Research ClassificationFamily; Historical Aircraft Passengers; Wexner Family Network

Yehuda Koppel, recorded as Yehura Koppel in a published Epstein aviation spreadsheet, was a Polish-born Jewish military veteran, aviation executive and father of Abigail Koppel Wexner. His daughter married Leslie Wexner, whose financial and personal relationship with Jeffrey Epstein became a major subject of subsequent investigative reporting.

The clearest aviation evidence connecting Koppel to Epstein is a September 3, 1997 flight from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Paris Le Bourget, France. The passenger spreadsheet identifies both Yehura Koppel and Zipora Koppel, along with Epstein, Jack Robertson, Steve Tuckerman and Judy Tuckerman.

Two possible earlier Koppel family travel appearances have also been identified in published records: July 25, 1993, and July 23, 1995. Those entries use less specific passenger names and require separate identity verification. They cannot be represented as equally strong evidence.

Koppel’s independent obituary establishes important biographical facts about his family, British Army service, reported Haganah role and career in the American operations of El Al. None of those facts, separately or in combination, establishes that he participated in Epstein’s criminal conduct or an intelligence operation.

Identity: Yehuda, Yehura and Mr. Koppel

The published Yehuda Koppel obituary identifies Yehuda as the husband of Zipora Goldman Koppel and father of Abigail Koppel Wexner.

By contrast, the September 1997 passenger spreadsheet spells the first name Yehura.

It also names Zipora Koppel on the same flight.

This distinctive pairing strongly supports identifying the flight passenger as Yehuda Koppel, although the exact spelling visible on the original handwritten manifest has not been newly authenticated.

Why the Names Matter

Yehuda and Yehura are not interchangeable spellings when reproducing evidence.

Researchers should preserve Yehura when quoting the spreadsheet and use Yehuda when discussing the independently documented biographical identity.

The name Mr. Koppel requires still more caution because it provides no first name.

The existence of multiple male members of the Koppel family means that a surname-only entry cannot be automatically assigned to Yehuda.

Birth and Early Life in Poland

The family obituary published in September 2006 states that Yehuda Koppel was born in Kalisz, Poland, to Chaim and Sara Koppel.

He was 89 when he died, supporting a birth year of approximately 1917.

A separate genealogical index provides June 16, 1917, but the exact birth date has not been established through an independently authenticated civil record.

His family reported that he left Poland at age sixteen and settled in Mandatory Palestine.

That places his relocation in approximately 1933, although the obituary does not specify the exact date.

British Army and Jewish Brigade

Koppel’s family obituary describes his service in the British Army during the Second World War.

It identifies him as a member of the Jewish Brigade and says he served in Europe.

The family account states that he left the British Army with the rank of major.

These are historically significant biographical claims, but they are sourced to the published family remembrance.

No individual British military personnel file or unit service record has been independently authenticated as part of this article.

The Haganah Connection

The obituary further identifies Yehuda Koppel as a leader in the Haganah, an armed Jewish organization active in Mandatory Palestine before the establishment of Israel.

Its members later contributed to the formation of the Israel Defense Forces.

The obituary credits Koppel with participating in the events surrounding Israel’s establishment in 1948.

The Evidence Boundary

Military service and Haganah involvement are not equivalent to proof of subsequent covert intelligence operations.

The identified records do not establish that Koppel served as an intelligence intermediary for Jeffrey Epstein or Leslie Wexner.

Such a finding would require operational correspondence, identified intelligence records, financial documentation or reliable firsthand testimony addressing specific conduct.

No such original evidence has been established for Koppel in the reviewed Epstein records.

El Al Israel Airlines and New York

The New York Times obituary notice credits Koppel with opening El Al Israel Airlines’ first American office.

According to the family account, he moved to New York during the 1950s and continued living there until his death.

His role with Israel’s national airline is a meaningful part of his professional biography.

However, the obituary does not identify his precise employment title across every year or establish his complete corporate authority.

El Al and Epstein’s Private Aircraft

Koppel’s work in commercial aviation and his subsequent appearance on an Epstein-associated private flight are separately documented facts.

No verified record establishes that the Paris trip was an El Al assignment or that El Al provided a service to Epstein through Koppel.

It would be incorrect to infer an intelligence or commercial airline operation merely from the combination of these records.

Marriage and Immediate Family

The 2006 obituary identifies Koppel’s wife as Zipora Goldman Koppel.

It names their sons Dan and Gil and daughter Abigail.

The obituary also identifies Leslie Wexner as Koppel’s son-in-law.

Its family information is independently supported in part by a separate Ohio State University memorial notice acknowledging the death of Abigail Wexner’s father.

That memorial is an independent institutional confirmation of the family relationship, rather than an additional firsthand source for every detail of the obituary’s military history.

Abigail Koppel Wexner and Leslie Wexner

Abigail Koppel married Leslie Wexner in January 1993.

Wexner was the founder of The Limited and was closely associated with major retail and real estate ventures in Columbus and New Albany, Ohio.

Jeffrey Epstein’s financial relationship with Wexner is separately documented in investigative reporting and litigation.

Koppel’s relationship to Wexner was familial, through his daughter.

The available records do not establish that Yehuda Koppel personally managed Wexner’s finances, handled Epstein’s accounts or participated in transactions between the two men.

Why the Relationship Matters

The marriage helps explain why references to the Koppel family occur within aviation records involving Epstein’s Columbus-related social network.

However, family membership is not evidence of personal participation in every activity of a son-in-law or his associates.

Specific financial or legal responsibilities must be established by documents naming the person concerned.

July 25, 1993: Columbus to Teterboro

The July 25, 1993 aviation index records a flight from Columbus, Ohio, to Teterboro, New Jersey.

The flight notes name Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, Dawn DeVito and Mr. Koppel.

The secondary index expands Mr. Koppel to Yehuda Koppel.

However, the source notation does not independently establish the first name.

Columbus and the Wexner Family

Columbus was the center of Wexner’s business and family interests.

That geographic context makes Yehuda Koppel a plausible identification.

Yet plausibility is not the same as primary evidence.

The original page and any available related records should be used to determine whether Mr. Koppel was indeed Yehuda.

July 23, 1995: An Additional Koppel Family Flight Lead

A secondary chronological compilation includes a July 23, 1995 Columbus-to-Teterboro movement aboard Gulfstream N908JE.

Its narrative identifies Mr. Koppel and Mrs. Koppel, and expands those names to Yehuda and Zipora.

This adds a potentially important middle date between the 1993 and 1997 flight appearances.

Why the 1995 Entry Requires Caution

The chronology is a research compilation rather than a separately authenticated original manifest.

It does not establish whether the full names were present in the handwritten log or supplied by the compiler.

It also does not establish whether the July 23 flight record was duplicated or interpreted from overlapping records.

The entry should be included as an investigation lead without representing it as a conclusively verified journey by Yehuda and Zipora.

September 3, 1997: Flight 1025 to Paris

The Epstein Data entity network identifies Yehura Koppel and Zipora Koppel among people recorded on an Epstein-associated flight dated September 3, 1997.

The published structured flight spreadsheet provides the underlying itinerary.

Flight 1025 departed Teterboro and arrived at Paris Le Bourget.

The aircraft was Gulfstream N908JE, model G1159B.

The Spousal Identification

The strongest biographical identification is the simultaneous appearance of Yehura Koppel and Zipora Koppel.

The published obituary confirms Yehuda Koppel’s spouse as Zipora Goldman Koppel.

That substantially strengthens the conclusion that the spreadsheet’s Yehura refers to Yehuda.

It does not independently establish why the couple traveled, who arranged their transportation or what they did after arriving in France.

September 3, 1997: The Preceding Columbus Flight

The aviation chronology also records flight 1024 from Columbus to Teterboro earlier on September 3.

Steve and Judy Tuckerman appear in its published passenger group.

Yehuda and Zipora Koppel are not individually established as passengers on that positioning leg.

They are named on the subsequent flight 1025 from Teterboro to Paris.

The two aircraft movements must therefore remain separate.

A passenger on the second leg cannot automatically be added to the first.

September 6, 1997: Paris to Nice

The structured flight-log sequence records flight 1026 departing Paris Le Bourget for Nice on September 6, 1997.

The passenger group differs from the September 3 Paris arrival.

Yehura and Zipora Koppel are not named among the passengers identified in that subsequent entry.

The available records therefore do not establish that the Koppels continued to Nice or traveled on later legs of the aircraft’s European itinerary.

Their precise return arrangements remain unresolved.

Steve and Judy Tuckerman

Steve and Judy Tuckerman appear on the September 3, 1997 Paris flight.

The Tuckerman family’s professional activities have been associated with real estate development in the Columbus and New Albany region.

That regional connection overlaps with Wexner’s business geography.

However, the passenger record does not independently establish that the Paris journey concerned real estate, business negotiations or Wexner family affairs.

No verified correspondence explaining the purpose of the shared trip has been established.

Jack Robertson

Jack Robertson is the second named passenger on flight 1025.

His presence completes the six-person group recorded in the structured transcription.

The manifest does not establish a personal or professional relationship between Robertson and Yehuda Koppel.

Nor does it identify Robertson as a representative of the Koppel family.

Those questions require documents beyond the shared flight entry.

Zipora Goldman Koppel

Zipora’s appearance on flight 1025 is unusually important to the identification of the passenger called Yehura.

The obituary identifies her as Yehuda’s surviving wife.

The structured record places both names on the same flight to Paris.

This is stronger identity evidence than a common surname appearing alone.

However, Zipora’s presence does not establish the couple’s reason for traveling or their level of personal familiarity with Epstein.

Abigail Koppel and Separate Aviation Records

The broader flight-log indexes also contain references to Abigail Koppel, the daughter of Yehuda and Zipora.

Those are separate passenger identifications.

A flight involving Abigail cannot be treated as a flight involving her parents unless the original record independently identifies them.

Similarly, Leslie Wexner’s documented relationship with Epstein does not establish that Yehuda participated in Wexner’s professional transactions.

Keeping each family member’s appearances separate is essential for a reliable investigation.

Wexner, Epstein and the Financial Network

Jeffrey Epstein’s association with Leslie Wexner was a significant part of Epstein’s financial history.

Koppel entered the Wexner family through his daughter Abigail’s marriage.

The aviation records also place a person strongly identified as Yehuda aboard Epstein-associated aircraft.

Those facts establish a familial link and documented travel association.

What the Records Do Not Establish

No original payment record, asset transfer, investment agreement, appointment letter or financial instruction reviewed here establishes that Yehuda Koppel managed Epstein’s affairs.

There is also no verified record establishing that Koppel controlled or financed Wexner’s Epstein-related transactions.

The family connection must not be turned into an unsupported financial allegation.

Claims About Intelligence Connections

Some independent commentary on the Wexner and Epstein network highlights Yehuda Koppel’s reported Haganah background and El Al career.

At times, those facts are presented as suggestive of intelligence relationships.

However, no identified Epstein-related original source demonstrates that Koppel conducted covert operations, directed Epstein or handled intelligence on behalf of any government.

Nor does a shared flight establish the purpose of any private conversations.

Evidence Required for an Intelligence Finding

A responsible finding would require material such as authenticated operational communications, identified intelligence records, financial transfers linked to specific covert activity or credible firsthand testimony describing particular acts.

No such Koppel-specific evidence was authenticated in this review.

His military and aviation background should therefore be reported as biography, not treated as proof of an Epstein intelligence operation.

Contact Books, Correspondence and Financial Records

Focused searches of publicly indexed Epstein documents did not establish a separately authenticated email, contact-book entry, payment or business agreement identifying Yehuda Koppel beyond the travel and background evidence described here.

Searches included the names Yehuda Koppel, Yehura Koppel, Zipora Koppel and surname-only references.

Some results concerned unrelated Koppels or derivative reproductions of the same original flight data.

The absence of a reliable matching document in these searches does not prove that no other records exist in the broader DOJ or FBI production.

It does prevent unsupported claims about direct employment, payments or a continuing correspondence relationship.

Independent Research and Source Provenance

The independent flight-source comparison identifies Yehura and Zipora among names present in a circulated unredacted spreadsheet rather than uniformly across every public log version.

This is relevant to the evidentiary strength of the full-name entries.

The September 1997 structured passenger information is repeated in other online databases and timelines, but those repetitions do not create independent firsthand confirmations.

The Epstein Data relationship network records one 1997 shared-flight connection for each member of the couple.

The family obituary and Ohio State memorial are independent biographical materials that help identify the people, rather than establish new Epstein travel events.

The 1993 and 1995 journeys remain surname-based or secondary-expanded leads until the original source pages are verified.

Source Conflicts and Limits

Yehura Versus Yehuda

The spreadsheet uses Yehura, while the obituary names Yehuda. The accompanying spouse’s name strongly supports a transcription or spelling discrepancy, but the original handwriting has not been independently authenticated.

The 1993 Mr. Koppel

The surname-only record cannot conclusively identify Yehuda without additional evidence.

The 1995 Couple

A secondary chronology expands the travelers to Yehuda and Zipora. The original recorded names and passenger fields require authentication.

1997 Passenger Identification

The married couple is strongly identified through the names in the spreadsheet and independently documented family information. Reproductions of the spreadsheet do not count as independent source witnesses.

El Al and Military Service

These details derive principally from a family-authored obituary, repeated by multiple publications. Repetition does not make every military and professional claim independently verified.

Intelligence Allegations

The reviewed records do not establish a specific intelligence operation involving Yehuda Koppel and Epstein.

Original EFTA Mapping

No independently authenticated individual EFTA flight page is available for citation in this profile. Spreadsheet identifiers must not be misrepresented as original DOJ Bates identifiers.

Assessment of the Documentary Record

Yehuda Koppel is strongly identified as the person recorded as Yehura Koppel on Epstein-associated flight 1025 from Teterboro to Paris on September 3, 1997.

The simultaneous identification of his wife Zipora provides unusually useful evidence for reconciling the first-name discrepancy.

A July 25, 1993 flight records Mr. Koppel, while a secondary July 23, 1995 chronology identifies Mr. and Mrs. Koppel. These earlier entries are plausible family connections but remain less conclusively authenticated.

Independent obituary records establish Koppel’s immediate family and describe his military and El Al career. Ohio State University’s memorial independently confirms his relationship to Abigail and Leslie Wexner.

These records place Koppel within the wider Wexner family network and connect a person strongly matching his identity to Epstein-associated international aircraft travel.

They do not establish that he participated in Epstein’s financial dealings, sexual crimes or any covert intelligence operation.

The strongest supported classification is a Wexner family member by marriage and historical aviation passenger, with one strongly identified 1997 journey and two earlier passenger-identification leads requiring original-source resolution.
