| Known criminal accusation against Celina | None established |
- Celina Edith Dubin is a physician and the daughter of Glenn Dubin and Eva Andersson-Dubin. The Dubin Family Foundation biography records her Harvard graduation in 2017 and medical degree in 2022.
- The January 18, 2019 trust visibly names her in property, operating-fund, and residual-estate provisions. Those conditional provisions are not evidence that she received the assets.
- Business Insider reported marriage remarks attributed to Epstein. They do not establish Celina’s agreement or a romantic relationship.
- The Celina Dubin United Fund’s tax return documents a charitable grant and a return of unspent funds. It does not establish a personal payment to Celina.
- The public record requires separate treatment of Epstein’s intentions, family responses, visible documents, and researchers’ interpretations. Association, a proposed bequest, or a photograph does not establish criminal conduct by Celina.
Identity and Family Context
Celina’s mother, Eva Andersson-Dubin, previously dated Epstein. She later married Glenn Dubin in 1994, but remained socially connected to Epstein.
In her December 17, 2021 trial testimony, Eva described an uncle-like relationship between Epstein and her children. The linked transcript transcription records that account; it is evidence of her testimony, not independent confirmation of every interaction.
Celina was a child when that relationship developed. The choices made by adults about Epstein’s access to the household cannot responsibly be attributed to her.
The Family Relationship After Epstein’s 2008 Conviction
Later correspondence demonstrates continuing family contact after Epstein’s 2008 conviction. In the November 8, 2011 email to Boris Nikolic, Epstein described Eva as his former partner and the mother of his goddaughter. He also claimed a role in that goddaughter’s upbringing.
This supports a dated account of Epstein’s claimed family role. It does not establish what Celina understood about his crimes or validate everything Epstein said about the family.
Epstein’s Reported Desire to Marry Celina Dubin
Business Insider’s December 2019 investigation attributes marriage remarks to Epstein, based on a source’s account and retrospective handwritten notes.
This is reported evidence of Epstein’s intentions. It is not a recording, a signed proposal, an agreement by Celina, or evidence of a romantic relationship.
The family’s response
The Week reported a Dubin family spokesperson’s response that the family had not known of the remarks and regarded the reported statement as an offhand comment. The article also says there was no evidence of a romantic relationship.
The separate response concerning Celina’s knowledge of the estate arrangements and renunciation is addressed below.
The May 2015 Trust: What the Visible Copy Establishes
The May 1, 2015 Amendment and Restatement of the Jeffrey E. Epstein 2014 Trust, EFTA01266403, identifies Epstein as grantor and Darren K. Indyke, James E. Staley, and David Mitchell as trustees. It reserves amendment and revocation powers to Epstein. The signature page is page 21.
Pages 6 and 7 contain the following property provisions. The relevant beneficiary names in the reviewed public scan are redacted. This copy is therefore not used here to identify the recipient.
| Visible provision | Property and holding entity | Operating allocation |
|---|---|---|
| Section 2.3(A)(27), page 6 | Paris apartments; SCI JEP | $1 million |
| Section 2.3(A)(28), page 6 | Manhattan townhouse; Maple, Inc. | $4 million |
| Section 2.3(A)(29), page 6 | Little Saint James; Nautilus, Inc., with L.S.J., LLC also described | $10 million |
| Section 2.3(A)(30), pages 6 and 7 | Zorro Ranch; Cypress, Inc. | $5 million |
The four visible operating allocations total $20 million. They are property-expense provisions, not proof of a personal payment. Section 2.4 on page 7 provides for the residual estate, with the primary recipient redacted and visible contingent provisions naming Eva Andersson Dubin and MIT.
The identity of a beneficiary must come from an independently public, attributable source. Similar wording in a later trust does not establish who a redacted earlier clause names.
A separate trust in the 2019 reporting
Business Insider’s report about Celina being removed as a beneficiary in 2015 concerned an irrevocable trust established in 2004. It should not be merged with the chronology of the revocable estate-planning instruments discussed here.
The 2018 Trust That Requires Further Comparison
The opening provisions of the January 2019 trust expressly revoke an earlier Jeffrey E. Epstein 2018 Trust.
This establishes that another intervening estate-planning instrument existed.
Without examining that complete 2018 document, researchers cannot responsibly describe the succession of trust amendments as a simple uninterrupted progression from 2015 to 2019.
The 2018 instrument is therefore an important unresolved component of the estate chronology.
January 18, 2019: Celina Named in Epstein’s Estate Plan
The primary document
The Jeffrey E. Epstein 2019 Trust, EFTA00098341 is dated January 18, 2019.
It identifies Epstein as grantor and Darren K. Indyke and Richard D. Kahn as trustees.
Article I reserves to Epstein the power to amend or revoke the trust.
The New Mexico property
Section 2.3 includes provisions designating Epstein’s New Mexico property interests for Celina, contingent on her surviving him.
The property interests are described through corporate ownership structures rather than simply naming a deed directly in Celina’s name.
Little Saint James and Great Saint James
Section 2.3(A)(40) names Celina in relation to Little Saint James and Great Saint James.
The document identifies Nautilus, Inc. in relation to Little Saint James and Poplar, Inc. and Great St. Jim, LLC in connection with Great Saint James.
The presence of both islands in these provisions is especially important. A summary limited to Little Saint James understates the extent of Epstein’s proposed estate arrangements.
Property maintenance funding
Section 2.3(A)(41) designates $10 million in a separate trust for operating expenses involving the New Mexico property, Little Saint James, and Great Saint James.
These funds were earmarked for property upkeep, including insurance, taxes, utilities, and maintenance.
Contingent property interests
Other provisions establish additional contingent interests for Celina in Paris and Florida properties depending on the survival of other named beneficiaries.
These contingent arrangements are different from outright primary bequests and must be described separately.
The residual estate
Section 2.4(A) names Celina as recipient of the entire residual trust estate in a separate trust, if she survived Epstein.
Article III, Section 3.3 establishes the terms of the residual trust and identifies Indyke and Kahn as trustees.
The trustees were given substantial discretion over distributions of income and principal.
That language matters because a trust beneficiary is not necessarily someone with immediate unrestricted access to all assets.
Comparing the Available Trust Documents
| Record | What this review establishes | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| May 2015 amendment and restatement | Four property provisions with $20 million in operating allocations; visible contingent provisions for Eva Andersson Dubin and MIT | The relevant primary beneficiary names are redacted in the reviewed scan |
| January 18, 2019 trust | Celina visibly named in property and operating-fund provisions and as residual beneficiary | Conditional trust interests, not proof of receipt or knowledge |
| February 4, 2019 amendment | The August instrument expressly records this amendment | Its contents were not established in this review |
| August 8, 2019 amendment and restatement, the 1953 Trust | Amends and restates the January trust as previously amended; replaces the residual provision with a proportionate distribution formula | The released copy includes redacted beneficiaries; absence of a visible name is not proof of exclusion |
The 1953 Trust, pages 1 and 13, supplies the February amendment reference and the final residual formula. These records require an instrument-by-instrument chronology rather than an assumption of unchanged beneficiary status.
August 2019: The Final 1953 Trust
The 1953 Trust is dated August 8, 2019. Its opening page says it amends and restates the January 18, 2019 trust, which had also been amended on February 4.
The 2026 Business Insider investigation describes Karyna Shuliak as the intended principal beneficiary of that later arrangement.
Celina’s name is not visible in the released, heavily redacted copy. The new instrument changes the property and residual provisions, but redactions prevent a complete identification of every beneficiary.
This revision is vital to interpreting the case.
Earlier documents demonstrate Epstein’s intentions at the time they were drafted. They do not establish that those intentions remained legally operative at his death.
The final estate plan and subsequent probate administration must be distinguished from the earlier proposed bequests.
Renunciation of inheritance claims
Business Insider reported the family representative’s response that Celina and Eva renounced potential inheritances. The spokesperson said Celina was unaware of any trust designation and submitted a renunciation and disclaimer in April 2020.
A signed disclaimer, if available for examination, would provide stronger evidence of its exact legal terms.
No verified record examined here establishes an inheritance payout to Celina under the superseded provisions.
The Celina Dubin United Fund
Formation and management
The Celina Dubin United Fund was a charitable entity established in 2009, with Eva Andersson-Dubin identified as its trustee.
It was not a personal bank account belonging to Celina.
The Epstein foundation grant
The fund’s original 2013 IRS Form 990-PF includes a termination statement discussing a March 6, 2012 grant agreement with J. Epstein Virgin Islands Foundation, Inc., also known as Enhanced Education.
The Epstein foundation supplied $25,000 under the agreement.
Termination and return of funds
The fund terminated effective February 28, 2013.
Its termination statement reports that $22,413 of the original $25,000 had not been distributed and would therefore be returned to the J. Epstein Virgin Islands Foundation.
The remaining difference between the original grant and the returned amount was $2,587.
The record does not establish that Celina personally received either sum.
Why the fund matters
This establishes a documented financial connection between a charitable organization bearing Celina’s name and Epstein’s foundation.
The fund should be analyzed alongside the Dubin Breast Center, Eva’s charitable activities, and Epstein’s use of foundations to make educational and medical donations.
Any allegation that the fund was deliberately created to conceal Epstein’s financial role requires its own documentary basis, separate from the mere existence of the grant.
The J. Epstein Virgin Islands Foundation and Dubin Breast Center
The foundation’s summary schedule in EFTA01119775 lists $125,000 for the Dubin Breast Center among organizations supported over the preceding three years. It is an aggregate foundation summary, not a bank record for a single dated payment.
The foundation described itself as supporting scientific, medical, academic, educational, and artistic work.
The relevant distinction is between donations to institutions associated with the Dubin family and direct personal benefits to Celina.
Those categories must not be combined when calculating Epstein’s financial involvement.
Photograph Claims and Verification Limits
This review does not establish the contents or provenance of a separately labeled photograph box. A label by itself would not identify every person pictured, establish the number of distinct images, or show what any subject knew about the collection.
A defensible image count would require an authenticated inventory that distinguishes physical prints, digital files, repeated attachments, and duplicates. No such count is established here.
EFTA00565392: Framed-Image Correspondence
The August 31, 2011 email EFTA00565392 is addressed to Jeffrey Epstein and visibly lists the inline filename Celinagray.jpeg.
The released page includes a photograph of a room with a gray-framed object on the wall. The pictured content is redacted. The visible record does not allow the person depicted to be identified or the image’s original content to be described.
The email supports the existence of this framed-image correspondence. It does not establish the contents, size, or identity of people in a separate photograph collection.
Clothing Correspondence and Unresolved Attribution
The released text of EFTA01849597 records a November 10, 2011 exchange in which Epstein asks about clothing from Paris. The other correspondent’s sender field is redacted. This copy alone does not independently establish that correspondent’s identity.
Claims about a completed modeling session or a particular photograph require the full attributable thread and the relevant image. A proposal, a filename, and a completed photo shoot are different kinds of evidence.
Childhood images should not be republished merely because they appeared in Epstein’s records.
The Music Playlist Named Celina
The 2019 Business Insider report describes a playlist titled celina. This review has not authenticated its creator, intended subject, or underlying account data.
Harvard and Medical Education
The official family-foundation biography states that Celina graduated from Harvard magna cum laude in 2017 and received her medical degree with distinction in research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in May 2022.
The sources checked for this review do not establish that Epstein secured her admission. Academic credentials should be reported separately from unverified claims about admissions influence.
Travel, Social Introductions, and the Dubin Household
Released correspondence places Epstein in the role of family acquaintance, occasional logistical assistant, and provider of introductions.
London correspondence
The June 22, 2009 email to ferg, EFTA00882837, copies Eva and discusses a July London visit. A separate June 30, 2010 email to The Duke, EFTA00736145, asks about activities for Epstein’s goddaughter and her family. Neither message names Celina in the text reviewed here, and the two records concern different years.
An introduction proposed in correspondence is not proof that a meeting occurred.
Household logistics
Other reported correspondence describes transportation, school activities, social gatherings, and family visits.
These interactions help document the degree to which Epstein maintained a place within the family’s everyday environment.
They must not be interpreted as sexual or criminal conduct without corroborating evidence.
Comparing Epstein’s Conduct Over Time
| Period | Reported behavior or documentation | Evidence classification |
|---|---|---|
| Childhood | Established family familiarity and uncle-like relationship | Family testimony |
| 2009 to 2010 | Continuing family correspondence and logistical assistance | Released communications and reporting |
| 2011 | Framed-image email and Epstein’s account of his role with the family | Visible released records |
| 2014 | Statements about marriage and inheritance | Source account and retrospective notes |
| 2015 | Property and residual provisions; relevant beneficiary identities redacted in the reviewed scan | Trust instrument, limited by redactions |
| January 2019 | New trust with major property and residual provisions | Trust instrument |
| August 2019 | Subsequent estate plan with different principal beneficiary | Estate document reporting |
This chronology supports a sustained documented relationship and repeated estate-planning attention by Epstein.
It does not provide a basis for diagnosing his psychological state or alleging a sexual relationship.

Independent Research and Source Checks
Independent researchers have identified useful records and raised questions about the adults around Celina. Their interpretations are distinguished here from what a specific record establishes about Celina herself.
American Freakshow: Epstein’s description of his family role
In Jeff and the Blondes, published March 9, 2026, Nina Burleigh and Katie Chenoweth highlighted Epstein’s email to Boris Nikolic. The visible November 8, 2011 email, EFTA02014444, page 1, describes Eva as his former partner and mother of his goddaughter. Epstein claimed that Glenn had allowed him a role in raising that goddaughter. This is Epstein’s own characterization, not a finding about Celina’s consent, experience, or knowledge.
Bekah Day: the family’s continued public association
Bekah Day’s July 17, 2026 investigation revisits photographs from the December 2012 Dubin Breast Center benefit and the family’s continued association with Epstein after his conviction. It also discusses Celina and the trust reporting. The photographs are relevant to social proximity; Day’s interpretations about motive or exploitation are not treated as proven facts about Celina.
Lisa Tait: philanthropy and accountability
Lisa Tait’s September 17, 2026 report examines the contrast between Eva’s charitable reputation and unresolved questions about Epstein. For this profile, the relevant financial evidence is the charitable-fund return and the foundation summary above. Tait’s interpretation of philanthropy as reputation management does not establish anyone’s private motive, and allegations about adults are not attributed to Celina.
R. Howard Stone and Tommy Carstensen: finding aids and document checking
R. Howard Stone’s public document archive is a finding aid for released records. The site identifies its analytical reports as AI-generated research that requires source checking. Individual document references should be checked against their visible source pages.
Tommy Carstensen’s document archive provides another route to the January 2019 trust. Comparing the actual documents prevents the separate irrevocable trust, estate-planning instruments, proposed gifts, and completed transactions from being merged into one narrative.
None of these sources establishes wrongdoing by Celina. Unverified photograph identifications, numerical counts, and claims derived from redacted identities are excluded.

Outstanding Documentary Questions
What does the 2018 trust provide?
The January 2019 trust expressly revokes an earlier 2018 trust. Its full beneficiary structure needs to be compared with the 2015 and 2019 documents.
What changed between January and August 2019?
The final instrument records a February 4 amendment as well as the August restatement. A complete account requires that intervening amendment and comparison of the redacted beneficiary provisions, without reconstructing withheld identities.
What did the photograph box contain?
The original box image and inventory were not authenticated in this review. Any future account should establish provenance and contents without inferring a person’s identity from a first-name label.
How extensive was the correspondence?
A defensible total requires deduplication of emails, messages, attachments, and repeated production copies.
What do the original marriage notes say?
The handwritten notes supplied to Business Insider are important but require assessment of their original wording and chronology.
Were the proposed property transfers ever carried out?
No payment or conveyance to Celina under the superseded trust provisions has been established here.
What was Celina’s knowledge of the trusts?
The family’s account says she did not know about them. No authenticated contradictory communication is established in this investigation.
Do any records substantiate a romantic relationship?
No such evidence has been established. Statements of Epstein’s reported intentions cannot be used as a substitute for Celina’s own wishes or conduct.
Historical and Investigative Significance
The Celina Dubin documentary record reveals how Jeffrey Epstein’s relationships with wealthy families could extend far beyond ordinary social contact.
The strongest evidence examined here is the January 2019 trust, the charitable-fund return, and dated correspondence. Reported marriage remarks and other personal material require their own attribution and cannot substitute for Celina’s own account.
The January 2019 trust is particularly significant because it visibly identifies Celina in substantial proposed property interests and names the legal entities through which Epstein held those assets.
The charitable records add another financial dimension: a fund bearing Celina’s name reported an Epstein foundation grant and the return of its unspent balance. This is a filing-based account, not a bank-transfer audit.
No defensible photograph count is established here. Descriptions of an obsession should be attributed to the writer making that interpretation rather than presented as a clinical diagnosis or independently measured conclusion.
Celina’s relationship with Epstein began within a family environment while she was a child. Nothing in the documents examined establishes that she agreed with his marriage ideas or knowingly participated in his crimes.
The available evidence supports serious scrutiny of Epstein’s intentions, the adults who maintained his access to the family, the movement of charitable funds, and the evolution of his estate plans.
That investigation can be pursued thoroughly while protecting the dignity, autonomy, and privacy of the person at its center.
Key Takeaways
- The January 2019 trust visibly names Celina in substantial conditional bequests.
- Proposed bequests do not establish a payment, knowledge, agreement, or criminal conduct.
- Different trusts and amendments must be kept separate; redacted beneficiaries cannot be identified by assumption.
- The family representative said Celina and Eva renounced potential inheritances.
- Independent research is useful when each claim is traced to its actual document and relevant response.
