Key Takeaways

  • Company instructions name Edwina Simmonds in a card issuance, limit increase and cancellation sequence.
  • Courier and household messages document administrative appearances under related spellings.
  • First name matches must not merge her with landscape architect Edwina von Gal.

A Company Card Chronology

A July 11, 2002 NES, LLC instruction requests a new card for Edwina Simmonds with a $2,000 limit and a separate card for Nicholas Simmonds with a $4,000 limit. The separate limits and names establish two requested card relationships, not a single combined cardholder.

The next account instruction bears an August 9, 2002 letter date and requests that Edwina’s and Nicholas’s limits each be increased to $5,000. Its fax header bears August 8, so both dates should remain visible rather than silently normalized. A March 4, 2003 instruction requests cancellation of both Visa cards and leaves the credit balance unallocated.

These are company instructions to banks. They show requested issuance, limit changes and cancellation. They do not alone prove that every instruction was implemented, who physically used a card or the ultimate purpose of individual purchases. The company and card number fields are unnecessary to the public account and are not reproduced.

Shipping Records in 2002

A December 2, 2002 FedEx invoice contains Edwina Simmons in shipment detail. The page’s Bates stamp is EFTA00218019, but it is page 4 within the six page parent document EFTA00218016. Linking the parent and page provides a working source instead of treating the continuation stamp as an independently retrievable PDF.

The December 23 invoice records a December 18 envelope shipment with Banu Kucukkoylu as sender and Edwina Simmonds as recipient, delivered December 19 and signed for with a Maxwell notation. Page 7 also records a shipment involving Les Wexner and Edwina’s name. An invoice shows logistics and billing. It cannot tell readers what was inside an envelope or prove the recipient personally received it.

Office and Household Correspondence

Nick Simmonds’ January 11, 2003 email asks Maxwell to consult Epstein about new flower arrangements at the East 71st Street property before his arrival. Edwina is copied. This is an office or household coordination record. Being copied is not evidence that she personally acted on the request.

An April 11, 2003 email record refers to a weekly report attachment and includes Edwina in technical message fields. The record does not itself reproduce the report’s substantive contents. A computer name or a first name in headers should not be treated as a verified full sender identity without another bridge.

Flight Record and Spelling Differences

The civil flight summary exhibit includes an October 1, 2002 London Luton to Paris Le Bourget entry involving Edwina and Nick. The index renders their surname in different ways. The civil summary is a litigation compilation; its full name interpretation is distinct from an original handwritten log or signed passenger manifest. The flight index returned one matching leg under each surname spelling, referring to the same date and route. It is not two separate journeys.

Identity, Role and Unresolved Questions

The strongest evidence is administrative: a named company card relationship and coordination around shipments and a residence. No employment contract inspected here establishes a complete job title, start date or termination date. Cancelling a company card does not necessarily mean ending employment.

Edwina von Gal appears elsewhere in Epstein correspondence as a landscape architect. A first name search returns both women. Those records must not be merged with Edwina Simmonds. The surname and source context are essential.
