Key Takeaways
Ann Rodriguez was not merely a name in Epstein’s address book. She held an operational position at the properties where survivors reported abuse.
The documentary record identifies her as the manager responsible for staff, buildings, guest accommodations, transportation, contractors, supplies, and daily island logistics.
A June 2017 email instructed Rodriguez to prepare separate rooms for two women accompanying Epstein to Little Saint James. The record identifies one as Svetlana while the other name is redacted. The document does not establish their ages or the purpose of the visit.
Epstein paid substantial educational and recreational expenses for Rodriguez’s daughters. Records document school deposits, tuition arrangements, camp payments, travel, boarding school research, and Epstein’s direct involvement in decisions about their education.
A 2023 JPMorgan court filing mentions Rodriguez within a redacted passage concerning plans connected to Epstein’s foreign female associates. The visible text does not establish precisely what Rodriguez planned or whether she participated in visa procurement.
Rodriguez continued managing Little Saint James after Epstein’s death and after Stephen Deckoff purchased Little Saint James and Great Saint James from Epstein’s estate in 2023.
In 2026, Virgin Islands authorities charged Rodriguez with false imprisonment and kidnapping, third degree assault, and destruction of property. Those accusations concern a separate incident involving documentary filmmakers and do not establish Epstein era criminal conduct.
Overview
Ann Rodriguez, whose records indicate that her legal surname is spelled Rodriquez, managed the daily operation of Jeffrey Epstein’s private islands in the United States Virgin Islands.
Her responsibilities extended well beyond ordinary housekeeping. Emails place her inside the system responsible for receiving visitors, preparing guest rooms, supervising staff, coordinating airport and dock transfers, managing contractors, maintaining buildings, ordering supplies, and moving personnel and equipment between Saint Thomas and the islands.
An LSJE personnel record identifies Rodriguez as a manager in EFTA00003150. Her own correspondence regularly involved Epstein, Lesley Groff, Richard Kahn, Daphne Wallace, Karyna Shuliak, Jermaine Ruan, pilots, architects, contractors, household employees, and maritime personnel.
These duties matter because Little Saint James was not simply one of Epstein’s residences. Survivors described it as a location where Epstein isolated and sexually abused girls and young women. The people controlling access, transportation, accommodations, and staffing therefore occupied important operational positions.
That operational importance does not by itself establish knowledge of abuse or participation in trafficking. The evidence must be evaluated document by document.
Identity Verification
The archive contains several variations of Rodriguez’s name. These include Ann Rodriguez, Ann Rodriquez, Anna Rodriguez, and Anna Rodriquez.
In EFTA02226847, Rodriguez clarified that her full name was Leslie Ann M. Rodriquez and emphasized that the surname contained a Q rather than a G. This provides stronger identification than automated name matching.
The Virgin Islands criminal court portal uses the case caption People of the Virgin Islands v. Ann Rodriguez. Other court reporting uses Ann Rodriquez. The spelling difference appears across official and archival sources and should not be treated as evidence of two different people.
She should not be confused with Alfredo Rodriguez, Epstein’s former Palm Beach house manager. The available records do not establish a family relationship between them.
Automated databases report sharply different totals for documents associated with Rodriguez. Those totals may include duplicate productions, quoted email chains, aliases, copied recipients, malformed dates, and unrelated people with similar names. Her importance is established by the substance of the records, not by an automated document count.
Documented Epstein Connection
Island management
Rodriguez served as the on site manager of Epstein’s Virgin Islands properties. Her correspondence shows responsibility for the physical operation of Little Saint James and, after Epstein acquired it, Great Saint James.
The records cover landscaping, guest villas, docks, roads, utility systems, equipment, construction, communications, meals, staff assignments, and transportation.
A 2016 message titled “GSJ: Bike parking” documents her involvement in Great Saint James planning in EFTA02458764.
A December 2017 construction chain concerning both Great Saint James and Little Saint James includes Rodriguez in EFTA02294369.
Additional operational correspondence appears in EFTA01744068, EFTA00495640, and EFTA01183779.
Guest arrivals and accommodations
Rodriguez coordinated island arrivals and helped settle visitors after they reached the Little Saint James dock.
In EFTA02235011, she told arriving visitors that she would meet them at the dock and help them settle in.
The archive also contains airline and travel arrangements involving Rodriguez in EFTA02266558.
The most significant accommodation record is EFTA02216156. On June 16, 2017, Lesley Groff contacted Rodriguez to confirm that two women would accompany Epstein to the island the following day and that each would need a room.
One woman was identified as Svetlana. The other identity is redacted. The email demonstrates Rodriguez’s role in preparing accommodations for Epstein’s guests. It does not establish the women’s ages, whether they were survivors, or whether Rodriguez knew of any sexual purpose.
Maritime transportation
Public records and reporting identify Rodriguez as captain of the Big N Barge. The vessel serviced Epstein’s islands by transporting supplies, equipment, vehicles, contractors, and personnel from Saint Thomas.
This role placed Rodriguez within the transportation infrastructure that made the islands operational. Ferry and arrival coordination appears in EFTA00532046.
The evidence establishes responsibility for maritime logistics. It does not establish that every passenger or cargo movement had an unlawful purpose.
Medical infrastructure
Epstein installed medical equipment on Little Saint James, including dental facilities and an ambulance.
On January 29, 2016, Rodriguez informed Epstein that the island ambulance had arrived in EFTA01789547.
In March 2019, she told the island team that the ambulance was packed and ready to return to Little Saint James and requested a time for moving it to the barge ramp. That exchange appears in EFTA02631724.
These records establish Rodriguez’s operational control over the equipment. They do not establish that the ambulance or medical facilities were used unlawfully.
Epstein’s financial support for her family
The documentary record shows that Epstein paid or authorized substantial educational and recreational expenses for Rodriguez’s daughters.
A 2015 North Broward Preparatory School chain begins with EFTA00860026 and continues through EFTA00860038. The correspondence discusses enrollment deposits and tuition arrangements for both daughters.
In EFTA00703057, EFTA00703058, and EFTA00703059, Rodriguez requested permission to send camp invoices to Richard Kahn for payment. The amount was $5,505 for each child, producing a combined total of $11,010.
A separate camp statement appears in EFTA01121237.
An Admiral Farragut Academy wire arrangement appears in EFTA02404650.
The archive also documents Rodriguez consulting Epstein about therapeutic and residential boarding schools. In EFTA02603491, she provided a list of programs for adolescents and asked Epstein to review the options. Epstein responded with directions about which locations to examine first.
Related education research appears in EFTA01016143, EFTA02609998, EFTA02609999, and EFTA02610000.
By January 2019, Rodriguez was forwarding Piney Woods School enrollment and payment material through Epstein’s administrative network. The relevant chain begins with EFTA01035160 and continues through EFTA01035182.
In EFTA02641004, Rodriguez thanked Epstein for paying school expenses. Epstein replied with a reference to chicken parmesan. The exchange establishes gratitude for financial assistance. It provides no sound basis for treating the food reference as coded language.
These payments created a significant financial relationship between Epstein and Rodriguez’s household. They do not, standing alone, prove that the payments purchased silence or participation in criminal conduct.

Personal language
In EFTA02382316, Rodriguez used affectionate and familiar language while thanking Epstein for helping her family. She referred to him as “Bossman” and used several other informal labels.
This language indicates a relationship that extended beyond a distant employer and employee exchange. It does not establish a familial relationship or prove participation in Epstein’s offenses.

Legal Status and Evidence Limits
Rodriguez has not been convicted of an offense connected to Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking operation. The public records discussed here do not contain a judicial finding that she recruited survivors, arranged sexual encounters, or knowingly transported victims.
No survivor allegation presented in these sources specifically accuses Rodriguez of committing sexual abuse. Her documented importance comes from her management of the physical infrastructure surrounding Epstein’s island operation.
The June 2017 room preparation email is significant because it shows her receiving and acting upon guest accommodation instructions. However, the document does not identify both visitors, establish their ages, or state that the visit involved sexual activity.
JPMorgan’s August 2023 memorandum in the Virgin Islands litigation discusses alleged government assistance with visas and immigration arrangements for Epstein’s foreign female associates. On page 41, the filing mentions Rodriguez writing about unspecified plans. The critical portion is redacted. The visible record cannot support a definitive claim that Rodriguez personally obtained visas or knowingly facilitated trafficking.
The statement in that memorandum was an argument advanced by JPMorgan during contested civil litigation. It was not a criminal charge or a judicial finding against Rodriguez.
The 2026 criminal case is separate from the Epstein investigation. According to probable cause records, Rodriguez admitted pursuing the men, pointing the BB gun, ordering one man aboard, and throwing drone memory cards into the ocean. She is nevertheless presumed innocent unless convicted.
The public Virgin Islands court portal lists case ST 2026 CR 00105 as open. The charges are false imprisonment and kidnapping, third degree assault, and destruction of property.
A separate April 2026 trespassing incident involved Benjamin Owen, Rodriguez’s daughter Emery Poleon, island workers, and Paul J. Arnold III. Authorities charged Owen with trespassing and Arnold with simple assault. That event should not be merged with the March case against Rodriguez.
Claims that ordinary references to pizza, chicken parmesan, gardens, trumpet plants, or landscaping prove coded trafficking communications are unsupported. Such interpretations require independent corroborating evidence and cannot be established by suggestive language alone.
Sleuth and Independent Reporting
Lisa Tait’s Epstein Hyper Focus investigation describes Rodriguez as a structurally important island employee rather than a peripheral social contact. Tait emphasizes the combination of Rodriguez’s longstanding operational role, her correspondence with Epstein, and her continued employment at Little Saint James after the property changed ownership.
Teen Challenge Exposed examined the correspondence about residential schools for Rodriguez’s daughter. That reporting draws attention to Epstein’s direct involvement in educational decisions affecting Rodriguez’s family and to allegations surrounding portions of the troubled teen industry.
The underlying emails establish that Rodriguez asked Epstein to review school options and that Epstein helped direct the process. Broader interpretations concerning coercion, grooming, or trafficking remain analysis rather than proven facts about Rodriguez or her daughters.
Missouri Independent reporting confirmed that Rodriguez sent Epstein a list of five residential schools in August 2018. One was Wings of Faith Academy in Missouri. The reporting also documented abuse allegations made by former students against that institution. Rodriguez ultimately selected a different school.
WTJX reviewed the 2026 probable cause records and reported the allegations surrounding the March boat pursuit, realistic BB gun, restraint, transportation, and destruction of memory cards.
Business Insider subsequently confirmed that Rodriguez continued managing the islands for Stephen Deckoff and reported that the criminal prosecution remained pending in August 2026.
