Each kind of record answers a different question. A laboratory email documents coordination but does not settle whether there was a formal treatment agreement. A calendar entry documents a plan but does not prove attendance. An expression of interest in visiting Little Saint James does not establish that Attia went there.

Attia acknowledged the relationship and apologized for parts of his correspondence. He denied involvement in criminal activity. His account is included alongside the dated records.

Identity Verification

Attia’s professional biography identifies him as a physician and longevity writer. His name, medical designation, and Attia Medical signature appear in the April 2016 correspondence with Epstein. Those details connect the named correspondent to the public figure discussed here.

A search hit containing only a surname or automatically extracted name requires inspection of the underlying document. Forwarded chains can repeat a name and earlier messages without representing new exchanges.

Background

Attia built a public profile through his longevity practice, podcast, and book Outlive. That medical role is relevant because Epstein’s correspondence with him includes laboratory arrangements, health questions, and introductions to other professionals.

His professional standing does not establish what occurred at a proposed appointment. The dated messages are the evidence for those questions.

Documented Connection to Jeffrey Epstein

In his February 2026 statement, Attia said he met Epstein in 2014 and visited his New York home approximately seven or eight times through 2019. He said he asked about Epstein’s conviction, accepted an explanation that minimized it, and later regretted maintaining the relationship.

The released material includes direct emails, assistant messages, schedules, health discussions, social language, apartment arrangements, and professional introductions. Attia’s visit estimate is retrospective. Multiple copies of an email or reminders about one appointment cannot be counted as separate meetings.

Timeline

2014: Attia’s account of the introduction

Attia said he met Epstein while pursuing scientific interests and was attracted by Epstein’s access to influential people. This is Attia’s account of the introduction. The dated records discussed below begin in 2015.

2015: Health coordination and social correspondence

Groff’s June 3 laboratory kit email, EFTA00347021, asks Attia’s office when to expect a kit and paperwork. The second kit and blood draw chain, EFTA01746095, discusses another kit and Attia receiving Epstein’s results. These records establish health coordination, while leaving billing and formal clinical status unresolved.

The June 24 friendship exchange, EFTA02496403, contains Attia’s remark about the difficulty of keeping quiet about Epstein’s “outrageous” life. Attia later said he meant Epstein’s exclusive social world and denied referring to sexual abuse. The email establishes his words; his later statement supplies his explanation.

The overlapping “fresh shipment” record, EFTA01745447, contains redacted images. Attia said his image showed metformin bottles and that Epstein’s reply showed an adult woman. The released redactions do not independently establish either image’s contents.

The July 2015 appointment material, EFTA00285098, included Attia in a proposed New York meeting. It documents scheduling, not independently verified attendance. Vanity Fair’s review of a proposed New Mexico ranch trip says Epstein canceled that plan.

The October Paul Conti introduction, EFTA00841819, shows Attia connecting the psychiatrist with Epstein regarding possible care for an unnamed woman. Willamette Week’s account of the correspondence also identifies Attia as the introducer. The woman, rather than Epstein, was the proposed patient. This record does not establish that Attia treated her or knew of abuse.

2016: An apartment stay and further health discussions

The January cancellation entry, EFTA00502917, marked an evening appointment with Attia for cancellation and proposed moving it. The January 7 breakfast listing, EFTA02064692, placed breakfast with him at 8:30 a.m. Those entries cannot be counted as two completed meetings.

The apartment departure chain, EFTA02062476, records Attia discussing vacating and cleaning an apartment made available through Epstein’s staff. Groff responded about the arrangements. Attia acknowledged the stay in his public statement. The chain also contains his remark about going into “JE withdrawal” when he did not see Epstein. It does not establish what he knew about anyone else who may have used the apartment.

The February health and lodging exchange, EFTA02472032, includes Epstein asking about test results and offering lodging again after Attia referred to the earlier stay. Vanity Fair’s review of other medical correspondence describes an offer by Attia to take Epstein as a paying patient. Attia has said he was not Epstein’s doctor. The cited material does not resolve the complete clinical or billing relationship.

The Rumsfeld introduction email, EFTA00704230, records Attia expressing interest in meeting Donald Rumsfeld. It does not establish that an introduction or dinner occurred.

The Cayman Islands and Little Saint James exchange, EFTA00648630, records Attia expressing interest in visiting “LSJ.” It does not document a completed island trip. He has denied visiting the island or flying on Epstein’s aircraft.

Groff’s July New York reminder, EFTA00321642, said Attia was in the city and might see Epstein. A reminder is not proof that the proposed encounter occurred.

2017: A prospective employee and fitness planning

The April applicant follow up, EFTA00710758, concerns a role at Attia’s practice. The candidate and visa exchange, EFTA01048416, records Attia asking Epstein about a candidate’s O visa and Epstein commenting on her loyalty. Neither document establishes that she was hired.

POLITICO’s investigation of the former model’s account reported that her lawyers said Epstein had abused her. Her allegation concerns Epstein. The employment exchange does not establish that Attia knew of her experience or participated in abuse. Her private circumstances are unnecessary to explain the record.

The Jesse Schwartzman fitness chain, EFTA02224023, shows Attia arranging a proposed physical assessment of Epstein. This was fitness planning, not a psychiatric assessment. The arrangements do not establish the assessment’s result.

The July appointment alert, EFTA02225448, listed Attia on a schedule. The October visit confirmation, EFTA02579823, concerned a planned visit involving Attia and Karyna Shuliak. Neither advance entry independently proves attendance.

The November personal exchange, EFTA02568327, contains Attia’s response after Epstein asked whether he was doing better. The short exchange does not explain the cause of Attia’s reply.

2018 and 2019: Continued contact

The March New York appointment request, EFTA00471035, told Epstein that Attia would be in the city and wanted to see him. The message does not show approval or a completed meeting.

The Barry Sternlicht introduction exchange, EFTA00987558, records Attia proposing an introduction to someone he described as a patient. Epstein responded affirmatively. The exchange does not establish that the introduction happened.

The December reporting fallout exchange, EFTA01014453, records Attia asking about a recent story and whether Epstein’s legal position had changed. Vanity Fair’s review connects the discussion to the Miami Herald’s reporting. The email itself does not name the story or establish what Attia knew before reading it.

CBS News reported apparent correspondence into spring 2019. The specific final direct exchange is not established by the records listed here.

2026: Response and consequences

Attia’s February 2 statement apologized for crude correspondence. Reuters reported his departure from David Protein, and CBS confirmed his later contributor departure.

In a separate stock option suit, the July 8 court order denied Oura permission to add proposed Epstein related defenses and counterclaims. Oura’s September 21 SEC filing described the underlying equity case as pending.

No flight manifest identified in the material examined for this article places Attia aboard Epstein’s aircraft. Attia denies flying on it. A travel discussion or another person’s itinerary cannot establish that he was a passenger.

The laboratory kit email and CBS News’ review of calendar records support health related interaction. The June friendship exchange and the apartment chain show social familiarity. The candidate and visa email concerns Attia’s practice.

Vanity Fair reported that Attia offered to take Epstein as a paying patient. The cited material does not establish actual billing or define the full clinical relationship. The separate Oura stock option dispute is not evidence of a financial transaction between Attia and Epstein.

Allegations and Legal Proceedings

Former model’s allegation against Epstein

POLITICO reported the former model’s account through her lawyers. They said Epstein had abused her. The candidate and visa exchange, EFTA01048416, does not establish that Attia knew of the alleged abuse, participated in it, or hired her.

Attia v. Oura Ring, Inc.

Reuters described Oura’s attempt to add allegations about Attia’s Epstein relationship to a preexisting stock option case, Attia v. Oura Ring, Inc., No. 4:23-cv-03433 in the Northern District of California.

The July 8, 2026 court order denied Oura permission to change the case schedule to add those proposed defenses and counterclaims. The order addressed timing and prejudice. Attia’s February 2 statement apologized for crude correspondence and said he regretted the association. He denied involvement in criminal activity, witnessing illegal behavior, visiting Epstein’s island, flying on Epstein’s aircraft, or attending sex parties.

He said the image he sent in the “fresh shipment” exchange showed metformin and Epstein’s reply showed an adult woman. The sources examined here identify no court finding that Attia participated in Epstein’s crimes and no Epstein related criminal charge against him. The July 8 Oura order is a procedural decision in a separate civil case.
