Overview

EFTA01795173 records a May 21, 2011 email from Sam Jaradeh to Jeffrey Epstein. It preserves Jaradeh’s final reply together with two earlier messages. The page states, “She’s in the bed sleeping with Boris and I !! No photos of her allowed! ;-)” and then, “You’re missed!” The recipient is Epstein, and the subject is “Re: Re:”. Read EFTA01795173, page 1.

The document is useful as a record of the correspondence and its wording. It is not independent confirmation that every statement in the exchange describes an event accurately. The quoted language, including the word “torturing,” does not by itself establish literal torture, sexual activity, abuse or anyone’s age.

Key Takeaways

  • The final reply is preserved in two differently formatted productions, EFTA01795173 and EFTA00911639. These are overlapping records of the same exchange, rather than two independent incidents.
  • Separately produced messages establish the order of the exchange using headers with an explicit +0000 offset.
  • The main document’s second page contains only a page number and production stamps. It does not contain an additional message or photograph.
  • The earlier reply in EFTA01164904 includes an embedded photograph with a face redacted. The original email production EFTA00631119 instead displays a broken image placeholder. The final reply productions retain a photo.jpg reference.
  • The chain uses the first name Boris. It does not, on its own, establish a surname or justify identifying redacted people.

The Email Chain

Jaradeh’s opening message

EFTA00631119 is a one page email from Sam Jaradeh to Jeffrey Epstein. Its date header reads “Sat, 21 May 2011 06:01:52 +0000”. Its inline image field names photo.jpg. The body says, “Boris is torturing [redacted] in her sleep!!! They want you to come meet us!!!” The bracketed word here represents the black redaction on the page; it is not text supplied by the sender. The PDF displays an image placeholder rather than the photograph. Read EFTA00631119, page 1.

Epstein’s reply

EFTA01164904 records Epstein replying to Jaradeh at “Sat, 21 May 2011 11:33:54 +0000”, under the subject “Re:”. It quotes Jaradeh’s earlier message and includes an embedded photograph. The photograph depicts a person lying on a bed, with a black redaction covering the face. The image does not establish identity, age, consent, location or the meaning of the email’s wording. Page 2 continues the confidentiality footer and carries the stamp EFTA01164905. Read EFTA01164904, pages 1 and 2.

Jaradeh’s final reply

EFTA00911639 records Jaradeh’s final reply at “Sat, 21 May 2011 19:32:54 +0000”. Its text and quoted chain correspond to EFTA01795173, whose header displays “Saturday, May 21, 2011 7:33 PM”. Both contain the statement about sleeping in bed with Boris, the statement that no photos of her were allowed, and the closing “You’re missed!” Read EFTA00911639, page 1 and EFTA01795173, page 1.

Timeline and Time Zones

  1. May 21, 2011, 06:01:52 UTC: Jaradeh sends the opening message preserved in EFTA00631119.
  2. May 21, 2011, 11:33:54 UTC: Epstein replies in EFTA01164904.
  3. May 21, 2011, 19:32:54 UTC: Jaradeh sends the final reply preserved in EFTA00911639 and reproduced in EFTA01795173.

These UTC times come from the explicit +0000 headers in the Data Set 9 records. The quoted chain also displays “8:01 AM” for Jaradeh’s earlier message and “5:33 AM” for Epstein’s reply, without explicit offsets in those quoted lines. Those display times should not be treated as a single local clock or used to reverse the order established by the +0000 headers. EFTA01795173’s displayed 7:33 PM header does not itself display a time zone.

Document and Page Guide

  • EFTA01795173, Data Set 10, pages 1 and 2: The final reply and quoted chain appear on page 1. Page 2 is blank except for its page number and production stamps. The Bates range is EFTA01795173 through EFTA01795174.
  • EFTA00911639, Data Set 9, page 1: A differently formatted production of the final reply, with the explicit 19:32:54 +0000 timestamp.
  • EFTA00631119, Data Set 9, page 1: Jaradeh’s opening email, with the explicit 06:01:52 +0000 timestamp and a broken image placeholder.
  • EFTA01164904, Data Set 9, pages 1 and 2: Epstein’s reply, the embedded photograph and a confidentiality footer continuing onto page 2. The Bates range is EFTA01164904 through EFTA01164905.

The source PDFs were visually reviewed through Epstein Data. Epstein Data is an independent repository, not the Department of Justice. Each record page also provides a link to its corresponding DOJ release. The overlapping productions differ in formatting, page count, redactions and treatment of the inline photograph.

Evidence Limits

The records establish what the preserved emails say and show. They do not establish the identity or age of the redacted person, the identity of everyone described in the text, where the events occurred, whether Epstein joined the correspondents, or whether a further photograph was sent.

The word “torturing” is Jaradeh’s wording. This chain does not provide enough context to determine whether it was literal or figurative. A photograph of someone lying on a bed does not resolve that question. Nor does the phrase “sleeping with” alone establish sexual activity.

Boris is named in the body, but no surname appears in these four records’ relevant messages. Identifying him as a particular person requires a separate, documented connection. The presence of a person’s name in an email is not proof of wrongdoing.

Multiple productions of an email are useful for comparing headers and presentation. They should not be counted as independent corroboration of the events described. Redactions are preserved here, and no identity is inferred from their size, placement or differences between productions.

Questions and Answers

Are EFTA01795173 and EFTA00911639 separate incidents?

No. Their matching sender, recipient, subject, final reply and quoted chain identify overlapping productions of the same exchange. Their different document numbers and layouts should not be treated as evidence of two separate incidents.

Is a photograph actually preserved?

Yes. EFTA01164904 includes an embedded photograph with a face redacted. EFTA01795173 and EFTA00911639 contain the photo.jpg reference instead. EFTA00631119 shows a broken image placeholder. The photograph is not reproduced in this article.

Does the email identify Boris by surname?

No. The relevant messages name Boris without a surname. A separate evidentiary connection is needed before linking the reference to a particular biography.

Does this establish abuse or that a child was involved?

No. These records alone do not establish anyone’s age or prove abuse, sexual activity or literal torture. The email language should be reported as correspondence, with those limits intact.
