Financial Records: Research Tools and Source Verification

What do you want to find?
Choose a tool, follow a lead, then check the original record.

Find a bank record
Epstein Data
Credit: Epstein Data
Search financial documents by phrase, source or responding entity. Open the original scan.
Public search
Open toolOCR and incomplete releases can affect results.
How to use & cautions
Epstein Data provides full text search with a Financial category, source filters, responding entity filters and native file options.
- Search a specific phrase, such as “wire transfer”.
- Select Financial, then narrow the source or responding entity when useful.
- Open a result and record its EFTA identifier and page.
- Compare the extracted text with the original scan.
Try “account statement” or a known EFTA identifier. Remove filters if results are empty. OCR, classification and incomplete releases can all affect retrieval.
Access: public search without an account. Credit: the independent Epstein Data project. See the corpus description and EpsteinWiki’s Epstein Data guide.
Next check: Open the source page and identify the document type.

Find an amount
Documented Amounts
Credit: Tommy Carstensen
Find money figures alongside dates, financial terms and document identifiers.
Public tool
Open toolAn amount is not necessarily a completed payment.
How to use & cautions
Documented Amounts groups money figures with nearby dates, financial vocabulary and source identifiers. The public page currently shows the largest 1,000 entries from a transaction filtered subset. The project says its full 90,964 row ledger remains internal pending review.
- Use the filter box for an instrument, date, context term or document identifier. Try invoice.
- Read the currency, nearby date, context and document columns together.
- Open the cited document and find the exact figure on the page.
- Decide what the figure represents before adding it to your own notes.
The tool does not resolve payer and payee. A nearby date may describe a statement period or quoted event. Repeated document copies may carry the same figure. Never add the visible rows into a supposed total of payments.
Access: public page, no account requested. Credit: Tommy Carstensen. EpsteinWiki’s sleuth report on the amount ledger provides additional context.
Next check: Check whether the figure is a transfer, balance, total or unrelated text.

Trace an entity
Money Network
Credit: Tommy Carstensen
Explore companies, trusts, banks and assets, then check the record behind each connection.
Public tool
Open toolRead each connection’s label and source.
How to use & cautions
Carstensen’s Money Network offers a searchable directory plus money flow and asset views. It is useful when a record names a company or trust rather than an individual.
- Search an entity, such as Southern Trust Company.
- Open its directory entry and inspect the description of a particular relationship.
- Follow the cited EFTA document.
- Record whether the evidence concerns ownership, administration, a bank relationship, an asset or a payment.
A connecting line can represent different relationships. Its label and source matter more than its position in a graph. The directory is a researcher’s synthesis; verify the specific proposition before relying on it.
Access: public directory and visualizations. Credit: Tommy Carstensen. Read the EpsteinWiki tool guide and related sleuth report.
Next check: Follow the citation supporting the particular connection.

Read an estate record
Will and Estate
Credit: Tommy Carstensen
Locate estate instruments, beneficiaries, executors, trustees and trust structures.
Public tool
Open toolA stated bequest does not prove distribution.
How to use & cautions
Will and Estate organizes estate instruments, beneficiaries, executors, trustees and related trust structures.
- Choose the instrument or section relevant to your question. Try the 1953 Trust section.
- Use the table’s name filter or column sorting to locate an entry.
- Open the source identifier and read the full clause, including conditions and reserves.
- Keep the document date with your note and check whether a later instrument or court filing changes the picture.
A stated bequest records a direction in an instrument. Actual distributions require separate evidence. Redacted identities should remain protected; a missing name is not an invitation to infer one.
Access: public tables and source links. Credit: Tommy Carstensen. See EpsteinWiki’s Will and Estate guide.
Next check: Read the instrument, its date, conditions and later court records.

Find a purchase
Jamazon
Credit: Jmail project
Browse historical Amazon orders, dates, status labels and available totals.
Public browsing
Open toolAn order does not establish use or purpose.
How to use & cautions
Jamazon presents Amazon order records with dates, order links, status labels and, where available, totals.
- Search a neutral product term, such as chair.
- Open the order number rather than a current retail product listing.
- Check the source, order date, amount and status.
- Record only what the historical order supports.
A modern product image, rating or shopping link may be additional presentation material. It does not authenticate the exact historical item or establish who used it. An order alone does not explain purpose.
Access: public browsing without an account. Credit: the Jmail project. Read EpsteinWiki’s Jamazon guide.
Next check: Separate an order, invoice or shipment from proof of use, contents or receipt.

Inspect a spreadsheet
Spreadsheet Corpus
Credit: Epstein Data
Find spreadsheet extractions, then compare values with the original record.
Public catalogue
Open toolExtraction may lose formulas or sheet structure.
How to use & cautions
The Epstein Data Spreadsheet Corpus is a separate catalogue for spreadsheet extraction. Its displayed table counts are much smaller than the full text corpus, so they should not be described as all financial spreadsheets in the release.
- Review the catalogue’s document and page tables.
- If a table link opens the project’s source repository, use document search and its native file options to locate a relevant record.
- Search a label such as ledger, or the EFTA identifier already in your notes.
- Compare extracted values with the original row labels, units, dates and sheet structure.
Public catalogue access was available at this review; its Document Pages link redirected to the source repository. A PDF placeholder, extracted text and an original workbook have different capabilities. Do not assume formulas, hidden sheets or formatting survived extraction.

More ways to investigate

Search a second index
Corpus Search
Credit: Tommy Carstensen
Use quoted phrases, Boolean operators and proximity searches to find matching pages.
Public archive
Open toolA search hit does not establish a payment.
How to use & cautions
Carstensen’s search is a useful second index. It supports quoted phrases, AND, OR, NOT, grouping and proximity searches.
- Enter “bank statement” OR invoice.
- Choose a source collection if the result set is too broad.
- Open a matching page, then follow its source reference.
Use the citation resolver for a production stamp rather than guessing a document URL. Search hits locate text; they do not establish a completed payment.
Access: public, noncommercial archive. Credit: Tommy Carstensen. Read EpsteinWiki’s archive guide.

Research a bank
Money Hub
Credit: Tommy Carstensen
Start with the Banks directory or dedicated institution pages and follow their sources.
Public pages
Open toolKeep allegations and findings distinct.
How to use & cautions
The Money hub links the Banks directory and dedicated pages for JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank and Apollo.
- Choose the institution relevant to your question.
- Use the page’s headings or your browser’s Find function for a term such as statement.
- Open the source behind the passage you need.
- Identify whether it is a bank record, pleading, regulator’s finding or later analysis.
These public topic pages help assemble reading lists. A summary or litigation allegation needs its own attribution and should not be silently converted into a court finding. Credit: Tommy Carstensen.

Find a shipment
FedEx Courier Timeline
Credit: Tommy Carstensen
Look up parsed shipping invoices by date, office or city, with linked sources.
Public timeline
Open toolA receipt does not prove package contents.
How to use & cautions
Carstensen’s FedEx timeline organizes parsed shipping invoices with source links.
- Start with a date, office or city. Try Zorro Ranch.
- Locate the matching row in the shipment table.
- Open the linked source and check sender, recipient and date.
The project distinguishes redacted fields from unreadable fields. A receipt does not establish package contents, and OCR can misread names. Use the shipment as a dated lead, then seek independent evidence for any further conclusion.
Access: public timeline. Credit: Tommy Carstensen. Read EpsteinWiki’s courier guide.
Explore financial research
The Projects
Credit: R.S. Taylor & Anne Mitchell
Read methodology, timelines and visualizations, then check the source behind a claim.
Public site · restricted terminal
Open toolResearch terminal requires credentials.
How to use & cautions
The Projects, by R.S. Taylor and Anne Mitchell, publishes financial research, methodology, a timeline and visualizations. Its research database is access controlled.
- Start with the public methodology and data story links.
- Choose the financial timeline or flow diagram for your question.
- Identify the source attached to the specific entry you want to check.
- Read the original record and compare the project’s confidence label with the evidence.
For a first pass, look for a known entity from a document you have already read. Keep independently confirmed observations separate from the project’s classifications and totals.
Access: public site and research descriptions; the linked research terminal requires credentials. This guide does not establish eligibility, approval time or pricing for that terminal. Read EpsteinWiki’s project guide.
Inspect research methods
Financial Forensics
Credit: The Projects · GitHub repository
Read the project’s structure and methods, including how extracted candidates are reviewed.
Public repository
Open toolAll Rights Reserved. Check terms before reuse.
How to use & cautions
The public repository documents the project’s structure and methods. Read the README, then use GitHub’s file finder for methodology or the source appendix template. Compare how the project distinguishes extracted candidates from reviewed records.
The repository’s current notice is All Rights Reserved. Public visibility is not permission to copy its database, narratives or workbooks into another site. Link and credit the project; check its terms before reuse. Reading the repository does not require a GitHub account.

Before you save a finding
Open the original record
Check dates & context
Record what it supports
Open the verification checklist
Each service has its own collection and methods. None is a complete accounting of Epstein’s finances.
- Start with a document identifier, entity name or specific financial phrase.
- Use Tommy Carstensen’s Money tools for topic discovery and Epstein Data for a second search of the underlying records.
- Keep transfers, balances, invoices, estimates, bequests and reported totals separate.
- Read the original page before assigning a payer, payee, currency, date or payment status.
- Record the source and the uncertainty. Leave protected identities and private banking details out of public notes.
- Identify the record. Save its EFTA or other production stamp, exact page, release collection and clean source link.
- Classify the amount. Distinguish a completed debit or credit, request, invoice, balance, valuation, reported aggregate, pledge and bequest.
- Read the direction. A bank’s debit column describes its account holder’s perspective. A return or reversal may offset a prior entry.
- Check dates and units. Keep transaction, value, statement, filing and release dates separate. Preserve the currency and any scale such as thousands.
- Check duplication. A repeated figure, a copy of a statement and a distinct transfer need different treatment.
- Write a narrow conclusion. Explain what the page establishes and what still needs corroboration. Do not infer criminal conduct from a financial relationship.
Use the DOJ Epstein Library to check official release context. Government hosting establishes where a document was released; statements inside it still require interpretation. Searchable OCR may omit handwritten or poorly scanned material.
