FBI Tips in the Epstein Investigation: A Master Evidence Index
Snapshot
An FBI investigation briefing reports 291 tips received through the National Threat Operations Center, including 52 anonymous tips. The figure covers that reporting channel in the FBI’s Epstein investigation. It is not a count of every report made to the FBI about Jeffrey Epstein across all years. epstein-data.com
This master index brings individual reports, duplicate copies, and documented FBI responses into one chart. A tip establishes what someone reported to the FBI. It does not establish that the allegation is true.
Key Takeaways
- The FBI briefing says agents followed up on 239 of the 291 NTOC tips and that 27 resulted in secondary contact. Those figures describe recorded activity, not the number of substantiated allegations. epstein-data.com
- Maria Farmer’s 1996 complaint predates the later NTOC investigation and belongs in the broader FBI tips index. It must not be added to the 291 NTOC figure. oversightdemocrats.house.gov
- Several released EFTA documents can reproduce one submission. Copies, attachments, interviews, and later briefing references are grouped under the original tip in the chart below.
- EpsteinWiki already has detailed pages for several records. This master chart links to those pages without requiring a new article for every tip.
Master Tip Chart
| Report date | Report and subject | Original evidence | Related records and duplicate review | Documented response |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| September 1996 | Maria Farmer reported concerns about photographs of minors and threats by Epstein. This predates the NTOC count. | EFTA00006107 | EFTA02730468 later refers to the 1996 FD 71. It is a later reference, not a new tip. | The cited intake establishes receipt. A complete contemporaneous response is not established by these records. |
| July 2020 | A complainant submitted allegations concerning Epstein and events the complainant placed in Michigan in 1984. | EFTA01249693 through EFTA01249698 | The complainant described an August submission as a follow up to this earlier report. See the EpsteinWiki evidence article. | The cited intake does not establish whether the allegations were corroborated. |
| July 21, 2020 | A public tip proposed that the Reddit account u/maxwellhill might belong to Ghislaine Maxwell. | EFTA01245108 | Screenshots appear in the same intake package, including EFTA01245115. See the EpsteinWiki analysis. The screenshots are attachments, not additional tips. | The released intake does not establish who operated the account or show a conclusive FBI finding. |
| August 2, 2020 | A caller alleged that stolen artwork entered Epstein’s estate and made related grooming claims. | EFTA00020462 through EFTA00020469 | See the existing EpsteinWiki evidence page. The pages form one intake package. | The intake records the claim. The cited package alone does not establish the alleged theft or grooming. |
| August 3, 2020 | The Michigan complainant submitted a follow up naming additional people and asking for further contact. | EFTA00025326 | EFTA00025010 is a parallel copy with matching submission details. It is not another August 3 tip. See the EpsteinWiki evidence article. | No corroborating interview, finding, or disposition appears in the cited intake package. |
| October 2020 | Simon Andriesz reported alleged financial misconduct involving Howard Lutnick’s businesses and raised a possible Epstein connection. | EFTA00020515 | EFTA01249205 is a parallel intake copy. EFTA01249210 requires reconciliation of its contact and processing dates. | The FBI interviewed Andriesz by telephone on February 16, 2021, as recorded in EFTA01249207. The interview does not verify his allegations. |
| October 9, 2020 | A caller described an alleged gathering in Palm Beach around Christmas 2000 involving people the caller associated with Epstein. | EFTA00020508 | See the existing EpsteinWiki evidence page. | The cited intake documents the call, not verification of the reported gathering or attendance. |
The July and August Michigan submissions are two dated contacts in one reporting thread. The August 3 parallel copies remain one submission. The Andriesz records likewise require comparison of their intake and processing fields before assigning a final count to every contact. EPSTEIN WIKI
How This Index Counts Records
Each dated submission receives one entry. An original form, a second released copy, an attachment, an FBI interview, and a later summary can all link to that entry. A later contact by the same person receives another entry when the intake establishes a separate submission date.
This rule prevents the number of EFTA pages from being mistaken for the number of tips. It also preserves meaningful follow up. For example, the Andriesz interview is evidence that an agent spoke with the reporting person, while the initial intake records the earlier report. They serve different purposes. epstein-data.com
The August 2025 NTOC Names compilation is a selection of complaint summaries prepared for internal review. It is not a complete list of the 291 NTOC tips. EpsteinWiki’s existing document article explains its response columns, repeated entries, and limitations. epsteinwiki.com
Evidence Status
Every chart row distinguishes three questions:
- Was the report received? An authenticated intake form can establish that.
- Did the FBI act on it? An interview, referral, records request, or disposition must be linked separately.
- Was the allegation established? That requires evidence beyond the fact that a tip was submitted.
A person named by a caller was not necessarily an FBI suspect. A report placed in an Epstein case file was not necessarily found credible. Where the released record provides no answer about follow up, this index says so rather than assuming that agents did nothing.
Privacy and Scope
The public chart omits identifying details about people who reported possible abuse. It uses the name of Maria Farmer because she has publicly identified herself. It does not reproduce contact information, private names exposed by a release error, or graphic details unnecessary to understand a record.
The chart above is the first verified set of entries, not all 291 NTOC tips. The remaining work is to reconcile individual intake forms against transaction numbers, FBI serials, the internal compilations, and later interview records. The 1996 complaint and any other older reports must be tracked separately from the NTOC total.
Evidence Appearances
- EFTA00161426: FBI briefing reporting the NTOC totals.
- EFTA00006107: Maria Farmer’s 1996 FBI complaint.
- EFTA01249693 and EFTA00025326: Earlier and later contacts in the Michigan reporting thread.
- EFTA01245108: Intake for the
maxwellhillsubmission. - EFTA00020462: Opening page of the artwork and grooming allegation package.
- EFTA00020515 and EFTA01249207: Andriesz intake and FBI interview.
- EFTA00020508: Palm Beach gathering allegation.
- EFTA01660651: Later internal compilation of selected NTOC reports.
Questions That Remain
- Which original intake form corresponds to each entry in the FBI’s count of 291 NTOC tips?
- Which released files are duplicate copies of the same submission?
- Which tips have interviews, referrals, or closing records elsewhere in the case files?
- How many older FD 71 reports fall outside the NTOC count?
- Which intake records remain redacted or unavailable in the public release?
