EFTA01363209: Deutsche Bank’s Prytanee Research-Request Clarification

Snapshot

Record EFTA01363209, a one-page Deutsche Bank email reproduction headed RE: RESEARCH REQUEST: PRYTANEE [I].
Date The upper message is dated December 29, 2016, at 4:36:23 PM. The quoted request is dated the same day at 10:28 AM; this scan does not display a time zone.
Participants Cynthia Rodriguez writes to PWM BIS-Research. The quoted request is from Shreya Parashar on behalf of that research group.
Subject The exchange clarifies the order of names and supplies a GCIS identifier requested by the research team. The identifier is not reproduced here.
Length and stamps One PDF page bearing EFTA01363209, DB-SDNY-0053127 and SDNY_GM_00199311.
Related records EFTA01407178 is a separate four-page rendering of the reply and earlier request. EFTA01408764 is a separate four-page chain headed by a December 30 response.
Evidence limits The one-page record contains administrative correspondence, not research findings, a transaction ledger, an account-opening decision or proof of wrongdoing.

Key Takeaways

  • The printed identifier is EFTA01363209. The scan and the direct PDF show the same date, participants, subject and three page stamps.
  • The earlier message asks for clarification of name components and the GCIS field; Rodriguez’s reply supplies that information. The research subjects themselves are not listed on this page.
  • The longer related rendering places the request within a KYC case workflow. It is a separate source, not a continuation of EFTA01363209.
  • A next-day response says completed research was attached. The reviewed four-page PDF reproduces the email chain, without the research reports themselves.
  • This exchange does not establish ownership, a transfer, a compliance failure or criminal conduct. A research request and a statement that research was completed do not reveal what the research found.

What the document is

EFTA01363209 reproduces two messages under the subject RE: RESEARCH REQUEST: PRYTANEE [I]. The upper message is from Cynthia Rodriguez, whose signature identifies her as an Assistant Vice President at Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas, in Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management. The quoted message identifies Shreya Parashar as writing on behalf of PWM BIS-Research; her signature says Analyst | Research and control.

The page footer carries the EFTA identifier, two earlier production stamps, and confidentiality markings, including a reference to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 6(e). Those are features of the reproduced page. The PDF contains no cover sheet establishing its collection history, and the markings do not themselves supply a finding about any person mentioned.

The complete downloadable file contains one page. The existing EpsteinWiki attachment is a JPEG of that same page, with matching visible content and stamps. The PDF is a rendered record, not a native email file with complete transmission headers.

The clarification request and reply

Parashar’s quoted message thanks Rodriguez for earlier information and asks her to confirm how first, middle and last names should be separated. It also asks for the GCIS number, noting that the earlier email contained an all-zero value. Neither the earlier email nor the list of research subjects is reproduced on this single page.

Rodriguez’s reply explains the sequence as first name, second name, third name and last name, and provides a replacement GCIS value. The reply therefore answers two data-clarification questions. It does not say what searches were run, what results were returned, or whether the bank approved any relationship.

The displayed times put the request earlier on December 29 and the reply later that day. A separate rendering of the reply gives the upper message’s time as 16:36:23 with a -0500 offset. That extra header detail comes from the related rendering; it is not visible on the one-page scan.

Related correspondence and the next-day response

EFTA01407178 repeats the December 29 reply in a four-page email rendering. Its second page continues the request for name and GCIS clarification and introduces an earlier 10:12 AM email from Rodriguez. The third page contains the underlying list of people for whom research was requested, with extensive redactions. The final page includes a trust entry and asks that the research be attached to a KYC case. This establishes the administrative context without reproducing private client details.

EFTA01408764 begins with a December 30, 2016 message from PWM BIS-Research to Rodriguez and the research group, signed by Akash-Kumar Gomesh. It states, “Please find attached complete research.” The rest of that four-page PDF quotes the earlier request and related signature material. No research reports or search findings are included in the reviewed PDF.

The completion message documents a later step in the correspondence. It supports the limited statement that a sender said research was attached. It does not establish the reports’ contents, the outcome of any review, or a later decision. The two longer renderings also differ in their visible redactions; missing material should not be reconstructed by combining them.

Evidence Appearances

The primary record is one page. Its full inventory is below.

Evidence ID PDF page Contents and significance
EFTA01363209 1 Complete one-page file: December 29 reply clarifying name order and GCIS; quoted research-team request; signature blocks; confidentiality markings; DB-SDNY-0053127 and SDNY_GM_00199311 production stamps. No underlying research list or reports.

The following eight pages belong to two separate related files. They provide context; they are not additional pages of EFTA01363209 or independent corroboration of the repeated messages.

Evidence ID PDF page Contents and significance
EFTA01407178 1 Separate reply rendering: subject, sender, explicit time-zone offset, name-order answer, redacted GCIS field, Rodriguez signature and quoted request header.
EFTA01407179 2 Continuation of the name/GCIS clarification request; Parashar signature; header for the earlier December 29, 10:12 AM research request.
EFTA01407180 3 Underlying research-subject list with multiple names and extensive redactions. This is a request for research, not findings about those people.
EFTA01407181 4 Trust entry, redacted KYC/GCIS/cost-center fields and Rodriguez signature. Ends this four-page file; no research reports follow.
EFTA01408764 1 Separate December 30 response stating completed research was attached; Gomesh signature; quoted header for Parashar’s request.
EFTA01408765 2 Quoted clarification request and Parashar signature, followed by the original research-request header.
EFTA01408766 3 Underlying research-request list with extensive redactions. Its visible details differ from the other rendering; missing text is not inferred.
EFTA01408767 4 Trust entry, KYC-workflow reference, administrative identifiers and Rodriguez signature. Final page of the file; stated research attachments are not reproduced.

Privacy and evidentiary limits

The primary scan leaves a GCIS identifier visible while blacking out several contact fields. This article omits client, case, cost-center and contact values, and does not display the unredacted number in an inline image. The related files contain additional names and redacted personal information that are unnecessary to explain the clarification exchange.

Redactions in the longer records are not invitations to infer dates of birth, addresses or missing identities. Differences between reproductions do not establish why a field was withheld. Repeated quoted messages remain the same correspondence rather than separate encounters or independently verified events.

None of these messages states that the research subjects committed wrongdoing. The records do not establish an account balance, payment, ownership structure, completed transaction, adequacy of due diligence or legal outcome. Jeffrey Epstein is not named in the one-page record. A broader relationship to him would require separate evidence rather than inference from the archive or the subject line.

The related completion message is not a substitute for the research reports it refers to. This article describes the three reviewed PDF reproductions and their visible contents; it does not claim that they are the entire conversation or a complete KYC file.
