index and those names. It cannot establish that Oz never traveled on an Epstein aircraft or that an incomplete or poorly transcribed log contains no relevant entry.
The 2004 invoice remains a travel accounting record. Turning it into a passenger manifest would add information the document does not contain.
No identifiable Oz listing in Epstein’s contact books, completed Oz meeting in a calendar, or photograph depicting Oz together with Epstein was verified in this review.
Text searches and the available image description index are useful discovery tools. Neither constitutes a visual examination of every address book page, calendar, or released photograph.
The gala photographs corroborate the Ozes’ participation in Hasty Pudding events. They do not establish a photographed Oz and Epstein encounter.
The calendar links inside the Valentine’s invitation describe a proposed celebration. They do not prove that Epstein added it to his calendar or attended.
Duplicate Records and Misleading Name Matches
A retrieved page count is not a relationship count.
The broad standalone Oz search returned 2,402 indexed pages. Search snippets were screened, and identifiable relevant candidates were examined alongside targeted alias searches.
The Mehmet search returned 74 pages. Many concerned other people.

| EFTA01882357, PDF page 2 | A redacted sender line produced an apparent Oz token in OCR. The original image does not visibly identify Mehmet Oz. |
The last example is particularly consequential. A stray OCR token near a redaction cannot identify an unnamed correspondent.
Sensitive content must not be attributed to Oz because an automated text layer appears to contain his surname.
What the Evidence Supports
The records support several distinct findings.
First, a travel agency accounting report associated with Epstein contains a charge bearing Oz’s name. The underlying itinerary and full payment history remain unresolved.
Second, an email account presented as Oz’s sent a message to Epstein in January 2016. The substance is unavailable.
Third, an invitation issued under Mehmet and Lisa Oz’s names reached Epstein in February 2016. It concerned a celebration at a Palm Beach location reported to be their home.
Fourth, the Ozes participated in a charity setting that also accepted Epstein’s sponsorship. The records do not establish coordinated giving or a joint venture.
Finally, third parties circulated event material mentioning Oz to Epstein. Those references cannot automatically be treated as communications between the men.
| Evidence category | Supported conclusion | Unsupported escalation |
|---|---|---|
| Travel accounting | A named travel charge appears in the report. | Oz flew on Epstein’s private jet or visited his island. |
| Redacted email | A header identifies an Oz account addressing Epstein. | The message concerned abuse, treatment, money, or concealment. |
| Valentine’s invitation | An invitation reached Epstein under the Ozes’ names. | Epstein attended or participated in a particular activity. |
| Charity sponsorship | Both names appear within the institution’s sponsorship material. | Oz and Epstein had a financial partnership. |
| Third party invitations | Epstein received material for events associated with Oz. | Oz personally invited him or met him there. |
| Television reporting | Oz’s program covered Epstein and contacted the FBI. | Oz had privileged investigative access or treated Epstein. |
Public Accountability and Survivor Interests
CMS’s current biography identifies Oz as the agency’s 17th administrator.
His public medical authority and government responsibilities make a documented invitation to a convicted sex offender a legitimate subject of scrutiny.
Reuters reported on February 12, 2026 that HHS did not respond to its request for comment and stated that Oz was not accused of wrongdoing related to the scandal.
That describes the status of that reporting. It is not a permanent finding about every possible future allegation or response.
The reviewed sources did not provide a substantive Oz explanation resolving who selected Epstein for the celebration, how they knew one another, or what the redacted January email concerned.
No fresh request for comment was sent for this article. A missing explanation in the reviewed sources should not be described as a refusal to answer this investigation.
The BMJ’s February 23, 2026 editorial names Oz among physicians whose continued associations with Epstein merit scrutiny and argues that survivors must be prioritized.
That is an ethical assessment. It is not a judicial finding that Oz committed abuse or trafficking.
Invitations and prestigious institutional settings can help a convicted abuser retain legitimacy. Determining an individual’s responsibility requires evidence about conduct and knowledge.
For survivors, careful attribution matters. Public attention should help identify people who abused, recruited, facilitated, concealed, or knowingly enabled exploitation.
Inflated attendance claims and mistaken identities can obscure those questions and undermine reliable accountability.
Research Coverage and Remaining Limits
The review combined targeted name and email searches, broad surname screening, original document text, visual examination of selected PDF pages, structured flight searches, image description searches, the public Yahoo tranche, and contemporary reporting.
Original PDF images were checked for the principal financial entry, guest list, gala flyer, medical invitation thread, direct correspondence, wellness announcement, FBI inquiry, and apparent OCR surname match.
The public corpus contains redactions, duplicates, incomplete indexing, and transcription errors. The Yahoo review covers decoded email text rather than a forensic authentication or complete attachment audit.
Further work would require additional Yahoo material, a complete visual review of relevant contact books and photographs, financial filings, and systematic examination of specialist investigative reporting.
The absence of a verified record in these searches is a limited research result. It is not proof that a contact never occurred.

Questions the Public Record Still Leaves Open
- What itinerary and payment history underlie the September 2004 travel invoice?
- Who first connected Oz and Epstein, and when?
- What did the redacted January 2016 message say, and did Epstein reply?
- Who selected Epstein for the Valentine’s invitation, and what relationship prompted it?
- Did Epstein accept or attend that celebration? Is there a preserved RSVP, guest list, photograph, or independent witness account?
- Did Oz know about Epstein’s Hasty Pudding sponsorship or guest arrangements?
- Did Oz and Epstein interact at any charity or entertainment event?
- Are there identifiable Oz records in unpublished Yahoo material, withheld documents, or currently unindexed attachments?
- Will Oz provide an account of his contacts and explain his understanding of Epstein’s conviction at the time?
These questions identify missing evidence. They do not establish the answers or imply that every gap conceals wrongdoing.
