EFTA00298036: Inside Epstein’s Legal Filing Cabinet

Snapshot

Primary evidence: EFTA00298036, a 17 page inventory headed “DKI TALL FILE CABINET.” Its consecutive page stamps run from EFTA00298036 through EFTA00298052.

Document type: An office filing inventory. It describes folders, binders and subdivisions of records. It is not the underlying collection of contracts, correspondence, flight logs or legal submissions.

Central finding: Four entries carry explicit missing file annotations. They concern a Bell 407 helicopter operating file, an Execujet acquisition file, an addendum to Epstein’s non prosecution agreement and a Kirkland & Ellis work release binder.

Associated legal office: The inventory repeatedly uses DKI, refers to Darren’s desk and return, and expressly lists Darren Indyke’s resignation as manager of Thomas World Air LLC. These details connect the inventory to Indyke’s legal and administrative work. They do not establish who compiled it.

Date: No single compilation date is printed. Individual entries include dates from 2004 onward. One missing file annotation refers to January 2011. A March 2010 registration expiration elsewhere in the document is not its creation date.

Scope: Five numbered drawers encompassing aviation, corporate records, criminal defense, work release, civil litigation, registration, modeling businesses, legal billing and personal office files. The report covers all 17 inventory pages and adds released document matches, related records, and a detailed catalogue. The contents of every indexed folder have not been recovered.

Important Points and Key Takeaways

  • The missing file annotations are real and specific. Two refer to moving files from Cabinet 1 on August 14, 2009. Another refers to Darren’s return in January 2011. The work release binder was recorded as last seen on Darren’s desk, without a date.
  • Missing does not establish destruction. The inventory gives no explanation of what happened to those materials. It identifies neither a person responsible for their absence nor an intentional act of concealment.
  • Several missing subjects appear elsewhere in the same inventory. The prosecution agreement addendum is listed again in other drawers. Another Execujet acquisition file also appears. These entries require comparison before anyone claims that all copies disappeared.
  • Work release was a documented legal subject. The inventory lists correspondence, legal arguments and a dedicated binder concerning work release. The contents of those records are not reproduced here.
  • The cabinet joined business administration with criminal and civil defense. Aircraft purchases, company books, government submissions, settlement materials and attorney invoices appear in one organizational system.
  • The Wexner entry describes a corporate sale binder. It names Leslie H. Wexner, Nine East 71st Street Corporation and NES LLC. It does not supply a deed, purchase price or transaction date.
  • The aircraft exchange is not a passenger record. An April 22, 2009 entry describes transferring a share from N787TA to N493LX. It does not document a flight by Epstein or anyone else.
  • A 2007 flight log collection is listed. The inventory does not disclose the routes or passengers recorded in those logs.
  • Released records now strengthen several entries. Legal submissions, survivor notifications, corporate filings, trust pages and later filing emails are linked separately, with their match status stated. No released copy is presented as proven to have come from this physical cabinet.
  • The document provides leads rather than final answers. Its greatest value is identifying which records to locate and compare. A folder title cannot substitute for the record inside it.

Linked Documents Behind the Cabinet Entries

The cabinet inventory can now be read alongside released copies of several documents it names. These links lead to released document copies and a related transmission record. A matching title, date or correspondent connects the documents intellectually. It does not establish that a released scan came from the physical folder described here.

Cabinet entryDirect evidence linkMatch and locationWhat the match establishes
Prosecution agreement and addendum, inventory pages 6, 9 and 11Agreement and addendum, EFTA00040089Document match. Composite court exhibit; agreement begins on PDF page 3, addendum on page 12Readers can examine released agreement texts and signatures. This is not proof that the copy marked missing in January 2011 was recovered

May 19 letter on PDF pages 6 through 13; the compilation also includes the May 27 letterConnects the earlier defense submission to the later request. The compilation is not itself proof of cabinet custody
United States Attorney letter to Jay Lefkowitz dated July 7, 2009, inventory page 7July 7 letter, EFTA00214085Date, issuing office and recipient match. Two page letterGives readers the government response, rather than only the defense perspective or an inventory label
Transmission of the July 7, 2009 letterCovering email, EFTA00214084Related transmission record. Same date and named letter attachmentSupports the correspondence trail. The email is a separate record, not an additional cabinet entry
Letter to Captain Sleeth dated December 11, 2008, inventory page 6Work release letter, EFTA00189918Date, addressee and subject match in the document textProvides a route to the dated work release correspondence. It does not identify the contents of the separately missing Kirkland & Ellis binder

The agreement and addendum exhibit is especially useful because the inventory records both a missing addendum and other addendum copies. A released addendum supplies text for comparison. It cannot resolve which version or physical copy was absent from the cabinet.

The May 27 letter also changes how the government submission labels should be read. Starr and Whitley sought review of the proposed prosecution and an extension of the compliance deadline. Their suggestions about political motivation were arguments made for their client. They should not be presented as independently established explanations for the investigation.

The July 7 government reply provides a different perspective. Its opening disputes Lefkowitz’s interpretation of earlier exchanges about Epstein’s treatment and the agreement. Reading both sides is more informative than treating either side’s assertions as settled fact.

Additional Linked Evidence and Match Status

The inventory entries have additional matches and related records below. A document type match identifies released paperwork for the same entity or subject. A related record supplies context or a filing trail. Neither status establishes the original cabinet copy.

Cabinet Entries Still Without a Confirmed Document Match

The remaining inventory entries include records for which no sufficiently confirmed underlying match is linked here. An unresolved match means the document has not been reliably identified for this article. It does not mean the document was destroyed, withheld or never released.

These gaps preserve the distinction between a useful document map and a completed reconstruction of the cabinet. The linked legal, corporate, trust and administrative documents provide concrete starting points. The missing folders and broader business files still require their own evidence chains.

Why This Cabinet Inventory Matters

The original inventory begins with aviation paperwork and ends with a lawyer’s retainer agreement. Between those points, it records the infrastructure surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s assets, prosecution agreement, incarceration and litigation.

The most striking details are brief annotations. A helicopter operating file was missing during a cabinet move. An acquisition file was missing on the same date. An agreement addendum was missing when Darren returned. A work release binder was last seen on his desk.

Those notes make the inventory more than a list of company names. They preserve observations about where important files were expected to be and where they could no longer be found. Yet the notes leave the central questions unanswered: who checked, whether another copy existed, whether a folder had been borrowed, and whether it was subsequently recovered.

The cabinet also reveals the range of material handled within the same filing system. Corporate formation documents sit alongside aircraft financing and maintenance files. Other drawers contain defense submissions to senior Justice Department officials, records associated with survivors’ litigation, registration paperwork and reputation management materials.

This is evidence of organization. Whether a specific transaction closed, a letter was sent, an agreement was executed or a filing accurately described an event requires the underlying document.

What the Document Establishes About Darren Indyke

Page 4 of the inventory lists a resignation of Darren Indyke as manager within the Thomas World Air LLC file. Other pages refer to DKI research, correspondence from JEE to DKI, Darren’s desk and his January 2011 return.

Together, these references support an association with Indyke’s legal and administrative office work. The resignation entry is particularly useful because it supplies his full name rather than initials alone.

However, the inventory has no visible author signature. The person writing about moving files uses the first person but is not identified. It would therefore be inaccurate to describe the missing file annotations as statements personally written by Indyke.

The inventory also does not establish the physical address of the cabinet, its custodian when the document entered the public record, or the circumstances in which it was collected. Calling it a seizure inventory or a contemporaneous FBI checklist would go beyond its contents.

For related biographical and institutional context, see Darren Indyke.

The Four Explicit Missing File Annotations

Pages 1, 4, 6 and 7 contain the four explicit missing annotations identified in this 17 page inventory.

Missing itemPage and evidence stampWhat the annotation recordsWhat remains unresolved
Bell 407 helicopter operating filePage 1, EFTA00298036Missing on August 14, 2009, when files were moved from Cabinet 1Who moved or checked the files, whether the folder was elsewhere, and whether it was recovered
Acquisition of ExecujetPage 4, EFTA00298039Missing as of August 14, 2009, during the same cabinet moveIts relationship to the separately listed Execujet Flight Services acquisition file
Addendum to the non prosecution agreementPage 6, EFTA00298041Missing when Darren returned in January 2011Which version or physical copy was missing and how it relates to other addendum entries
Kirkland & Ellis work release binderPage 7, EFTA00298042Missing and last seen on Darren’s deskWhen it was last seen, who handled it and whether it was later located

The two August 2009 notes identify a common inventory event. They do not establish that the files became missing on that date. A person checking during a move could discover an absence that began earlier.

The January 2011 notation likewise records an occasion on which the addendum was missing. It gives no starting date for its absence.

The work release binder entry is narrower still. It names a last known location, but it supplies neither a date nor a chain of custody.

Figure 2: Execujet missing file annotation. Original evidence, page 4, EFTA00298039. The page also identifies Thomas World Air LLC records and Indyke’s manager resignation.
Figure 3: Missing prosecution agreement addendum. Original evidence, page 6, EFTA00298041. The January 2011 annotation appears within the Palm Beach criminal litigation file.
Figure 4: Missing work release binder. Original evidence, page 7, EFTA00298042. The same page introduces Drawer Two and lists corporate books, 2007 flight logs and a Wexner trusts binder.

The Duplicate Entries Change How Missing Must Be Read

Drawer Three contains several prosecution agreement entries. They include a copy described as fully executed, an agreement with an addendum, and an addendum listed separately. Drawer Four also lists an agreement and addendum.

These entries are important because the addendum was marked missing within the earlier criminal litigation file. Both statements can be true: one physical copy could be missing while another remained in a different drawer.

Alternatively, the entries could reflect intended filing locations, an older inventory carried forward, or different versions. The inventory alone cannot decide among those possibilities.

The same problem arises with Execujet. Page 4 marks an acquisition folder missing. Page 5 lists an acquisition of Execujet Flight Services folder with many overlapping subjects, including Hairoun corporate material, airport leases and wire instructions.

A responsible reconstruction must compare the actual records before treating the second folder as a complete replacement. Similar labels do not prove identical contents. They do, however, defeat an unsupported claim that the inventory shows every related record had vanished.

Figure 5: Other prosecution agreement and addendum entries. Original evidence, page 9, EFTA00298044. This page is essential context for the missing addendum annotation.

Drawer One: Aircraft Purchases, Operations and Corporate Administration

Pages 1 through 6 describe the largest initial block of aviation records. Drawer One later transitions into Palm Beach criminal litigation.

The aviation material distinguishes organizational files from operating files and transaction files. This matters because incorporation paperwork, a purchase proposal and an aircraft’s maintenance records answer different questions.

Entity or aircraft subjectRecords listedSignificance and limit
Bell 407 operating filePossible sale, insurance review, charter possibility and a private and public partnership agreementIndicates operational and commercial subjects under consideration; the folder is annotated missing
JEGE Inc. organizational fileIncorporation, tax election, SS4, correspondence, attorney notes, research, memoranda, office sublease, maintenance program and franchise taxIdentifies the categories used to administer the company; does not establish current ownership or status
JEGE Inc. operating fileQuiet Wing purchase and auxiliary fuel tank repair correspondenceIncludes a Boeing fuel tank repair file and provides maintenance and modification leads rather than flight evidence
Boeing 727 purchasePurchase and closing records, title, registration, lien filing, insurance and refurbishmentIdentifies a detailed transaction file with 26 numbered subdivisions across two pages
Bell 407 purchaseSale, shipment, customs, financing, inspections, airworthiness, title, escrow and registrationA distinct purchase file with 36 subdivisions; its listing does not resolve the missing operating file
Plan D LLC and Plan D Inc.Incorporation, EIN, entity services and invoicesBoth legal forms appear; the inventory does not justify merging them into one entity
Sikorsky S76 aircraftPurchase, proposed sale, brokerage, warranties, amendments, exchange and closing materialRequires original contracts and registration records to establish exact aircraft identities and completed transactions
Bell 609 and S76DPurchase headings, with a Bell 417 production notationShows subjects of files or proposals; does not prove delivery or ownership
Lufthansa Boeing Business JetSpecificationsTechnical comparison material rather than proof of acquisition
Hyperion Trust and Gulfstream G650Organizational file, purchase file and letter of intentIdentifies planning and transaction paperwork, without an executed closing document
Hyperion AirOffice, insurance, service, inspection, noise abatement, refurbishment and exchange binderShows continuing aircraft administration and service subjects

The Boeing purchase file includes proof of authority for Toija Beutler to sign on behalf of Real Estate Exchange Inc. It also lists a deposit acknowledgement, closing agenda, conveyance notice, title invoice, wire instructions, bill of sale and declaration of international operations.

Refurbishment categories include International Jet Interiors specifications and invoices, interior status, completion specifications and TIMCO material. A termination letter to Paramount Logistics is also indexed. These labels identify counterparties or service subjects, not a finding of misconduct by those organizations.

The Bell 407 purchase file is similarly detailed. It includes vibration tests, mortgage information, tariff and entry requirements, a lien and title search, an export airworthiness certificate, discrepancy items, Mann Aviation material, bank details, escrow and invoices.

A February 23, 2010 declaration of international operations appears alongside amendment paperwork concerning Air Ghislaine and Shmitka Air. A temporary registration certificate is described as valid until March 25, 2010. That expiration date concerns the certificate, not the inventory itself.

The Sikorsky Files and the Aircraft Share Exchange

Pages 3 and 6 contain aircraft entries that can easily be overstated if read without their transactional context.

The S76 sale material includes a proposed purchase by Five Star Holding Company LLC, a note that the company must be organized, a brokerage agreement involving Air Ghislaine and Aircraft Services, and a sales agreement dated December 14, 2007.

The purchase material includes Turbomeca warranty information, Asset Preservation exchange documents, an exchange account statement, amendments to a sales agreement, a 2009 interest reporting form and a March 9, 2010 closing entry with a request for funds and Sikorsky invoice. A March 31, 2010 deposit agreement and a proposed sale involving Eric Chase also appear.

Aircraft identifier strings vary within these entries. The scanned source and its text extraction contain inconsistencies. The original agreements and aviation registry records are needed before assigning a definitive serial number across all the S76 files.

The Flight Options section lists a March 2009 exchange agreement, comparative aircraft specifications and an April 22, 2009 agreement describing a transfer of a share from N787TA to N493LX.

That entry concerns an aircraft interest. It supplies no flight date, route, passenger manifest, boarding record or permission to travel. Its presence during the period associated with Epstein’s incarceration cannot establish that he boarded either aircraft.

Execujet, Hairoun and Virgin Islands Airport Infrastructure

Pages 4 and 5 link aviation transactions to airport space, leasehold rights and business entities in the Virgin Islands.

The missing Execujet acquisition folder lists a purchase agreement, assets, wire instructions and Hairoun corporate documents. It also includes lease agreements, amendments and assignments involving the Virgin Islands Port Authority, a spill prevention plan, a Small Business Administration loan entry and due diligence material with a separate binder reference.

A Hairoun complaint is indexed, but its allegations and outcome are absent. The label cannot establish what a court found.

The separately listed Execujet Flight Services acquisition folder contains overlapping transaction and lease categories. It identifies Four Star Aviation leases at Cyril E. King Airport on St. Thomas and Henry E. Rohlsen Airport on St. Croix. The purchase and operating documents would be needed to establish how those lease interests related to the acquisition.

The Thomas World Air LLC file is especially specific. It concerns leasing space at Cyril E. King Airport and lists:

  • A letter of intent to lease.
  • Correspondence and attorney notes.
  • Minutes, articles of organization and an operating agreement.
  • Resolutions and minutes.
  • Darren Indyke’s resignation as manager.
  • A Port Authority lease application.
  • An annual report and filing fee calculation.
  • A certificate of existence.
  • A February 8, 2010 letter from the Port Authority concerning an application for space.

The same portion of the cabinet contains EAL Enterprises LLC and Thomas World Enterprises LLC formation files. Those companies should remain distinct from Thomas World Air LLC unless original entity records establish a relationship.

The significance is practical: the listed records could explain how aircraft operations were supported through companies and airport rights. The inventory does not independently establish which party ultimately held each lease or asset.

Air Ghislaine, Shmitka Air and Freedom Air International

Pages 5 and 6 place Air Ghislaine Inc., Shmitka Air Inc. and Freedom Air International Inc. within one organizational heading.

The file includes minutes, incorporation documents, tax forms, corporate filings, a stock certificate, office and entity services, and a certificate of good standing. GMAIR LLC appears as a separate indexed item within that organizational file.

The dated entries include an August 21, 2009 S76D proposal, stockholder consent as of February 8, 2010, and a February 11, 2010 incorporation amendment. Further entries concern a Shmitka declaration of international operations, a June 17, 2010 deposit agreement and name change documents from Shmitka Air to Freedom Air International.

This is strong evidence that the office maintained records concerning the naming sequence. It is not a substitute for certified amendments showing legal effective dates, ownership or the precise continuity of each corporation.

A separate Shmitka section lists a Sikorsky deposit agreement and registration certificate. Its existence also shows why researchers must compare files across headings rather than assume one label contains all the records for an entity.

Palm Beach Criminal Defense and Work Release

Pages 6 and 7 identify a Palm Beach criminal litigation file with multiple kinds of defense records.

The file contains headings for gun possession, correspondence from JEE to DKI, a plea agreement, community control transfer, a representation letter from Kreusler Walsh, Compiani & Vargas, and a community control order.

The gun possession heading does not reproduce a charge, factual allegation, judicial ruling or conviction. Likewise, a general indictment label does not identify which indictment or draft was filed under it.

Work release appears in several distinct entries:

  • An email to Gauger concerning work release.
  • A December 11, 2008 letter to Captain Sleeth concerning work release.
  • A Kirkland & Ellis summary of arguments about work release.
  • A Kirkland & Ellis work release binder annotated missing and last seen on Darren’s desk.

The following page also lists a July 7, 2009 letter from the United States Attorney to Jay Lefkowitz, legal research on stays pending appeal, sentence material, drafts and an order on a motion.

These entries establish that work release was a recurring subject within the office’s criminal case records. They do not disclose the arguments made, the responses received or whether every draft was sent.

The Justice Department’s November 2020 executive summary provides independent historical context. It states that the federal agreement was signed on September 24, 2007, and Epstein pleaded guilty to Florida state charges on June 30, 2008. It describes his subsequent admission to the sheriff’s work release program and work at the Florida Science Foundation. Those historical findings come from the later government review, not from the cabinet labels.

Drawer Two: Corporate Books, Flight Logs and the Wexner Records

Pages 7 and 8 describe Drawer Two. The corporate books listed are JEGE Inc., Hyperion Air Inc., Nine East 71st Street Corporation, Zorro Development Corp., FT Real Estate Inc., Financial Trust Company Inc. and Plan D Inc.

The drawer also includes 2007 flight logs and a Wexner trusts binder. The flight log label establishes that a collection was indexed; it provides no passenger names or destinations.

Further entries concern depositions, document productions received from Critton, correspondence across cases, and an Alfredo Rodriguez item dated July 29, 2009. Its placement near deposition material is relevant, but the inventory does not provide the underlying transcript or explain the precise nature of that item.

Witness file headings are redacted. Those redactions should not be reconstructed from speculation or contextual clues.

The most consequential Wexner entry is a binder described as concerning Leslie H. Wexner’s sale of Nine East 71st Street Corporation to NES LLC.

That wording concerns a corporation. It does not by itself establish a direct conveyance of real estate, a gift to Epstein, a sale price or the ultimate beneficial ownership of the purchaser.

The appropriate evidence chain would include the corporate purchase agreement, stock transfer records, closing documents, the corporation’s asset records and any relevant property deeds. The cabinet inventory points toward those records without resolving them.

Drawer Three: The Prosecution Agreement, Registration and Reputation Management

Pages 9 through 11 show Drawer Three extending across several subjects.

Its legal retainer section lists Alan Dershowitz, Hodge and Francois, Susman Godfrey, Troutman Sanders, Fowler White Burnett and Critton’s revised fee agreement. The entries establish that retainer or fee materials were indexed. They do not establish the amount paid, the duration of representation or the work performed by each party.

The prosecution agreement section includes a copy described as fully executed, agreement and addendum entries, and a survivors’ reply concerning a motion to unseal the agreement. The inventory’s description of execution is not a visual verification of the signatures because the actual agreement is not reproduced.

Palm Beach litigation material includes Merrie Spaeth Communications Inc., a confidentiality agreement, invoices, civil cases, American Home Assurance and backup binders identified as Volumes I and II.

The communications and confidentiality entries provide a concrete lead into reputation management around the litigation. They do not reveal the scope of services or establish an unlawful purpose. The contracts, invoices and communications themselves are needed to answer those questions.

A redacted case file includes material associated with Ami Sheth, attorney changes, a November 11, 2008 notice of appeal, and a settlement agreement with a general release. The identity behind the redacted case heading remains protected.

Registration records are listed for New York, Florida, St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands and New Mexico. This demonstrates that the cabinet indexed jurisdiction specific registration paperwork. It does not establish successful registration on a particular date or compliance with every reporting requirement.

A master contact and asset list is also indexed for vehicles, boats, aircraft and homes. Its contents are not supplied in this document.

Modeling Business Records: E Management, Elite, Next and MC2

Pages 10 and 11 contain a cluster of business and modeling related files.

E Management New York Inc. and Elite SA appear alongside organizational records, a publication notice, visa applicants, an EIN, an SS4 form and an operating agreement. The list also contains wires and wire requests, invoices, credit line management and closing expenses.

Specific headings include Kaja Sokolow, an agreement between Elite Europe and Elite USA, a New York tax information request, and a tax withholding return.

The next page adds a Caroline Peznanski employment agreement, Elite Europe, an employment agreement involving Next Management, trademark issues and 2007 projections for MC2 Model Management. The source spelling of Peznanski is retained here rather than silently assigning the file to someone with a similar name.

These entries show that modeling business administration formed part of the filing system. They could help reconstruct contracts, employment relationships, immigration applications and financial arrangements once the original records are located.

They do not establish that a visa application was approved, a wire was completed, a credit line was funded or an employment agreement was breached. Nor does appearing in an office inventory establish criminal conduct by an individual or company.

Drawer Four: Appeals to the Justice Department

Pages 11 and 12 describe Drawer Four using both “DRAWER FOUR” and “FOURTH DRAWER.” The repeated heading does not establish two separate fourth drawers.

The material concerns Palm Beach litigation, a confidential submission to the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, emails from the United States Attorney’s Office to Lefkowitz, and DKI research.

The dated labels provide a useful map of defense submissions and correspondence. They are dates attached to indexed records, not independently verified delivery dates.

Other entries include a submission to Assistant Attorney General Alice A. Fisher, a general Justice Department submission, a summary and attachment letter, a case analysis chart, biography material, charges and sentence records, and a tax return cover sheet associated with Delson.

The Sloman misconduct label describes the subject of a defense letter. It is not a government finding that misconduct occurred. The same caution applies to the separate Sloman recusal entry.

Several labels are undated or abbreviated. A November Justice Department entry has no stated year. Biography text contains spelling irregularities. These uncertainties should remain visible rather than being replaced with a confident invented chronology.

Clemency, the OPR Complaint and Incarceration Records

Page 12 also lists character references, a Florida clemency package and an Office of Professional Responsibility complaint concerning criminal matters after incarceration.

A clemency package label establishes that such a file was indexed. It does not establish that an application was submitted, that a reviewing authority considered it, or that relief was granted.

The OPR complaint similarly requires its underlying text to determine its author, allegations, submission date and disposition. The nearby entry concerning notification of identified victims does not independently establish who was notified, what was communicated or whether notification was adequate.

The inventory’s OPR complaint should not be conflated with the government investigation publicly summarized in November 2020. They are different records, and this inventory contains internal references to a much earlier period.

The 2020 OPR executive summary found poor judgment in Acosta’s use of the agreement but did not find professional misconduct by the subjects under OPR’s governing standard. It also criticized aspects of the treatment of victims. These later findings cannot be inferred from the cabinet’s complaint heading.

The same page indexes sheriff’s corrections material, a county stockade directory, a grand jury subpoena motion, hearing notices, a police report, attorney research and miscellaneous agreement records.

A file is labeled as concerning a stalker. The label does not identify the person or establish the truth of an accusation. It should not be used to reclassify an unidentified survivor, witness or other person.

Figure 6: Government submissions, clemency and complaint files. Original evidence, page 12, EFTA00298047. The headings identify records to locate; they do not establish their outcomes.

For additional context, see EpsteinWiki’s OPR executive summary article.

Civil Litigation, Subpoenas and the Foundations

Page 13 begins with general Palm Beach civil litigation material before introducing Drawer Five.

The civil section lists Robert Critton correspondence, civil litigation research, a tolling agreement concerning Josefberg clients, a focus group and a request for an insurance defense. An abbreviated insurance reference does not identify the insurer with certainty.

It also indexes subpoenas involving Rich Kahn, HBRK and NYSG, and subpoenas concerning the Florida Science Foundation and the COUQ Foundation. The actual subpoenas would be needed to determine their issuers, recipients, scope, service and responses.

A May 26, 2010 Rubin Katz engagement letter is described as concerning representation of Zorro Ranch. Bill Riley and supervision of Bill Riley appear as additional headings. A decision concerning Epstein’s bar complaint against Brad Edwards is indexed without its text or result.

The Jeffrey Herman suspension heading is likewise only a label in this inventory. It is not an adequate source for explaining a disciplinary history or alleging conduct by that attorney.

These files could connect civil litigation to financial administration, foundations and property interests. Their titles do not show what testimony or documents were ultimately obtained.

For foundation context, see COUQ Foundation Inc..

Drawer Five: Legal Office Records and Private Files

Pages 13 through 16 show that the cabinet contained substantial personal and professional material alongside Epstein related business and litigation files.

The DKI miscellaneous section includes a representation letter for JEE and a PACER heading. It also encompasses tax records, property paperwork, office suppliers, professional memberships, retirement material, bank correspondence, insurance, travel accounts and vehicle related matters.

Other categories include family health and benefit records, children’s camp medical forms and private residential transactions. Their presence helps explain the mixed character of the cabinet. It does not make unrelated family members or private clients participants in Epstein’s crimes.

The business and service headings include All Media Consultants LLC, Governor’s Hill with a KCAC reference, FITEC, Eternal Memorials Inc., Cardou of St. Thomas appraisal material, Knightsbridge Galleries, Independent Graphics Inc. and Diversified Systems.

These are file subjects. The inventory does not establish that each business was owned or funded by Epstein.

Professional records include continuing legal education, attorney registration, New Jersey admission material and office space information. A separate 2010 bar examination eligibility letter concerns another person; it should not be attributed to Indyke simply because it appears within his miscellaneous files.

Research categories include discovery, tax return privilege and asylum matters. Those headings describe legal research subjects without identifying a client or establishing a person’s immigration status or protected characteristics.

Aircraft registration change information appears among the office miscellaneous records, another example of aviation material being dispersed beyond the initial aircraft section.

Lynn and JoJo LLC, Property Records and Investment Files

Pages 15 and 16 include Lynn and JoJo LLC organizational and residential paperwork, homeowner insurance for 2009 and 2010, and State Farm policy material.

Promissory notes dated March 1 and April 27, 2007 follow in the inventory. The underlying notes are needed to establish the parties, amounts and their relationship to the surrounding files.

A redacted property purchase file lists 27 categories across two pages. They encompass sale and closing documents, title and mortgage records, surveys, transfer taxes, affidavits, inspection and environmental material, plans, permits, insurance, maintenance, a property tax exemption application and an LLC biennial statement.

Those categories describe the documentary structure of a residential transaction. The redacted identity and private property details should remain protected. The LLC name does not justify identifying a private person through an assumed nickname match.

A separate file concerns a petition for a nonimmigrant worker and nanny related material, with identifying content redacted. It does not reveal the decision on the petition or establish misconduct.

The Joe Pagano and Curve Capital entry lists a private offering memorandum and subscription agreement. It establishes the existence of an investment file subject, not a completed subscription, transfer or investment return.

Ellmax LLC appears with an employer identification and organizational document entry. The inventory’s terminology for the organizational document is not a substitute for checking the actual legal filing.

Attorney Billing, Fee Disputes and the Final Retainer

Pages 16 and 17 complete the inventory with legal billing, dispute and retainer files.

Palm Beach litigation invoice headings identify:

  • Kirkland & Ellis.
  • A Critton retainer agreement.
  • Burman, Critton, Luttier & Coleman.
  • Bruce E. Reinhart.
  • Podhurst Orseck.
  • William Bill Riley.
  • Riley Kiraly.
  • Lewis Tein.
  • Fowler White Burnett.

An invoice folder does not establish payment. It also does not establish that all listed people or firms represented Epstein in the same capacity or during the same period.

Separate miscellaneous entries concern disputes involving Alan Dershowitz and Gerald Lefcourt. Lefcourt invoices and correspondence involving Harry and Sheryl Reich are also indexed. The labels do not explain the dispute terms or establish wrongdoing by any participant.

A civil litigation witness heading is redacted. The document’s final page lists Reid Weingarten and a Steptoe & Johnson retainer agreement.

The final entry matters because it confirms that the last page belongs to the same continuing office inventory. Ending a review at the aviation or missing file sections would omit a significant portion of its legal and administrative scope.

What the Work Release Letter Actually Says

The December 11, 2008 letter to Captain David Sleeth is a direct route from a cabinet label to a substantive record. The United States Attorney’s Office says it obtained Epstein’s work release file through a public records request and found inaccuracies and omissions.

The letter challenges the employment account supporting work release. It contrasts the salary and employer described in the application with the Financial Trust Company documentation supplied. It also questions whether the Florida Science Foundation represented established employment to which Epstein was genuinely returning.

These are the federal prosecutor’s objections, expressed to the sheriff’s corrections division. They show that work release was being questioned while Epstein was incarcerated. They are not a court order revoking release, proof of every alleged event at the office, or proof that he traveled to New York or the Virgin Islands during his sentence.

The cabinet’s separate Kirkland & Ellis work release binder remains unresolved. Finding the Sleeth letter does not recover that binder or establish its full contents.

The Government Submissions Show a Sustained Defense Campaign

The February 1, 2007 Lefcourt submission begins on PDF page 2 and outlines arguments for a meeting with federal prosecutors. It belongs to the same dated correspondence sequence mapped by the inventory. Its legal arguments and attacks on witness credibility are defense positions, not findings that the allegations were false.

The April 28, 2008 Mandelker submission appears in a court exhibit with an April 8, 2008 letter attached. Those two records help explain the cabinet’s references to alleged Sloman misconduct and appeals to senior Justice Department officials. Starr argued that aspects of the investigation and civil litigation raised questions about the prosecution’s integrity. The allegations must remain attributed to him.

The May 19 and May 27 Filip submissions extend the campaign to the Deputy Attorney General’s office. The later letter sought review and relief from the compliance deadline. Together with the government’s July 7, 2009 reply, these materials let readers compare defense demands with official responses.

The April 8, 2009 inventory entry remains a separate unresolved item. The presence of an April 8, 2008 letter does not authorize changing the inventory’s year. The June 12 draft likewise must not be described as sent without a transmission or received copy.

Survivor Notifications Are a Distinct Part of the Evidence Chain

The September 2, 2008 amended notification collection matches the inventory’s dated notification subject. The letters state that earlier notices contained inaccurate information and describe the state plea, sentence and conditions associated with deferred federal prosecution.

This is evidence that a notification text existed and that changes were communicated. It is not proof that every affected survivor received timely notice before the agreement, understood its terms or agreed to it. No recipient’s identity is needed to evaluate the government’s notification process.

The timing matters. The letters followed the June 30, 2008 plea. A notice sent afterward cannot establish that survivors were consulted before the agreement was made. Delivery to any particular person would require its own evidence.

The Wexner Binder Has a Later Filing Trail

The March 14, 2013 Indyke email names the same sale binder described in the cabinet inventory. Lesley Groff asks where he will place it so she can record the location. Indyke replies that it is a binder and that he will keep it in the drawer with the corporate kits.

This is more specific than a general reference to the Manhattan house. It connects a named transaction binder with an intended storage location in later correspondence. It does not prove where the binder was in 2009 or 2011, establish delivery to that drawer, or supply the purchase agreement inside it.

The broader Financial Trust Company inventory identifies a sale file containing a September 1998 general ledger, contract and promissory note drafts, NES articles, stock transfer materials, Wexner’s director resignation and closing documents. That expanded list helps explain why the cabinet entry describes a corporate sale. It is not proof of the price, payment or execution of each listed document.

The Nine East 71st Street corporate filing production provides actual state records for the corporation. It is a separate source from the sale binder. Incorporation and dissolution paperwork cannot substitute for the stock purchase agreement or closing statement.

Released Trust Documents and the Limits of the Binder Match

The Wexner Children’s Trust agreement identifies Wexner as grantor and Epstein as trustee and carries a February 25, 1998 date. Related released pages include the execution page, asset schedule and notarial acknowledgment.

These are concrete trust documents, not merely company names. Their relationship to the cabinet’s plural “Wexner Trusts Binder” is still a subject match. No recovered contents list establishes that these particular pages were inside it. The trust records must also remain distinct from the corporate sale binder.

Corporate and Aviation Records Beyond the Inventory

The JEGE and Hyperion corporate production includes actual incorporation and franchise tax records. JEGE’s certificate identifies Indyke as incorporator. Hyperion paperwork appears later in the same run. These records corroborate the existence of the corporate paperwork indexed by the cabinet, while leaving its physical copies untraced.

The Freedom Air certificate of amendment changes Shmitka Air’s name to Freedom Air International and bears Indyke’s vice president signature block. It is a strong document type match for the inventory’s name change entry. Machine extracted filing stamps contain errors, so dates should be checked on the scan rather than copied blindly from OCR.

Indyke’s later Sikorsky correspondence explicitly explains the succession from Air Ghislaine to Shmitka to Freedom Air while preserving the same legal entity. That explanation prevents treating the three names as three separate companies. It does not establish a motive for the changes.

The Hyperion Trust G650 deposit reference, on statement page 5, supplies related financial evidence for the Gulfstream purchase subject. A refundable deposit is not proof that a G650 was delivered. The statement is not the missing letter of intent.

The 2012 Boeing sales correspondence describes Quiet Wing modifications. It is relevant to the cabinet’s operating and modification subjects, but it does not recover the Quiet Wing purchase agreement or the August 2009 fuel tank repair email.

Airport and Aircraft Share Records Must Keep Their Dates

The Thomas World Air bank production contains organizational and operating documents, including amended articles and an operating agreement. It provides company records for comparison with the inventory. The indexed Indyke resignation still requires a separately identified matching copy.

The July 8, 2011 Port Authority letter and accompanying application material describe Thomas World Air’s request for hangar space. These are actual airport records. They must not be substituted for the inventory’s specifically dated February 8, 2010 letter.

Indyke’s July 17, 2012 forwarding email directs that a lease attachment be printed and filed in the hangar lease file. It provides evidence of a filing instruction. A cover email does not establish every term of the attachment, execution or occupancy under the lease.

The March 22, 2011 Flight Options material concerns repurchase and JetPASS arrangements for an interest in N493LX. It is relevant to the same aircraft share subject, but it is not the April 22, 2009 exchange agreement. Neither record is a passenger manifest.

Deposition and Clemency Leads That Must Not Be Overstated

The subpoena production index lists a July 29, 2009 Alfredo Rodriguez deposition transcript. It provides an independent route to the dated deposition named in the cabinet. An index listing does not reproduce the testimony.

The Rodriguez subpoena compliance motion discusses that deposition and a dispute over production. It is related court evidence, not a verified full transcript match. Substituting it would give readers a litigation argument where they expected testimony.

The Florida executive clemency rules are another useful but limited lead. The released reference includes March 2011 revisions. It is not Epstein’s clemency package, evidence that an application was submitted, or a grant of relief.

These distinctions matter because the inventory lists both substantive records and research materials. Finding a relevant legal reference does not establish the existence or result of an individual application.

What the Inventory Does Not Prove

The cabinet inventory supports precise findings about listed subjects and annotations. Stronger claims require additional evidence.

ClaimAssessment
Four entries are explicitly annotated missingSupported by the document
Indyke personally wrote the inventoryNot established
Someone deliberately destroyed the missing recordsNot established
Every prosecution agreement addendum copy disappearedNot established; other addendum entries appear
The missing Execujet folder was identical to the second acquisition folderNot established
Epstein flew on either aircraft named in the April 2009 exchange entryNot established
Every aircraft proposal resulted in an acquisitionNot established
The Wexner binder proves a specific property price or giftNot established
Every indexed registration obligation was fulfilledNot established
An invoice entry proves a payment amount or receipt of fundsNot established
A complaint or dispute heading proves its allegationsNot established
A file named for a person or company proves participation in crimesNot established

The distinction is especially important where the inventory uses accusatory or ambiguous labels. An office’s chosen title is evidence of its filing practice, not an independent verdict on the people named.

Sleuth Research and the Corporate Context

Heather Ashley’s financial web report offers a broader entity based research guide to Epstein’s companies, trusts and business connections. It is relevant to the aviation and corporate names found in this cabinet.

That research is useful for locating additional records and comparing company relationships. Its interpretations should be checked against the original filings, agreements and correspondence it cites.

For this inventory, the decisive evidence is the attached 17 page document itself. The missing annotations, repeated addendum entries, corporate sale binder and aircraft share exchange can all be checked directly there. No outside interpretation is needed to establish what those labels say.

For related coverage, see EpsteinWiki’s Darren Indyke deposition article. That separate record should be evaluated on its own terms rather than treated as proof of the inventory’s authorship.

The Most Important Records for Completing the Evidence Chain

The inventory’s four missing annotations and repeated files identify the most useful next documents for a fuller reconstruction.

  • Cabinet movement and custody records: Who moved the files on August 14, 2009, what was checked and whether the two missing folders were later located.
  • All prosecution agreement addendum copies: Signatures, dates, versions, attachments and filing histories sufficient to compare the missing entry with the copies indexed elsewhere.
  • The Kirkland & Ellis work release binder: Its contents, last documented handling, and comparison with the separate arguments summary and sheriff correspondence.
  • Both Execujet acquisition collections: Purchase agreements, asset schedules, Hairoun records, leases, financing documents and closing evidence.
  • Thomas World Air company and lease records: The actual manager resignation, operating agreement, minutes and Port Authority decisions.
  • Aircraft contracts and registry records: Definitive serial numbers, registration histories, delivery records and executed agreements.
  • Flight Options exchange and operating records: The precise ownership interest transferred, followed by independent flight evidence if travel is being investigated.
  • The 2007 flight logs: The underlying pages needed to identify routes and passengers accurately.
  • The Wexner sale binder: Corporate purchase and transfer records, closing statements and any related real estate evidence.
  • Government submissions and replies: The actual defense arguments, recipients, transmission dates and official responses.
  • Clemency and complaint records: Submission evidence, allegations, correspondence and dispositions.
  • Modeling and financial records: Executed contracts, actual wires, loan documentation and immigration outcomes.
  • Civil subpoena productions: The requests and responses concerning Kahn, HBRK, NYSG and the foundations.
  • Legal billing records: Invoices, payment records and engagement agreements that distinguish proposed work from paid services.

These priorities follow from the inventory’s contents. They do not assume that any unresolved transaction or missing file had an unlawful explanation.

Research Scope and Verification Method

The primary inventory supplies the cabinet findings, missing annotations, page guide and detailed catalogue. Released records were searched using dates, senders, recipients, company names, aircraft references and distinctive document titles. Candidate copies were compared with the inventory description and, where available, the document text.

  • Dated document match: Date, document type and correspondent or subject agree with an inventory entry.
  • Entity and document type match: The released filing belongs to an indexed company and paperwork category, but the particular cabinet copy is not identified.
  • Related record: A later email, court filing, bank statement or production index supports the subject without replacing the listed document.
  • Unresolved: No sufficiently identified underlying copy is linked, or the folder’s full contents and custody remain unknown.

OCR mirrors helped locate and read documents. OCR is especially unreliable for signatures, filing stamps, handwritten dates, serial numbers and table columns. Dates or amounts that could not be safely resolved were not supplied as established facts. The original inventory images preserve the source appearance for the central missing annotations.

Heather Ashley’s corporate research supplied a useful route to the Freedom Air amendment. Secondary research was used as a discovery aid, not as a substitute for the original record. No motive for a name change is established by the amendment alone.

This is a complete report on the contents of the supplied inventory and the document relationships identified in this review. It is not a claim that every file named in the cabinet has been recovered or that every document in the public release has been searched. The unresolved table identifies those limits directly.
