Woody Allen

Snapshot

Woody Allen, born Allan Stewart Konigsberg, is an American filmmaker, writer, actor, and comedian whose career spans more than six decades.

Released records document an extensive social relationship between Allen, his wife Soon Yi Previn, and Jeffrey Epstein. The surviving evidence includes emails, text messages, calendars, dinner invitations, photographs, film related arrangements, favors involving Allen’s family, and private aircraft records.

Allen has said that he and Previn first met Epstein at a December 2010 dinner attended by Prince Andrew. This was after Epstein’s 2008 Florida conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

The relationship became regular. Epstein and Allen lived near one another on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, exchanged invitations, attended dinners, discussed films, and communicated through Epstein’s assistants. Epstein was invited to private film screenings and editing sessions, visited Allen’s film sets, and helped arrange personal or institutional favors requested on behalf of Allen’s family.

Flight records document Allen travelling aboard Epstein controlled aircraft on nine flight segments between March 2012 and March 2014. Previn accompanied him on most or all of these trips. Destinations included Paris, Palm Beach, New Mexico, and New York.

The correspondence continued until shortly before Epstein’s July 2019 arrest. A June 21, 2019 message from Allen discussed travel in Belgium and a visit to the Magritte Museum.

The public evidence establishes a sustained post conviction social relationship. It does not establish that Allen participated in Epstein’s trafficking operation, sexually abused an Epstein survivor, or knew the full extent of Epstein’s crimes.

No publicly identified Epstein survivor has accused Allen of participating in Epstein’s abuse. Allen has not been charged with an Epstein related offense.

Scope and Classification of the Evidence

The Allen record includes several kinds of evidence that must be distinguished from one another.

A calendar entry proves that an event was scheduled. It does not necessarily prove that every invited person attended.

An email proves that a particular account sent or received a message. It may not prove who physically typed the message, especially where Allen and Previn appear to have used shared or overlapping communication channels.

A flight manifest or pilot record provides stronger evidence of completed travel than an invitation or proposed itinerary.

A photograph establishes that people were together when the image was taken. It does not establish what they knew about one another’s private conduct.

A news report can connect multiple documents and provide context, but it should be checked against the underlying records whenever those records are available.

The Justice Department’s Epstein Library is a central government repository for released records. The department reported publishing approximately 3.5 million responsive pages during its 2026 disclosure process in its official release announcement.

The direct EFTA records linked throughout this article remain the primary documentary evidence.

Woody Allen’s Public Identity

Allen was born in Brooklyn in 1935 and became internationally known through stand up comedy, screenwriting, directing, acting, fiction, and music.

His filmography includes Annie Hall, Manhattan, Hannah and Her Sisters, Crimes and Misdemeanors, Midnight in Paris, and Blue Jasmine. A general account of his career is available through Encyclopaedia Britannica.

Allen married Soon Yi Previn in 1997. They have two adopted daughters, Bechet and Manzie Tio.

His relationship with Previn, his history with Mia Farrow, and Dylan Farrow’s separate sexual abuse allegation have produced decades of controversy. Those matters must not be merged with the evidence concerning Epstein unless a document directly connects them.

The December 2010 Introduction

Allen has said that he first met Epstein at a dinner in December 2010.

According to Allen’s later account, the dinner included Prince Andrew and took place after Epstein had completed his Florida sentence. Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to state charges that included soliciting prostitution from a minor.

A January 2011 message, EFTA01612361, records Epstein discussing hosting Allen. The document supports the conclusion that social contact was already developing shortly after the reported first meeting.

The available evidence therefore does not support describing Allen as a documented Epstein associate before Epstein’s conviction. The clear documentary relationship begins after that conviction.

This timing is important because Epstein’s criminal status was publicly knowable by the time Allen and Previn began socializing with him.

Upper East Side Neighbors

Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse stood at 9 East 71st Street. Allen and Previn lived nearby.

The short distance between their homes helped make dinners, screenings, and informal visits convenient. Allen later described the relationship as substantially based on proximity and Epstein’s hospitality.

Released schedules show repeated planning for meals involving Allen and Previn. Among the relevant records are EFTA01922437, EFTA01924428, EFTA01925286, EFTA01927126, and EFTA01927613.

Additional scheduling records include EFTA01928600, EFTA01928836, EFTA01928873, EFTA01929464, and EFTA01930314.

The number and repetition of these records show that the relationship was not limited to a single introduction.

The Dinner Chronology

Epstein’s records contain recurring references to dinners with Allen and Previn across several years.

The evidence includes direct invitations, assistant reminders, calendar entries, and follow up messages. Relevant records include:

  1. EFTA01932985
  2. EFTA01933597
  3. EFTA01934156
  4. EFTA01936873
  5. EFTA01938160
  6. EFTA01938965
  7. EFTA01939401
  8. EFTA01939870
  9. EFTA01941270
  10. EFTA01941957
  11. EFTA01942116
  12. EFTA01942591
  13. EFTA01943265
  14. EFTA01943631
  15. EFTA01945748
  16. EFTA01948381
  17. EFTA01948503
  18. EFTA01949907
  19. EFTA02040750
  20. EFTA02043869

CBS News reported that the released schedules contained nearly one hundred planned interactions involving Epstein, Allen, or Previn between 2014 and 2019. The count includes proposed meals and other scheduled contacts, not necessarily one hundred independently confirmed completed meetings. The underlying findings are summarized in the CBS investigation, Jeffrey Epstein’s celebrity relationships revealed through documents.

The frequency of the entries nevertheless supports describing Allen and Previn as recurring members of Epstein’s Manhattan social circle.

The Charlie Rose Dinner Invitation

One released message records an invitation involving Allen, Previn, and broadcaster Charlie Rose.

EFTA02045221 contains the relevant dinner communication.

The record proves that a dinner involving the named people was proposed or scheduled. Unless supported by a follow up message, photograph, or contemporaneous attendance record, it should not automatically be described as a confirmed completed dinner.

The entry illustrates Epstein’s use of meals to connect people from entertainment, media, academia, finance, and politics.

Epstein Used Allen as Social Capital

Epstein invoked Allen’s name when inviting other people to gatherings.

In EFTA01903118, Epstein encouraged Italian executive Eduardo Teodorani Fabbri to bring a woman to Paris and referred to the possibility of meeting “Woody.” The message misspelled Allen’s surname.

In EFTA01945651, Epstein invited Teodorani to the Caribbean during Christmas and said that Woody Allen would attend.

These messages establish that Epstein presented access to Allen as an attraction for other guests.

They do not establish that Allen approved the invitations, knew how Epstein was using his name, or attended every proposed gathering.

The distinction matters because Epstein frequently used the names of prominent associates to strengthen invitations and encourage introductions.

Nine Documented Flight Segments

Released aircraft records identify Allen on nine flight segments aboard Epstein controlled aircraft between 2012 and 2014.

The principal released flight material is available as EFTA00011669.

The documented segments are:

  1. March 17, 2012, New York John F. Kennedy International Airport to Paris Le Bourget aboard N908JE.
  2. February 16, 2013, Teterboro Airport to Palm Beach aboard N909JE.
  3. February 18, 2013, Palm Beach to Teterboro.
  4. March 21, 2013, Teterboro to Paris Le Bourget.
  5. March 31, 2013, Paris Le Bourget to Bangor, Maine.
  6. December 27, 2013, Long Beach, California, to Palm Beach.
  7. January 1, 2014, Palm Beach to Teterboro.
  8. March 23, 2014, Oakland, California, to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
  9. March 26, 2014, Albuquerque to Teterboro.

Previn appears with Allen on the documented travel. Former Treasury Secretary and Harvard president Larry Summers was recorded on the February 2013 Palm Beach trip.

These are completed flight records rather than proposed invitations. They provide some of the strongest evidence of the practical benefits Allen and Previn received through their relationship with Epstein.

A flight record does not establish misconduct during the trip or prove that every passenger knew about Epstein’s concealed activities.

The Paris Trips

The records document Allen and Previn travelling to Paris aboard Epstein’s aircraft.

The March 2012 journey coincided with film related activity. EFTA01616882 contains a March 2012 invitation connected with a film screening.

The March 2013 journey involved further social and cultural arrangements. Reporting based on Epstein’s calendars indicates that the group received access to a private Hermès workshop visit while in Paris.

EFTA02035690 contains material concerning a Paris premiere. Related scheduling appears in EFTA02036370, EFTA02038909, and EFTA02039141.

These records show Epstein participating in the logistics surrounding Allen’s European film and social activities.

They do not establish that Epstein financed the films or exercised creative control over Allen’s work.

Palm Beach Travel

Allen and Previn travelled to Palm Beach on Epstein’s aircraft in February and December 2013.

The February trip included Larry Summers. A released photograph shows Allen, Previn, Epstein, and Summers aboard an aircraft.

The December 2013 trip began in Long Beach, California, and continued to Palm Beach before the group returned to the New York area on January 1, 2014.

The flight records prove travel on Epstein controlled aircraft. They do not by themselves establish precisely where the passengers stayed, what occurred at a residence, or whether Allen encountered any Epstein survivor.

No publicly identified survivor has alleged that Allen abused her during these trips.

The New Mexico Trip

In March 2014, Allen and Previn flew from Oakland to Albuquerque and later returned to Teterboro.

Epstein owned the Zorro Ranch property in New Mexico. The flight destination therefore creates a reasonable possibility that the trip involved the ranch, but an airport record alone does not conclusively establish where every passenger stayed after landing.

The documentary evidence should be described as travel to Albuquerque unless a separate itinerary, photograph, staff record, or communication confirms presence at the ranch.

This is an important example of the distinction between a flight destination and proof of activity at a particular property.

The Proposed Utah Trip

A 2016 message discussed a possible trip to Utah.

EFTA01622402 contains the travel discussion along with personal birthday messages.

The available record establishes that a trip was contemplated. It does not establish that Allen, Previn, and Epstein completed the journey.

Researchers should not add the Utah proposal to the nine completed flight segments unless an authenticated manifest or comparable travel record is located.

Private Film Screenings

Epstein received invitations to screenings associated with Allen’s films.

EFTA01616882 records a March 2012 invitation. EFTA02039141 documents a later attempt to coordinate a screening.

Other scheduling records, including EFTA02035690 and EFTA02036370, place Epstein within film related planning.

Access to private screenings indicates a relationship extending beyond ordinary neighborhood dinners. Epstein was being included in professional or semiprofessional spaces connected with Allen’s work.

The records do not show that Epstein had a formal production credit or financed the films.

Editing Sessions

Reporting based on Epstein’s schedules indicates that Epstein attended private editing sessions while Allen was completing films.

An editing session provides access to unfinished creative work that is ordinarily unavailable to the public. This suggests Allen regarded Epstein as a sufficiently trusted social acquaintance to be present during parts of the filmmaking process.

The records should not be interpreted as proof that Epstein made creative decisions. Presence at an editing session is different from employment as an editor, producer, or financier.

The distinction is important because the relationship offered Epstein cultural prestige without necessarily giving him a formal role in the production.

Visits to Film Sets

Epstein and members of his staff arranged visits to Allen’s film sets.

EFTA02042050 contains a message asking when Epstein planned to visit the set. EFTA01874757 contains information about filming dates.

Related logistical records include EFTA02041231 and EFTA02042444.

The records support the conclusion that Epstein’s access was known to assistants and incorporated into production related scheduling.

A set visit does not establish a production position, financial investment, or participation in casting decisions. It does demonstrate privileged access resulting from the relationship.

Women From Epstein’s Circle as Film Extras

Released emails show Epstein’s assistants coordinating with Allen’s production environment about women who could appear as extras.

EFTA02042685 includes a request for a woman’s shoe size. EFTA02041309 records instructions for an extra to report at 6 in the morning.

EFTA00317978 contains further information associated with an extra. Additional coordination appears in EFTA02041231 and EFTA02042444.

These messages establish that Epstein’s staff helped arrange opportunities for women in his circle to appear in an Allen production.

They do not establish that the women were minors, trafficking victims, or selected for a sexual purpose. They also do not establish that Allen personally knew the women’s relationship with Epstein.

The episode remains significant because it shows that the social relationship crossed into practical access to Allen’s production environment.

The Casting Director Introduction

Epstein introduced someone within his network to Allen casting director Patricia DiCerto.

The introduction is preserved in EFTA01738472.

The record supports the conclusion that Epstein could facilitate contact with a professional involved in Allen’s casting process.

An introduction is not the same as a completed audition, employment decision, or casting selection. The document does not establish that Allen instructed Epstein to recruit performers or that Epstein controlled casting.

It does show that Epstein used his relationship with Allen to offer entertainment industry access.

The Search for a Young Adult Performer

Media reporting on the released correspondence describes a 2017 search involving a “beautiful” female college student between the ages of 20 and 24 for a small film role.

The specified range described adults. The available reporting does not establish that the search involved a minor or an Epstein survivor.

The episode has been reported by The Irish Times as part of the larger Allen and Epstein correspondence.

Without the complete underlying chain, it is necessary to distinguish an inquiry, a referral, and a completed casting decision. The public evidence establishes that a possible candidate was sought. It does not establish that the woman was hired or that Allen personally directed Epstein to locate her.

Irrational Man and Wonder Wheel

Reporting has connected Epstein’s access to the production periods surrounding Irrational Man and Wonder Wheel.

The evidence includes filming schedules, proposed set visits, assistant coordination, and efforts to place women as extras.

The documents establish access to the social and logistical edges of the productions. They do not establish that Epstein financed either film, received a production credit, controlled casting, or influenced the films’ content.

Descriptions should therefore avoid calling Epstein a producer or casting agent for Allen.

The White House Visit

Epstein helped arrange a White House visit for Allen and Previn in December 2015.

EFTA01621773 contains the relevant planning. Epstein contacted attorney Kathryn Ruemmler, who had served as White House counsel under President Barack Obama, for assistance.

The visit occurred on December 27, 2015, while Obama was in Hawaii. The evidence therefore supports a private tour or visit, not a meeting with the president.

The Associated Press examined the relationship and the White House arrangements in its investigation of Allen, Previn, and Epstein.

The episode demonstrates Epstein’s ability to obtain institutional access through his contacts. It does not establish wrongdoing by Allen, Previn, Ruemmler, or White House personnel.

The Proposed Downing Street Visit

Released communications also describe efforts to arrange access to 10 Downing Street.

The available reporting indicates that Epstein explored whether Allen and Previn could visit the British prime minister’s official residence.

Unlike the White House visit, the public record reviewed for this article does not conclusively establish that the Downing Street visit occurred.

The proposal is discussed in The Guardian’s reporting on Allen and Previn’s Epstein correspondence.

This should be classified as attempted or contemplated access unless a completed visitor record is located.

Bard College and Bechet Allen

Correspondence shows Epstein assisting with communications concerning Bechet Allen’s application to Bard College.

EFTA01742169 contains Bard related correspondence. In EFTA01208496, Previn thanked Epstein for helping.

Bard has said that Bechet was admitted on her merits and that intervention from Epstein was not needed to secure her admission.

The records therefore establish that Epstein offered assistance, communicated about the application, and received thanks. They do not establish that Bard admitted Bechet because of Epstein.

Coverage of the documents appears in GV Wire and The Irish Times.

The episode remains evidence that Allen and Previn were willing to seek or accept Epstein’s help in a matter involving their daughter.

The Hewitt School Donation

Reporting based on released records describes a $15,000 payment connected with the Hewitt School, which Allen and Previn’s daughter Manzie attended.

The request was apparently made through an Allen associated account, but the language referred to Allen in the third person. This suggests that Previn may have authored the communication.

Epstein supplied the money, and the school later returned it after his relationship with the institution became an issue.

The episode is documented in New York Magazine’s report on Epstein’s $15,000 gift.

The records establish a financial favor involving the family and the school. They do not establish that Allen personally wrote every message, that the donation purchased a diploma, or that the daughter participated in wrongdoing.

Poetry in America

Epstein also facilitated contact involving Allen and Elisa New’s educational project Poetry in America.

The released correspondence indicates that Epstein helped broker Allen’s participation in a recorded discussion or interview and later became involved in questions concerning permission to release the material.

This episode shows Epstein operating as a connector between cultural figures and academic or media projects.

It does not establish that Epstein created, financed, or editorially controlled the series.

The documentary value lies in another instance where Epstein’s social relationship with Allen produced access that Epstein could extend to someone else.

Soon Yi Previn’s Correspondence

A large portion of the released Allen related correspondence appears to involve Previn directly.

Some messages discuss dinners, travel, family matters, schools, gifts, and social invitations. Others refer to “Woody” in the third person even though they were transmitted through an account associated with Allen.

For example, EFTA01612148 discusses a restaurant and photographs while referring to Woody in the third person. This makes Previn a more likely author, although the account metadata alone may not conclusively establish who typed it.

A September 2013 message from Epstein to Previn appears in EFTA01133319.

The author distinction matters. A message sent from a shared household account should not automatically be quoted as Allen’s personal statement when its wording indicates Previn may have written it.

Shared Accounts and Authorship Problems

The Allen archive illustrates a common evidentiary problem within Epstein’s records.

An email address may be registered to one person but used by a spouse, assistant, or household employee. Forwarded chains can also separate the visible sender from the original author.

Researchers should examine:

  1. Whether the message refers to Allen as “I” or “Woody.”
  2. Whether it refers to Previn as “I,” “Soon Yi,” or “my wife.”
  3. Whether an assistant is copied.
  4. Whether the signature identifies an author.
  5. Whether surrounding messages clarify who was travelling or requesting the favor.

Where authorship remains uncertain, the safest description is that the message came from an Allen associated account.

Discussions of Public Scandal

The relationship developed while Allen and Epstein were both subjects of intense public controversy.

Released correspondence shows that Epstein and members of Allen’s household discussed press treatment, allegations, public rehabilitation, and the changing cultural climate.

Allen later said that Epstein believed he had been treated unfairly and presented his Florida case as involving an older teenager rather than the broader conduct later documented through federal prosecution and survivor accounts.

That claim reflects what Allen says Epstein told him. It does not accurately summarize the full public record concerning Epstein’s abuse.

The relationship is notable partly because Allen and Previn continued accepting Epstein’s hospitality and assistance after his conviction was publicly known.

Previn’s Comments About the MeToo Movement

Reporting on the released correspondence describes Previn making disparaging comments about the MeToo movement and discussing figures including former congressman Anthony Weiner.

These messages provide context for the shared conversations taking place within the relationship. They do not establish participation in Epstein’s crimes.

The correspondence is discussed in The Guardian’s report on Previn and Epstein.

Statements made in private correspondence should be attributed to the documented author and not automatically presented as Allen’s views.

Epstein’s 2016 Birthday Letter

Allen contributed a message to a privately assembled collection created for Epstein’s birthday in 2016.

The letter compared visiting Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse to visiting “Castle Dracula.” Allen described a household in which young women served guests and created an atmosphere of unusual deference around Epstein.

The letter was written humorously, but it is important because it records Allen’s personal perception of Epstein’s residence and social environment.

The letter did not state that the women were minors, trafficking victims, or being held against their will. It does show that Allen noticed the gendered service structure surrounding Epstein and found it distinctive enough to make the central subject of his birthday message.

The letter and related materials were reported by The Guardian, Time, and The New York Times.

The Kate Upton Birthday Joke

EFTA01622402 contains a birthday message in which Allen joked about sending model Kate Upton to Epstein by FedEx.

The statement was a joke rather than evidence that Upton was contacted, shipped anywhere, or involved with Epstein.

The message remains relevant because it reflects the sexualized humor used within the relationship and Allen’s apparent understanding of Epstein’s interest in attractive women.

Kate Upton should not be described as an Epstein participant on the basis of this joke.

Gifts and Hospitality

The relationship included meals, travel, cultural access, favors, and gifts.

Epstein supplied aircraft travel, hosted dinners, assisted with school related matters, arranged institutional access, and invited Allen and Previn into a broader network of influential people.

Allen and Previn reciprocated through dinners, film access, personal messages, cultural introductions, and continuing companionship.

This pattern supports describing the relationship as mutually social and useful. It was not limited to accidental encounters between neighbors.

The available evidence does not establish that Allen paid Epstein for these benefits or entered a formal business arrangement with him.

Photographs of Allen and Epstein

Released photographs show Allen with Epstein in social settings.

A House Oversight release includes a photograph indexed as House Oversight 083517.

EpsteinWiki has also catalogued Photograph of Jeffrey Epstein and Woody Allen, image 066497.

Additional released images show Allen on or near a film set with Epstein and place the men together during private gatherings.

Photographs establish physical proximity on specific occasions. They do not establish what Allen knew about Epstein’s criminal conduct.

Major coverage of the photographic releases includes reports from ABC News, Associated Press, PBS NewsHour, and Time.

The Aircraft Photograph With Larry Summers

One released image shows Epstein, Allen, Previn, and Larry Summers aboard an aircraft.

The photograph corroborates flight records placing them together during the February 2013 Palm Beach travel.

This combination of a manifest and a photograph is stronger evidence of completed travel than either a proposed itinerary or an unconfirmed calendar entry.

The image does not establish that Summers or Allen knew about criminal conduct occurring elsewhere within Epstein’s network.

The “Woody Allen Archive” Hard Drive

An FBI evidence inventory contains an entry labelled “Woody Allen Archive.”

The reference appears in EFTA00037551. The item was a hard drive recovered during the Epstein investigation.

The inventory reportedly classified the drive as not relevant to the Southern District of New York prosecution.

The label alone does not reveal its complete contents. It may have contained publicly available films, private screening material, recordings, photographs, correspondence, or another form of media.

It does not establish that the drive contained illegal material or evidence of misconduct by Allen.

A detailed discussion of the evidentiary problem appears in Duggan USA’s Woody Allen example for searching the Epstein files.

Criminal Trial Preparation Material

Allen’s relationship with Epstein appeared in material associated with federal trial preparation.

EFTA00040083 includes a reference to the friendship or association.

The presence of Allen’s name in a prosecution record does not mean prosecutors accused him of a crime. Witness and association lists routinely contain people relevant to chronology, corroboration, background, photographs, or potential testimony.

No publicly identified federal charge connected Allen to Epstein’s trafficking offenses.

Epstein’s Address Book

Public indexes of Epstein’s contact books identify Allen and Previn as contacts.

An address book entry establishes that Epstein or his staff maintained contact information. Standing alone, it does not prove the frequency, nature, or legality of the relationship.

In Allen’s case, the address book evidence is corroborated by direct correspondence, flight records, photographs, and calendar entries.

This combination distinguishes Allen from people whose names appear only once in a contact list.

Independent research profiles include Woody Allen’s Epstein Exposed entry and Soon Yi Previn’s Epstein Exposed entry. These profiles are research indexes rather than judicial findings.

Direct Messages in 2018

Released records show that communication continued through 2018.

A number of dinner and scheduling chains from this period document regular contact through assistants and personal accounts. The evidence includes EFTA01941270, EFTA01941957, EFTA01942591, and EFTA01943631.

The records show that Epstein remained socially welcome within Allen and Previn’s orbit years after the Florida conviction.

They do not show that Allen had access to sealed investigative files or knew the full scale of the trafficking allegations later brought by federal prosecutors.

The June 2019 Restaurant Message

EFTA01612148 contains a June 2019 exchange concerning a restaurant and photographs.

The message refers to “Woody” in the third person, making Previn a more likely author than Allen.

The record demonstrates continued household contact with Epstein only weeks before his arrest.

It should not be quoted as a personal Allen statement without acknowledging the authorship issue.

Allen’s June 21, 2019 Message

One of the latest direct communications is EFTA01621181.

In the June 21, 2019 message, Allen discussed being in Belgium and visiting the Magritte Museum. The exchange was friendly and ordinary in tone.

Epstein was arrested on July 6, 2019.

The message demonstrates that direct contact continued approximately two weeks before the arrest. It is later than the last widely reported dinner and is therefore important when identifying the final known documentary contact.

The Last Documented Dinner

Media reporting identifies May 9, 2019, as the last known dinner involving Epstein, Allen, and Previn before Epstein’s arrest.

A scheduled dinner is not automatically a confirmed completed event, but the reporting treats this gathering as having occurred.

The June 21 message establishes that communication continued after the May dinner.

The most accurate formulation is therefore that the last publicly reported dinner occurred in May 2019, while the latest identified direct message dates from June 21, 2019.

Allen’s Public Explanation

Allen has publicly described Epstein as charming, personable, and a good host.

In a later interview, Allen said he did not regret attending dinners with Epstein and maintained that he never saw Epstein engage in improper conduct. He said he did not see underage girls at the dinners he attended.

Allen also said Epstein portrayed his Florida conviction as unjust and minimized the underlying conduct.

Allen’s account is reported in The Sunday Times.

This is Allen’s explanation of his own experience. It cannot establish what occurred outside his presence or what information he could reasonably have learned from public reporting.

Epstein’s Conviction Was Publicly Knowable

By the time Allen says he met Epstein in December 2010, Epstein’s 2008 conviction and incarceration were matters of public record.

The relationship therefore cannot be described as one formed before Allen had any possible notice that Epstein was a convicted sex offender.

The harder factual question is what Allen actually knew about the scale of Epstein’s abuse, his use of recruiters, or the details of the non prosecution agreement.

The available documents do not answer that question conclusively.

Allen’s decision to continue socializing with Epstein after knowing at least the general nature of the conviction is documented. Knowledge of the full trafficking operation is not.

The Dylan Farrow Allegation Is Separate

Dylan Farrow has accused Allen of sexually abusing her in 1992, when she was seven. Allen has consistently denied the allegation.

Connecticut authorities investigated. Allen was not criminally charged. The prosecutor later said he believed probable cause existed but declined prosecution, citing concerns about the effect of a trial on Dylan.

The allegation remains separate from the Epstein evidence.

No public record reviewed for this article establishes that Epstein participated in the alleged 1992 incident, influenced the investigation, or connected Allen with Dylan Farrow.

Likewise, the existence of the Farrow allegation does not prove that Allen participated in Epstein’s crimes. Each evidentiary record must be assessed independently.

No Public Epstein Survivor Allegation Against Allen

No publicly identified Epstein survivor has accused Allen of sexually abusing her through Epstein’s network.

The released records do not identify Allen as a customer of Epstein’s trafficking operation, a recruiter of minors, or a participant in Maxwell’s criminal conspiracy.

Allen has not been charged with an Epstein related offense.

These facts do not erase the documented social relationship. They define its evidentiary limits.

The strongest defensible conclusion is that Allen and Previn maintained a close and useful social association with Epstein after his conviction, not that the public record proves Allen participated in Epstein’s sexual crimes.

What the Evidence Establishes

The available evidence establishes that:

  1. Allen says he first met Epstein at a December 2010 dinner attended by Prince Andrew.
  2. The documented relationship began after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.
  3. Allen and Previn lived near Epstein on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
  4. Epstein’s calendars contain repeated dinners and social plans involving Allen and Previn.
  5. The relationship continued through 2019.
  6. Allen travelled on Epstein controlled aircraft on nine documented flight segments between 2012 and 2014.
  7. The travel included Paris, Palm Beach, New Mexico, and New York.
  8. Previn accompanied Allen on the documented trips.
  9. Larry Summers travelled with the group during the February 2013 Palm Beach trip.
  10. A photograph corroborates their presence together aboard an aircraft.
  11. Epstein received access to private screenings and film related activities.
  12. Epstein or his staff arranged visits to Allen’s film sets.
  13. Epstein’s assistants coordinated opportunities for women to work as film extras.
  14. The available extras records do not identify those women as minors.
  15. Epstein introduced a contact to Allen casting director Patricia DiCerto.
  16. Epstein helped arrange a White House visit for Allen and Previn in December 2015.
  17. President Obama was not present for that visit.
  18. Epstein explored a possible Downing Street visit.
  19. Epstein assisted with communications concerning Bechet Allen’s Bard College application.
  20. Bard said Bechet was admitted on her merits and did not need Epstein’s intervention.
  21. Epstein supplied a $15,000 donation connected with the Hewitt School.
  22. Allen contributed a 2016 birthday letter comparing Epstein’s home to “Castle Dracula.”
  23. The letter described young women serving Epstein’s guests.
  24. The letter did not identify the women as minors or trafficking victims.
  25. Allen sent a joke about delivering Kate Upton to Epstein by FedEx.
  26. The joke does not establish any involvement by Upton.
  27. Epstein invoked Allen’s name while inviting other people to Paris and the Caribbean.
  28. Photographs show Allen and Epstein together.
  29. An FBI inventory listed a hard drive labelled “Woody Allen Archive.”
  30. The inventory reportedly marked the drive as not relevant to the federal prosecution.
  31. Messages from Allen associated accounts may sometimes have been written by Previn.
  32. Allen communicated directly with Epstein on June 21, 2019.
  33. Epstein was arrested approximately two weeks later.

What the Evidence Does Not Establish

The available evidence does not establish that:

  2. Allen participated in Epstein’s trafficking conspiracy.
  3. Allen sexually abused an Epstein survivor.
  4. Every scheduled dinner occurred.
  5. Every person listed on an invitation attended.
  6. Allen visited every Epstein property mentioned in proposed travel.
  7. The Albuquerque flight alone proves that Allen stayed at Zorro Ranch.
  8. The proposed Utah trip occurred.

  23. The proposed Downing Street visit occurred.
  24. Kate Upton was contacted or involved merely because Allen mentioned her in a joke.
  25. The Dylan Farrow allegation proves involvement in Epstein’s crimes.
  26. Allen’s absence from criminal charges proves that every aspect of the relationship was fully investigated.

Investigative Assessment

Allen and Previn were not incidental names in Epstein’s records.

The combination of flights, dinners, photographs, film access, family favors, direct communications, birthday messages, and institutional introductions establishes a sustained relationship extending from late 2010 until immediately before Epstein’s 2019 arrest.

The timing is central. The friendship developed after Epstein was a publicly identified convicted sex offender. Allen has acknowledged knowing about the conviction but says Epstein minimized it and that he never witnessed improper conduct.

Epstein benefited from the relationship. Allen’s name gave Epstein cultural legitimacy, access to film environments, and another prominent figure he could mention when recruiting guests to dinners or international gatherings.

Allen and Previn also benefited. They received private aircraft travel, hospitality, school related assistance, institutional access, and help coordinating personal or professional opportunities.

The film extras correspondence deserves scrutiny because it shows women from Epstein’s network entering Allen’s production environment. The currently available documents do not establish that the women were minors or victims, or that Allen knew anything improper about their relationship with Epstein.

The most supportable characterization is that Allen and Previn were recurring post conviction social associates of Epstein whose relationship was substantially closer and more useful than an occasional neighborhood acquaintance.

The present public record does not support converting that documented association into a finding that Allen participated in Epstein’s trafficking crimes.
