Soon-Yi Previn

Soon-Yi Previn

Snapshot

Soon-Yi Previn is an American public figure best known as the wife of filmmaker Woody Allen and the adopted daughter of actress Mia Farrow and conductor André Previn.

Released records document a sustained social relationship between Previn, Allen, and Jeffrey Epstein during the decade following Epstein’s 2008 Florida conviction.

The evidence includes direct emails, dinner arrangements, calendars, gifts, cultural outings, travel, private film screenings, educational assistance, and personal conversations about media criticism and sexual misconduct allegations.

A Guardian analysis identified more than 3,500 emails involving Epstein and Allen’s office. Approximately two thirds involved Previn. The available correspondence begins by at least December 2010 and continued until shortly before Epstein’s July 2019 arrest.

Previn frequently acted as the principal intermediary between Epstein and Allen. She arranged meals, relayed Allen’s comments, discussed family matters, thanked Epstein for gifts and favors, and communicated with Epstein independently.

Epstein helped arrange a White House visit for Previn and Allen in 2015. He also intervened while their daughter Bechet Allen was applying to Bard College. A message apparently written by Previn thanked Epstein for helping Bechet gain admission, although Bard later stated that she was accepted on her own qualifications and did not need Epstein’s intervention.

Several exchanges concern allegations of sexual misconduct involving Allen, Bill Cosby, Anthony Weiner, and other public figures. In one particularly significant 2016 exchange, Previn blamed the fifteen year old girl with whom Weiner exchanged sexual messages. In 2018, she forwarded Epstein a message stating that the Me Too movement had gone too far.

The correspondence documents friendship, access, favors, and shared attitudes. It does not establish that Previn participated in Epstein’s trafficking operation, recruited girls or women, witnessed sexual abuse, or committed a criminal offense.

As of September 2, 2026, Previn is not publicly known to have been charged with an Epstein related crime.

Identity and Family Background

Previn was born in South Korea. Her precise original birth date is uncertain because reliable birth records were unavailable when she entered institutional care.

Mia Farrow and André Previn adopted her in the late 1970s. She subsequently grew up within the large Farrow and Previn family.

Farrow later had a long relationship with Woody Allen. Allen was not Previn’s adoptive father and did not live in Farrow’s household, but he was Farrow’s partner during much of Previn’s childhood.

Allen and Previn began a sexual relationship in the early 1990s. The couple maintained that Previn was an adult when the relationship began. Their relationship became public after Farrow discovered intimate photographs of Previn at Allen’s apartment.

Allen and Previn married in Venice in December 1997. They later adopted two daughters, Bechet and Manzie Allen.

The family’s history is relevant to the Epstein correspondence because Previn and Allen repeatedly discussed their public controversy, Mia Farrow, Dylan Farrow, Ronan Farrow, and the allegations against Allen with Epstein.

Those conversations show that Epstein became a personal confidant rather than merely an occasional dinner host.

Epstein’s Relationship With the Couple

The public record most clearly documents Epstein’s relationship with Allen and Previn after Epstein completed his Florida jail sentence.

Epstein had pleaded guilty in 2008 to state charges involving solicitation of prostitution and procurement of a person under eighteen for prostitution. He was required to register as a sex offender.

Despite that record, Previn and Allen became frequent social guests at Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse.

The Associated Press reported that the three were neighbors on Manhattan’s Upper East Side and regularly ate together. The records also document cultural outings, screenings, travel, gifts, assistance with their daughters, and conversations about personal controversies.

A Guardian analysis of the released correspondence identified more than 3,500 emails between Epstein and Allen’s office. Approximately two thirds involved Previn.

The volume does not mean that every message was a substantive personal exchange. The total includes scheduling, forwarded messages, duplicate records, assistants, and administrative chains.

It nevertheless demonstrates that the relationship was sustained and extensively documented.

The Earliest Documented Social Invitations

The Guardian’s analysis identified a December 2010 message in which Epstein invited Previn and Allen to Sunday bagels.

This invitation came after Epstein’s conviction, imprisonment, release, and registration as a sex offender.

Later correspondence shows that meals became routine rather than exceptional. Epstein and his assistants regularly communicated with Previn about dinner times, lunch arrangements, additional guests, dietary preferences, and changes in plans.

EFTA00336149 contains one such dinner arrangement involving Previn. EFTA02472604 preserves another exchange in which she sought to confirm a date.

The surviving messages do not establish precisely when Previn first met Epstein. They establish that the social relationship was operating by 2010 and continued for years.

Previn as the Principal Intermediary

Previn appears to have performed much of the communication for the couple.

She confirmed meals, conveyed Allen’s availability, transmitted Allen’s responses, discussed their daughters, forwarded press coverage, and thanked Epstein for favors.

Some messages came from an account associated with Allen but appear from their wording to have been written by Previn. Other exchanges were sent directly from Previn’s telephone.

This matters because it would be misleading to describe her only as someone who accompanied Allen to Epstein’s dinners.

The documentary record shows that Previn had her own communication channel with Epstein. She expressed personal views, discussed gifts, exchanged jokes, relayed private family information, and occasionally initiated conversations.

At the same time, many of the discussions concerned Allen. Her role shifted between direct correspondent, spouse, scheduler, family representative, and messenger.

Frequent Dinners at Epstein’s Townhouse

Meals formed the center of the relationship.

Epstein’s schedules repeatedly list Allen and Previn for dinners or lunches at his Manhattan residence.

EFTA00285270 records a dinner with Allen and Previn on May 18, 2016. The schedule says that Allen was bringing two additional people.

The same record lists lunch with Allen and Previn on May 28. It also notes that hair and makeup professionals had been organized for Previn later that day.

EFTA02094414 contains preparations for an October 2014 lunch with Allen and Previn. The message asked what Epstein wanted served for a total of five people.

EFTA02067635 records a dinner involving Allen, Previn, and architect and academic Neri Oxman.

EFTA00285270 also places the couple within a much wider calendar of Epstein meetings involving academics, political figures, investors, lawyers, and business executives.

A calendar entry ordinarily establishes that an event was planned. It does not always prove that every listed guest attended. Repeated schedules, confirmations, and follow up messages nevertheless demonstrate that many of these meals were part of an established routine.

Epstein’s Dinner Network

Previn and Allen encountered people from Epstein’s wider network at these gatherings.

Reporting and released schedules identify guests including:

  1. Television host Dick Cavett
  2. Linguist Noam Chomsky
  3. Economist Larry Summers
  4. Academic Elisa New
  5. Architect Neri Oxman
  6. Comedian David Brenner
  7. Magician David Blaine
  8. Political, financial, academic, and cultural figures

The presence of a person at one of these meals does not establish knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.

The dinners are relevant because they show how Epstein maintained social legitimacy after his conviction. Guests could encounter respected academics, artists, public officials, and business leaders in a domestic setting that appeared cultured and socially prestigious.

Previn and Allen were not simply isolated visitors. They became recurring participants in this environment.

Woody Allen’s Description of Epstein’s Dinners

Allen prepared a written contribution for Epstein’s 2016 birthday celebrations.

In the account, later reported by the Associated Press, Allen described Epstein’s dinners as interesting, abundant, and populated by a wide variety of guests.

He also compared the young women serving at Epstein’s residence to female vampires in Dracula.

The description is important because it establishes that Allen noticed young women performing service functions inside the townhouse.

It does not identify the women, establish their ages, or prove that Allen or Previn knew whether any of them had been recruited or abused.

The language nevertheless provides a direct glimpse of how the household appeared to a frequent guest.

Cultural Outings and the Jeff Koons Studio

The relationship extended beyond meals.

EFTA00284786 records a November 8, 2013 plan for Epstein to collect Allen and Previn and visit artist Jeff Koons’s New York studio.

The schedule identified Previn and Allen as participants and contained contact information used to coordinate the visit.

This record is evidence of a planned cultural outing rather than a casual mention of their names.

Epstein’s access to artists, academics, and private institutions contributed to his value as a social connector. Visits of this kind allowed him to present himself as someone capable of arranging unusual experiences unavailable to most people.

The record does not establish misconduct by Koons, Allen, or Previn.

Private Screenings and Film Editing

Epstein attended screenings connected with Allen’s films. Released correspondence also indicates that Epstein visited Allen while the filmmaker edited ongoing work.

These activities placed Epstein inside the couple’s professional and creative environment.

Allen’s films became another form of social capital within Epstein’s network. Private screenings allowed Epstein to entertain academics, investors, and other guests while presenting direct access to a famous filmmaker.

The relationship was therefore reciprocal. Epstein provided dinners, introductions, gifts, travel assistance, and favors. Allen and Previn provided cultural access, screenings, conversation, and connections to the film world.

The evidence does not establish that Epstein financed Allen’s films or exercised creative control over them.

Travel in Europe

The Guardian’s analysis identified travel and social contact involving Italy and France.

The released correspondence includes discussions of meetings, meals, and movements involving Allen, Previn, and Epstein outside New York.

Travel planning must be interpreted cautiously. An invitation or proposed itinerary does not prove that every journey occurred.

The broader record nevertheless supports the conclusion that their relationship was not confined to occasional encounters between Manhattan neighbors.

Where a claimed trip lacks a flight manifest, hotel record, photograph, or follow up message, it should remain classified as proposed travel rather than confirmed travel.

The 2015 White House Visit

One of Epstein’s most concrete favors involved arranging a White House tour.

According to Associated Press reporting based on released emails, Epstein contacted former White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler in May 2015 and asked whether she could show Previn the White House. He questioned whether Allen would be too politically sensitive.

Ruemmler responded that she believed she could show both of them around. She suggested that Epstein himself was likely too politically sensitive to participate.

Official visitor records confirmed that Previn, Allen, and Ruemmler visited the White House on December 27, 2015. President Barack Obama was in Hawaii at the time.

This is an unusually well corroborated episode because the email proposal can be compared with official visitor records.

The visit demonstrates that Epstein used a relationship with a former senior government lawyer to provide access for Previn and Allen.

It does not establish that the White House, the Obama administration, or Ruemmler knew the full scope of Epstein’s criminal conduct. Epstein did not accompany them on the recorded visit.

Assistance With Bechet Allen’s Bard College Application

Epstein also became involved in the education of Previn and Allen’s daughter Bechet.

Emails show that he contacted Leon Botstein, the longtime president of Bard College, while Bechet was applying to colleges.

A January 11, 2017 message sent from Allen’s account appears from its language to have been written by Previn. The sender thanked Epstein for getting Bechet into Bard and suggested that Bechet should not immediately learn that she had been accepted.

The message is preserved in released evidence associated with EFTA01208496.

Bechet later attended Bard and graduated in 2021.

Bard disputed the suggestion that Epstein caused her admission. A college spokesperson said Bechet was accepted on her own qualifications, that other members of the family had already attended Bard, and that no introduction from Epstein was needed.

The evidence therefore establishes two separate facts:

  1. Previn and Allen believed Epstein had helped.
  2. Bard maintained that the admission was based on merit and that Epstein’s intervention was unnecessary.

The emails do not establish that Bard altered its admission standards, that Botstein ordered Bechet admitted, or that Epstein controlled the decision.

Epstein and the Hewitt School

The released record also connected Epstein to a donation involving the Hewitt School, a private girls’ school in New York associated with the Allen and Previn family.

The Guardian reported that Epstein donated $15,000 to Hewitt. The school later returned the money after learning of the Epstein connection.

This episode shows that Epstein’s involvement in the family’s educational environment extended beyond informal advice.

A charitable contribution does not by itself prove improper influence. The school’s decision to return the donation reflects the reputational and ethical concerns created by its source.

The privacy of Previn and Allen’s daughters should be preserved when discussing these records. Neither daughter is accused of wrongdoing.

Gifts to Previn and Allen

Epstein gave the couple personal gifts.

The records mention clothing, electronics, food, genetic testing kits, and other items.

EFTA00663981 concerns a robe obtained for Allen. Allen returned it because the material was uncomfortable and made a joke about the gift.

EFTA00817732 includes Previn discussing monogrammed clothing and observing that Epstein had expanded an order to include gifts for her. She joked that future double orders should involve electronics rather than food.

In a January 2018 message reported by the Guardian, Previn praised the thoroughness and breadth of Epstein’s gifts and said that people should take lessons from him.

The gifts demonstrate personal familiarity and Epstein’s practice of cultivating relationships through attention and material generosity.

The presently available evidence does not establish that Previn or Allen received payments for illegal activity or that the gifts created a formal financial obligation.

Genetic Testing Kits

Released correspondence shows that Epstein gave genetic testing kits to Previn and Allen.

Previn shared information about test results with Epstein.

The exchange is significant because genetic information is personal and ordinarily shared only within a trusted relationship. It reinforces the conclusion that Previn’s contact with Epstein extended beyond public dinners or professional introductions.

The record does not establish that the tests were medically necessary, that Epstein misused the results, or that the couple participated in any genetic research project.

It does show that Epstein’s gifts sometimes created opportunities for intimate personal discussion.

Personal Services and Household Assistance

Epstein’s staff sometimes helped coordinate services for Previn.

EFTA00285270 records hair and makeup professionals being organized for her on May 28, 2016. The schedule listed substantial cash amounts for the professionals.

The entry is evidence that Epstein’s administrative infrastructure could be used for the convenience of his friends.

It does not establish that Previn controlled Epstein’s staff or knew how his wider household and financial systems operated.

The significance lies in the normalization of assistance. Epstein’s employees did not communicate with Previn only about invitations. They could help arrange personal services and other logistics.

The 2013 Press Exchange

Previn communicated with Epstein about press attention surrounding Allen.

EFTA01754395 preserves an October 2013 exchange in which Epstein asked about Allen’s reaction to negative publicity.

Previn replied that she and Allen had encountered a reporter from the New York Post after dinner. She described the reporter’s conduct as harassment and said they had refused to comment.

The exchange demonstrates that Epstein was monitoring Allen’s public controversies and offering personal support.

It also shows Previn discussing an immediate event from her private life directly with Epstein.

The record does not establish that Epstein directed Allen’s media strategy or formally represented the couple.

Discussions of the Allegation Against Woody Allen

Dylan Farrow has alleged that Allen sexually assaulted her when she was seven years old. Allen has consistently denied the allegation.

No criminal charge was filed. A Connecticut prosecutor stated in 1993 that he believed probable cause existed but said he would not prosecute because of the potential effect on Dylan. Allen has maintained that investigations cleared him and that the allegation was false.

This article does not attempt to adjudicate that underlying dispute.

The allegation is relevant here because Previn, Allen, and Epstein discussed it repeatedly. Epstein positioned himself as a sympathetic audience and reinforced Allen’s belief that public condemnation was unfair.

Previn frequently relayed Allen’s statements through her own email account. These exchanges reveal emotional intimacy and a shared narrative of persecution.

They do not establish the truth or falsity of Dylan Farrow’s allegation.

The Bill Cosby and “Salem” Exchange

In May 2016, Previn, Allen, and Epstein discussed the allegations against comedian Bill Cosby.

The exchange occurred during intense public scrutiny of Cosby and renewed attention to the allegation against Allen.

Epstein described Cosby as being publicly burned at the stake, regardless of guilt. Previn responded that people wanted blood. Epstein warned that crowds needed a witch to burn.

Previn then relayed Allen’s position that his situation was different because Cosby faced allegations from many women and criminal charges, while Allen faced an accusation originating with Mia Farrow and had not been criminally charged.

Epstein suggested that much of the public criticism concerned Allen’s relationship with Previn, which Epstein described as a publicly broken taboo.

Allen, through Previn, responded that he would neither leave Previn nor apologize for their relationship.

The exchange shows all three discussing sexual misconduct allegations through the language of persecution, scandal, and public relations.

It does not constitute evidence resolving the allegations against Allen or Cosby.

Cosby was convicted in Pennsylvania in 2018, but that conviction was overturned in 2021 because the Pennsylvania Supreme Court found that his prosecution violated an earlier non prosecution assurance. The reversal did not represent a jury finding that every accuser’s account was false.

The Anthony Weiner Exchange

One of the most disturbing direct exchanges occurred in September 2016.

Previn forwarded Epstein an article reporting that former congressman Anthony Weiner had exchanged sexual messages with a fifteen year old girl.

The complete exchange is preserved in EFTA00817732.

Previn expressed sympathy for Weiner and his wife. She then blamed the fifteen year old, describing the child as manipulative and as someone who had taken advantage of a vulnerable adult man.

Epstein responded by discussing the difficulty of keeping a person’s sexual life private and portrayed Weiner as lacking acceptable sexual options.

Previn later questioned why Weiner believed contact with a fifteen year old online would be safe, given his previous sexting scandals. Her objection focused on the implausibility and danger of his conduct rather than withdrawing her attack on the child.

Weiner pleaded guilty in 2017 to transferring obscene material to a minor. The Justice Department’s sentencing announcement records his twenty one month federal prison sentence.

Previn’s comments are important because they are her own words in a direct private exchange. They should not be attributed to Allen unless a particular statement expressly identifies him as the source.

The exchange does not establish that Previn knew the girl or possessed independent information about the case.

Why the Weiner Exchange Matters

The Weiner discussion reveals more than social contact.

Previn was corresponding with a registered sex offender about an adult politician’s sexual communications with a child. Her immediate response placed substantial blame on the child and emphasized the adult man’s vulnerability.

That framing is especially significant within an archive documenting Epstein’s abuse of minors.

The document does not prove that Previn knew Epstein’s complete history or endorsed his crimes. His 2008 conviction and sex offender status were nevertheless matters of public record by the time of the exchange.

A survivor centered reading should avoid repeating Previn’s language without explaining the power imbalance. A fifteen year old is legally and developmentally a child. Weiner was an adult public official responsible for his own conduct.

The Me Too Movement

Previn continued sending Epstein material concerning sexual misconduct controversies.

In January 2018, she forwarded a message with the subject stating that the Me Too movement had gone too far, comparing it with excessive cosmetic treatment.

The exchange is preserved in EFTA00902789.

Epstein replied with a comment concerning Allen and the Academy Awards.

The message was brief, but its context matters. The Me Too movement had produced renewed scrutiny of Allen and had amplified reporting by Previn’s half brother, Ronan Farrow, concerning Harvey Weinstein and institutional responses to sexual abuse.

The email establishes Previn’s expressed view at that moment. It does not establish her position on every allegation associated with the movement.

Ronan Farrow

Previn also forwarded Epstein material concerning Ronan Farrow.

In October 2017, an agent associated with Allen sent Previn an article about NBC News’s handling of Farrow’s investigation of Harvey Weinstein. Previn forwarded the exchange to Epstein.

In September 2018, she sent herself a message concerning a New York Times arts article and wrote that it gave Farrow more prestige than he deserved.

The released material does not always make clear what article, joke, or visual attachment accompanied a particular subject line.

The exchanges nevertheless show that Epstein received private commentary concerning the Farrow family conflict and the journalism that helped propel the Me Too movement.

This material should not be treated as evidence about the accuracy of Farrow’s reporting. It documents Previn’s attitude toward him and her willingness to share that attitude with Epstein.

Timothée Chalamet and A Rainy Day in New York

Reporting on the released messages also identified a derogatory comment by Previn about actor Timothée Chalamet.

Chalamet appeared in Allen’s film A Rainy Day in New York. During renewed criticism of Allen, Chalamet said he did not want to profit from the film and pledged his salary to charitable organizations.

Previn later told Epstein that she was pleased a Chalamet film had received a negative review and referred to the actor with an insult.

The exchange shows Epstein functioning as a recipient for Previn’s private anger toward public figures who distanced themselves from Allen.

It does not establish that Epstein influenced Chalamet, the film’s distribution, or the critical response.

Friendship Language

The correspondence contains repeated language of gratitude, affection, familiarity, and shared humor.

EFTA02597252 preserves an exchange in which Epstein discussed friendship and helping with a matter involving someone named Vladson.

Other messages show Previn thanking Epstein after dinners, responding enthusiastically to gifts, seeking assistance, and treating him as a dependable personal contact.

The tone is inconsistent with a relationship limited to formal introductions.

It also demonstrates how Epstein cultivated loyalty. He combined personal attention, access, problem solving, gifts, and social entertainment.

Friendship does not by itself establish criminal complicity. It is relevant to assessing claims that contact was incidental or remote.

The Relationship Continued After Public Scrutiny

Previn and Allen remained in contact with Epstein long after his conviction became public.

Their relationship continued through renewed reporting about Epstein, Allen, Weinstein, Cosby, Weiner, and the Me Too movement.

The persistence of the relationship is one of its most important features.

This was not a case in which a person’s contact information appeared in an old address book and no later relationship could be demonstrated. The archive contains direct messages, repeated meals, assistance, and personal conversations across several years.

The surviving evidence does not establish precisely what Epstein told the couple about his conviction. Allen later said Epstein presented himself as having been falsely imprisoned.

That account describes what Allen says Epstein told them. It does not alter the public court record of Epstein’s guilty plea.

Contact Into 2019

The relationship continued close to Epstein’s final arrest.

EFTA00496877 contains a May 31, 2019 email involving Previn and Epstein’s assistant concerning dinner at what was described as the standard seven o’clock time.

That message was sent approximately five weeks before Epstein’s arrest on federal sex trafficking charges.

A proposed dinner does not by itself establish that the meal occurred. The wording is significant because it suggests an established routine rather than an unusual or first time invitation.

The Guardian’s analysis describes this as one of the latest Previn related communications in the archive.

The record therefore supports the conclusion that Previn’s relationship with Epstein extended into the final phase of his freedom.

Woody Allen’s Later Explanation

In a 2025 interview, Allen said he did not regret attending Epstein’s dinners.

He described the meals as interesting to him as a writer and said Epstein had been courteous in his interactions with the couple.

Allen said Epstein told them he had been imprisoned unfairly. He also said that he and Previn never saw Epstein with underage girls.

These statements provide Allen’s explanation for the relationship.

They do not establish what Previn independently knew, whether every young woman they encountered was an adult, or whether Epstein accurately described his conviction.

They are also not evidence that abuse did not occur outside their presence.

A witness can truthfully state that they never observed misconduct while remaining unable to account for events that occurred at other times or locations.

Previn’s Public Response

Previn did not provide a substantive response to several press requests following the 2026 release of the correspondence.

Silence is not evidence of guilt.

It does mean that the released emails presently provide more detail about her private relationship with Epstein than her public explanation does.

Any future statement should be assessed against the underlying chronology, the direct messages, and the distinction between what she personally wrote and what she relayed for Allen.

No Public Accusation of Participation in Epstein’s Abuse

The reviewed record does not identify a survivor who accused Previn of sexually abusing her, recruiting her, trafficking her, or knowingly arranging sexual contact with Epstein.

The records reviewed for this article do not show Previn discussing massages, payments to survivors, recruitment quotas, passports, immigration arrangements, or Epstein’s trafficking operation.

No public criminal case identified Previn as a defendant or coconspirator.

The significance of her documentary record lies elsewhere:

  1. She maintained a close relationship with Epstein after his conviction.
  2. She used Epstein’s social and institutional connections.
  3. She communicated with him directly and frequently.
  4. She treated him as a confidant during sexual misconduct controversies.
  5. She expressed hostility toward a child involved in a sexual messaging case.
  6. She remained in contact close to his 2019 arrest.

Those facts justify scrutiny without converting association into an unsupported criminal allegation.

The Difference Between Contact and Complicity

The Previn evidence illustrates why different types of Epstein connections must be classified carefully.

A contact book entry proves stored information.

A calendar entry proves that an event was scheduled.

An email proves that a particular message was sent or preserved.

A visitor record can corroborate that a visit occurred.

A gift demonstrates a material or personal exchange.

A favor demonstrates access or influence.

None of those facts alone proves knowledge of trafficking.

In Previn’s case, the combined evidence establishes a genuine friendship and repeated use of Epstein’s resources. The existing public record does not establish participation in his crimes.

Survivor Centered Context

Epstein’s elite friendships should not be studied only as celebrity gossip.

His ability to host respected guests, arrange coveted experiences, make introductions, assist with schools, and provide gifts helped create an appearance of legitimacy after his conviction.

That legitimacy mattered because survivors repeatedly described a system protected by money, reputation, and access.

There is no evidence that every dinner guest understood that system. There is evidence that Epstein benefited when influential people continued accepting his hospitality.

The Weiner exchange is especially important because it shows a child being blamed in a private conversation with a convicted sex offender.

Responsible reporting should center the adult offender’s legal and ethical responsibility rather than repeating narratives that portray a minor as the more powerful participant.

What the Evidence Establishes

The available evidence establishes that:

  1. Previn and Allen developed a recurring social relationship with Epstein.
  2. The relationship was active by at least December 2010.
  3. Most documented contact occurred after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.
  4. Previn communicated directly with Epstein.
  5. She frequently acted as the intermediary between Epstein and Allen.
  6. Epstein’s schedules contain repeated lunches and dinners with the couple.
  7. Previn and Allen participated in Epstein’s wider social network.
  8. Epstein arranged cultural outings, including a planned visit to Jeff Koons’s studio.
  9. Epstein attended activities connected with Allen’s films.
  10. Epstein helped arrange a 2015 White House visit for Previn and Allen.
  11. Official records corroborated that the White House visit occurred.
  12. Epstein became involved while Bechet Allen was applying to Bard College.
  13. A message apparently written by Previn thanked Epstein for helping Bechet enter Bard.
  14. Bard stated that Bechet was admitted on her own qualifications.
  15. Epstein donated $15,000 to the Hewitt School.
  16. Hewitt later returned the donation.
  17. Epstein gave Previn and Allen personal gifts.
  18. Previn discussed gifts and genetic testing with Epstein.
  19. Epstein’s staff helped coordinate personal services for Previn.
  20. Previn discussed press criticism of Allen with Epstein.
  21. Previn relayed Allen’s comments about Bill Cosby and the allegations against Allen.
  22. Previn blamed the fifteen year old girl in the Anthony Weiner sexting case.
  23. Weiner later pleaded guilty to transferring obscene material to a minor.
  24. Previn told Epstein that the Me Too movement had gone too far.
  25. She forwarded Epstein material concerning Ronan Farrow.
  26. She disparaged Timothée Chalamet after he distanced himself from Allen.
  27. Direct and administrative communications continued into 2019.
  28. A May 2019 message concerned another dinner with Epstein.
  29. The released evidence supports describing the relationship as a friendship rather than an incidental acquaintance.
  30. No reviewed criminal judgment found Previn guilty of participating in Epstein’s abuse.

What the Evidence Does Not Establish

The available evidence does not establish that:

  1. Previn participated in Epstein’s trafficking operation.
  2. Previn recruited a girl or woman for Epstein.
  3. Previn witnessed Epstein sexually abuse anyone.
  4. Previn knew the complete scope of Epstein’s crimes.
  5. Every scheduled dinner occurred.
  6. Every proposed trip took place.
  7. Every person named in a dinner schedule attended.
  8. Every young woman observed in Epstein’s household was a minor.
  9. Epstein controlled Bard College admissions.
  10. Bechet Allen was admitted because of Epstein.
  11. Bard violated its admission standards.
  12. Epstein’s Hewitt donation purchased favorable treatment.
  13. The White House or the Obama administration endorsed Epstein.
  14. Epstein entered the White House with Previn and Allen.
  15. Kathryn Ruemmler knew the full extent of Epstein’s criminal conduct.
  16. Gifts to Previn or Allen were payments for illegal activity.
  17. Previn agreed with every statement Epstein made.
  18. Previn’s private comments resolve the allegations against Allen.
  19. The absence of observed abuse proves that abuse did not occur.
  20. Previn committed an Epstein related criminal offense.

Investigative Assessment

Previn was more than Allen’s occasional companion at Epstein’s dinners.

The released record shows that she was one of the couple’s principal points of contact with Epstein. She arranged social events, accepted assistance, discussed gifts, shared family concerns, conveyed Allen’s views, and communicated personal opinions directly.

The relationship provided practical benefits. Epstein arranged an official White House visit, involved himself in a college application, supplied gifts, organized services, and offered access to a broad network of cultural and academic figures.

Previn and Allen also supplied value to Epstein. Their presence increased the prestige of his dinners, connected him with the film world, and allowed him to offer other guests access to an internationally known filmmaker.

The most consequential material is not the ordinary scheduling correspondence. It is the evidence of moral and emotional alignment during public sexual misconduct controversies.

Previn’s comments about the fifteen year old in the Weiner case shifted responsibility from the adult offender to the child. Her Me Too message and her exchanges concerning Allen, Cosby, Farrow, and Chalamet show that Epstein became a trusted audience for grievances about accountability and public criticism.

None of this proves that Previn participated in Epstein’s crimes.

It does establish that she sustained a meaningful friendship with a convicted sex offender, accepted his favors, and remained in contact with him until shortly before his final arrest.

Key Takeaways

  1. Previn had an independent correspondence with Epstein.
  2. She frequently served as the communication link between Epstein and Allen.

  4. Meals at Epstein’s townhouse were frequent and routine.
  5. The couple participated in a wider network of academics, artists, financiers, and public figures.
  6. Epstein provided gifts, services, introductions, and institutional access.
  7. He helped arrange the couple’s White House visit.
